When a contract/covenant is fulfilled it is….ready for it…Over. Completed. Done. Obsolete. That is, it is FULFILLED. Finished to the exact terms of the contract (ie the goings on in the New Testament) as spelled out in that contract (ie most of the Old Testament). Yahweh had made an impossible contract for a human to fulfill. It took the Son of God/Son of Man to fulfill it and put it to rest.
I would, in no way, be held to the bindings of a contract that is fulfilled. Charlie got this wrong about the importance of the OT vs the NT.

Excellent! Charlie was truly gifted by God, a Preacher of Righteousness, and yes – he DID die a martyr. His example IS the very definition of a martyr. From his spilled blood, God’s Truth continue forward.
