Imagine if a group of people started an underground economy and bypassed all of this.

The Amish and Mennonite have come the closest to doing that. They still use local currency depending on where they are, US, Mexico and Brazil mainly, but are the closest thing to being dependent and separate from the “system”.

If it wasn’t for the whole pacifist take they have on self defense I would have done moved my family to one of their community’s. There is a small one about 25miles from my location, good contacts to have and they sell good quality goods.

Some are not that pacifist. They get together often outside the town I grew up in and shoot a lot. My problem us they are a works based religion.
