What Does the Militia Mean to You?

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Most people fear what they do not understand. Ignorance is the worst excuse for the loss of our Liberty. The second amendment’s first section is often overlooked: “a well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State”. The role of the militia is simple: to protect the people from the federal government. Although very few people understand that this is its purpose, our founding fathers knew very well that a central government eventually becomes tyrannical and implements laws, regulations and in our case executive orders to control the people and steal our Liberty.

I received the following announcement today and was asked to post it. Consider the real role of the second amendment, the sacrifices of our founding fathers and mothers to give us Liberty and the consequences of despair, inaction and apathy. If you are willing to fight, fight for the right reasons. Greed, power and self-aggrandizement are poor substitutes for Liberty and our children’s future.

In order to answer the question posed by the title of this article, you must do some soul searching: once action is taken, you cannot walk away. As we have seen too often in the past, people talk but do not act. When people act, will you stand up or submit?

PROPHECY CAN BE FOUND IN THE STRANGEST OF PLACES

The United States Militias are with you. Do not despair, do not relent. We welcome the removal of masks and the hardness of truth. You are not alone. We were here when it all started. We have paid in blood and tears for thirty years, as many of you now realize you will have to pay. Do not let fear drive you. Do not give up five minutes before the miracle occurs. You are not beaten until you are in the cold hard ground. Do not hide. Do not give up one inch. Go boldly into the fray with faith in your heart and a song on your lips. You, the Patriots of this age are our Sinn Fein, we need you to stand. And in standing, become the stone that can not be moved. Find the Militia in your State, you will find a brotherhood that the Marxists and the Corrupt can not match. You will be welcomed, you will be educated, you will be trained to be an effective freedom fighter.

“We are what our forefathers envisioned, strong-willed,and self-reliant. We are the legacy they fought to build. We are not anti-government, We are anti-corruption. We are not anti-mmigrant,
We are pro-citizenship. We are not separatists, We are Constitutionalists. We know our history and revere it, We love our country and fear for it. We are your mechanics, and your insurance agents. Your police and your firefighters. We are your neighbors. We are Citizens and We are the Militia.”

“HARD RAIN”

Oh, where have you been, my blue-eyed son?
Oh, where have you been, my darling young one?
I’ve stumbled on the side of twelve misty mountains
I’ve walked and I’ve crawled on six crooked highways
I’ve stepped in the middle of seven sad forests
I’ve been out in front of a dozen dead oceans
I’ve been ten thousand miles in the mouth of a graveyard
And it’s a hard, and it’s a hard, it’s a hard, and it’s a hard
And it’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall

Oh, what did you see, my blue-eyed son?
Oh, what did you see, my darling young one?
I saw a newborn baby with wild wolves all around it
I saw a highway of diamonds with nobody on it
I saw a black branch with blood that kept drippin’
I saw a room full of men with their hammers a-bleedin’
I saw a white ladder all covered with water
I saw ten thousand talkers whose tongues were all broken
I saw guns and sharp swords in the hands of young children
And it’s a hard, and it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard
And it’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall

And what did you hear, my blue-eyed son?
And what did you hear, my darling young one?
I heard the sound of a thunder, it roared out a warnin’
Heard the roar of a wave that could drown the whole world
Heard one hundred drummers whose hands were a-blazin’
Heard ten thousand whisperin’ and nobody listenin’
Heard one person starve, I heard many people laughin’
Heard the song of a poet who died in the gutter
Heard the sound of a clown who cried in the alley
And it’s a hard, and it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard
And it’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall

Oh, who did you meet, my blue-eyed son?
Who did you meet, my darling young one?
I met a young child beside a dead pony
I met a white man who walked a black dog
I met a young woman whose body was burning
I met a young girl, she gave me a rainbow
I met one man who was wounded in love
I met another man who was wounded with hatred
And it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard
It’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall

Oh, what’ll you do now, my blue-eyed son?
Oh, what’ll you do now, my darling young one?
I’m a-goin’ back out ’fore the rain starts a-fallin’
I’ll walk to the depths of the deepest black forest
Where the people are many and their hands are all empty
Where the pellets of poison are flooding their waters
Where the home in the valley meets the damp dirty prison
Where the executioner’s face is always well hidden
Where hunger is ugly, where souls are forgotten
Where black is the color, where none is the number
And I’ll tell it and think it and speak it and breathe it
And reflect it from the mountain so all souls can see it
Then I’ll stand on the ocean until I start sinkin’
But I’ll know my song well before I start singin’
And it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard
It’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall

I am curious at this time about these militias. The more curious things to me are; Who runs it?
Who is running this blog? What are we signing up for when we join a militia? One of my biggest fears is to find out my name has just been given to Homeland Security and I am declared a terrorist. This is not 1775. Now a days there is a paper trail of everything.

