What Happened?

NCRenegade.com was down yesterday for an as yet unknown reason. If you used https://ncrenegade.com, there was no issue. If you used http://ncrenegade.com, the site’s DNS would not resolve. The service provided “fixed” the issue late last night.

There were some other issues but I will not go into them now.

It was probable some government goons attacking the site, they are hard at work attacking free speech, anything that does not carry the party line is under attack.

Everywhere there are internet “problems”. I am of no consequence to the big players, yet I have been plagued for weeks at a time with inordinate numbers of Microsoft “updates” which disable all of passwords, account access, and block many emails I would normally receive. Others are saying this too. Grandmothers and grandfathers. Also, I’ve be hacked by scammers necessitating my ip-address to be changed, new passwords for encrypted accounts! and my modem to blow up because of excessive surges during the process of eliminating open doors. This is not just free speech, American sites, it actually has been much more pervasive and deep reaching. I suspect the internet will soon “go dark”. In your prepping, have downloaded important documents? Do you have a way to view downloads outside of the internet? Are documents such as your mortgage papers, birth certificates, college transcripts, deeds to burial plots, car titles, etc. all in paper form? If they are saved to CD, know that discs lose about 10% of their information a year. Prepping is not just about food and defense; it is also about being legally prepared. Glen Beck used to tell the stories of Germans who would come home to people moved in and owning their house. Because they had no paper deed and could not access one, they lost. Remember, evil has to operate by law (under the Law of Sin & Death which translates directly to our legislated & judiciary “laws or judgements”. If you are legally “right” it will buy you time.

Mmm. That’s not suspicious or anything. I suppose a bad actor could have hijacked the non-secure DNS, but your SSL would not allow the https to be hijacked. Another possibility would be our good friends at a particular three-letter agency attempting to redirect non https traffic through their server to collect the ip addresses of visitors.

On the server side, it might be a good idea to simply force all traffic to use https via wordpress, and if someone’s browser doesn’t work, their problem. You can either set it in the .htaccess file or with a plugin. Also, I use Brave browser almost exclusively and have the settings set to navigate directly to https and give me a warning if https is not available.

You have a decent email list. I would be sure to have a copy “off net” of that list and start setting up a second way to communicate. A Telegram channel would be a good option.
