You mean besides the fact that feeder cattle are almost double as live cattle.? (is that the same as finished cattle?)

Or that feed prices are low, and food prices are {astronomically} high?

i grow the stuff but I have to admit I really don’t understand the “market”.

Recall last years large herd cull due to high feed prices and drought. That is one of the major factors in this. And greed by the middlemen of course.