Roger,
Hate to break it to you Brother but if you read and post on sites like this you are ALREADY on a list. Militias are primarily Local Defensive bodies. For an example of a basic Militia check the link in my sig. We are fairly typical of the 300+ Lawful Constitutional Militias out there. As for paper trails, have you bought MREs? ammo? weapons, gas masks, etc? Then they already know who you are. The point of the Letter was to get as many people as possible to man up and join a local Militia. The more who stand, the more headaches and fear for the oathbreakers in .Gov.

Alright David, It is just that we have to question everything in today’s world.
When a preacher can be called a terrorist because he said in his church that gays are not good. “They” have changed the definition of words to suit their needs.
As you can see you have made me think. I have been doing some prepping. I do live where I believe I won’t be disturbed by riots and civil unrest. I doubt that any military or police action will ever make it through the array of deer rifles possessed by the citizens of the USA.
Would I ever join a militia? probably. As long as the leaders were not strangers and our names were not put into a computer.
I pray David that you will continue to be free and not away from your family.

So David. Is this calling for people to literally take up arms. Are the militia’s going to be doing actual fighting against
the Gov.? there’s many things this could mean, a quote from A. Lincoln doesn’t really explain. It does, but not all the way lol.

I did. Are they saying to join militia’s to start fighting the Gov.? are they finally making that decision? They could be meaning politically. Not very clear.

militia’s, by their very nature, are not centrally controlled, have no one specified leader, and operate based on their individual membership. The very word “militia” in these days, can have many meanings…”community watch” might be less threatening, but even that, after the Zimmerman case, raises eyebrows. “Committees of Safety” during the revolution, might make others feel better…I’ll bet the people in the NE, that are victims of looting, etc. wish they had a militia/community watch/committee of safety to protect them and their private property! There used to be an “NC Militia” which I believe changed into the NC Rangers. Don’t know if it still operates, or not. I don’t think it does.

I believe that if the citizens begin to form militias, organize in various alliances, become more vocal and start to show the government buroheads that we do have intentions of keeping our rights. Non violent protests in all forms are first of which the average person has not done. They have limited our rights to assemble and have free speech by changing the definition of words like terrorism. Thy can’t “outlaw” all of us. We do have the right to keep and bear arms and to form militias.
This country has gotten so off of the precepts it was formed on that we will be lucky to be able to criticize the government soon.
Take up arms to show who we are and that we will not be bullied? YES. Form a militia in your neighborhood or town? why not? The Justice and Home land security departments have bought millions and millions of bullets. Why would they need so many? It’s like there is an arms race here at home. Why would they buy so many bullets if not to intend on using them, against who?
o’bama and Clinton have signed the UN gun ban. When does this go into effect? Who is going to enforce it? Why are there FEMA camps? Who are the guys that are the guards there?
Things are getting very strange out there in big government land.

Lite Rex says ….. stop all the chatter and join a militia, become a sniper… you are going to need it very soon and there are a few thousand in this country that MUST go… and a few million on earth that MUST go too. Like it or not a revolution is coming get ready or die, those in control would not wash their animals with the water they give you & yours to drink. Your environment & your mind are being poisoned… need to talk about anything else????? if so go elsewhere!! and Jerk%$@ some other reader, this one is not interested in your BS!

I am old enough to remember the days when the over throw of the government was advocated in the 60’s. Those great songs of Brewer and Shipley, Dylan and others were thought provoking. I do live a life style in a place where I am ready for the tough times ahead. I am in favor of cleansing the government. If I hear of a local malitia forming I will join. I would like to see a joint consensus of thought heading in a direction that is able to be followed. This is comming but has not reached the point where it has physically united people to action….yet. I am aware of the poisons being perpetuated on society of all kinds. I am also aware of the sheepel that are the go alongs. I have always maintined that I am a Patriot not a Republican or Democrat. The 2 party system has always bothered me. I was born in Massachusetts and have been to Lexington and Bunker Hill. It is a emotional experience to be there and realise what those Patriots did. The politicians have whored them selves of financial gain and ignored the will of the people.
I say, “the uber rich consider us to be just the grains of sand on the beach at their beach party. The believe they can kick us around and walk on us at their pleasure. We don’t matter other than to support them”
What shall be our call to battle? What will unite the believers? Who will unite the fighters?
What is the battle cry?
