Ecclesiastes 3

1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?

10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.

Our country is divided but the divisions can be measured or quantified in different ways. We can no longer afford to allow ourselves to be divided and then marginalized by labels whose only purpose is to divide us. But the true purpose of these divisions is to weaken us to make it easier to control us. What is slavery if not control?

I have no problem labeling myself as a Christian man who knows that freedom is a God given right. I also know what time it is:  it is always time to fight evil. It is not relevant whether it is a time of war or a time of peace. We only have to identify evil in order to fight it. The evil today is our federal government. There is only one example that I need to give to prove this point:

Syrian rebels behead priest

Our government has been and still is funding and supplying this evil. This is not the only example of our government’s evil and treason as defined in our Constitution. How many examples of evil do we need in order to make a decision? We know the consequences of inaction and appeasement from examples throughout history.

What time is it? It is time to put on the armor of God and fight evil. When will America break her chains of slavery? When we understand that the fight against evil cannot be won with silence.

“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

Depends on what you’re willing to risk by speaking out. We’ve seen what happens to some people who’ve spoken out. They’ve lost friends. They’ve lost jobs. A few have been incarcerated. They’ve been vilified, mocked, scorned, derided, called every name in the book and a few have lost everything.

I, would liked to have known that Chinese guy in Tienanmen Square. The guy with the shopping bags who stood in front of the PRC tanks, blocking their way. I would liked to have known the men in the Gdansk shipyard. I would liked to have known the Yugoslavians who stood up to the Soviets. When we’re willing to risk everything, including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for freedom (ours and others) then we’re at the point our founding fathers were at when they signed the Declaration of Independence.

That is a difficult decision to make and one not made lightly. Do I have what it takes? Don’t know, yet I know something must be done or we’re lost as a nation.

if you look at recent videos -- like the man speaking up and simply asking questions about Common Core -- how he was “silenced” and we only heard one woman’s voice saying “let him speak”. Nobody stood up for his right to speak, because people still fell there is too much to lose… I suspect when people feel they have nothing left to lose, they will start to stand up. We’re not there yet.

It may be too late then. When the Nazis, Cheka, Stasi first came for their victims, the neighbors did nothing. When they came for the neighbors there was no one left to stand up for them.

We sound the alarm early and no one does anything because we’re viewed as being “alarmists”, bat-sh*t crazy, as bad or worse than actual terrorists, etc.

In Noah’s day they ignored him as well. See how that worked out for those who ignored him. Got to have ear plugs to drown out the screams of the lost/damned and the will to not open the door.
