Where we are

Paralyzed. In a word we are stuck in inaction due largely to our affection for the things we have accumulated and the people we feel responsible in providing for.

We have jobs and homes, dreams and kids. Our lives. We are loathe to move because moving means incredible loss of personal gain. It would mean fatherless or motherless kids and family without sons or uncles or grandfathers. It would mean prison or suicide by cop, it would mean coming finally face to face with the horror of killing another human or the knowledge that forever the stain of blood is on our hands.

The fact that there isn’t a clear plan or even consensus as to what could or should be done complicates this to an exponential level. The incredible pettiness in the comments of popular blogs and message boards is staggering. We can’t stop fighting over weapon platforms/ammunition or other’s religious beliefs to even stop a moment to consider what is even possible or impossible to do together if we would simply try. TL recently said that it is apparent to him that no organization is possible. He’s right it seems and he tried desperately to do it several times.

What it will take I am afraid, is a realization that the expectation to survive the push to right this nation is gone. We tend to look at the whole situation as a survival based problem for our personal selves. It isn’t. If you are not willing to lay it all down to secure a future for your descendants that isn’t collectivist hell, then you have lost it already.

We don’t put feet on our complaints because we do not want to chance our losing everything. We obey every edict while grumbling and quoting the Constitution and grudgingly go along to “save” what we have. Be honest here, self reflection is the mark of intelligent men, admitting this will be the first step to being free. The inclination is to deny and recoil, but the fact that there has been no real resistance is proof.

So instead we lose everything incrementally until no hope can be left.

I don’t have the answers to what steps you should take. I can’t point you toward the man who can either. We are without a Sam Adams or Patrick Henry in these days. Times are different, the situation is different. The enemy isn’t redcoats or a king, it is ideology and weaponized victimology. We don’t meet this enemy on the Lexington Green.

What is the same is that tyranny flourishes when good men do nothing.

When you approach it from the perspective that preserving your life is not the most important objective, you become free. While affecting things nationally is monumental in scope, your local situation is most definitely a place where things could be done which sent a stern message.

It isn’t glorious or beautiful, it is ugly and will scar a soul. If you relish what this correction will entail then I submit that you simply don’t understand it. If you think yourself such a hard man that you won’t mind at all the horror, then a rude awakening is your reward. Harder men have not been able to process it, you won’t be immune.

Now I’m not indicting you here reader, I am pointing at myself. We need to individually look inward and decide if we will go steadily into darkness, loathe to lose our comfort and assets until the can is kicked to our children… or not.

Until my sense of right exceeds my sense of wrong, I am just a tinkling cymbal.

Yes. The band has stopped playing. It won’t be long now.

I believe we have more patriot statesmen than people realize. They are just tired of being attacked by other “patriots” who are more concerned with themselves than their children’s future.

i believe this fits here? i do not know how many of you may understand this.

7:15-20 Nothing so much prevents men from entering the strait gate, and becoming true followers of Christ, as the carnal, soothing, flattering doctrines of those who oppose the truth. They may be known by the drift and effects of their doctrines. Some part of their temper and conduct is contrary to the mind of Christ. Those opinions come not from God that lead to sin.

Douay-Rheims Bible
Therefore hearken not to your prophets, and diviners, and dreamers, and soothsayers, and sorcerers, that say to you: You shall not serve the king Babylon.
The Yoke of Nebuchadnezzar
…8As for the nation or kingdom that does not serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and does not place its neck under his yoke, I will punish that nation by sword and famine and plague, declares the LORD, until I have destroyed it by his hand. 9But as for you, do not listen to your prophets, your diviners, your interpreters of dreams, your mediums, or your sorcerers who tell you, ‘You shall not serve the king of Babylon.’ 10For they prophesy to you a lie that will serve to remove you from your land; I will banish you and you will perish.…
Matthew Henry Commentary
27:1-11 Jeremiah is to prepare a sign that all the neighbouring countries would be made subject to the king of Babylon. God asserts his right to dispose of kingdoms as he pleases. Whatever any have of the good things of this world, it is what God sees fit to give; we should therefore be content. The things of this world are not the best things, for the Lord often gives the largest share to bad men. Dominion is not founded in grace. Those who will not serve the God who made them, shall justly be made to serve their enemies that seek to ruin them. Jeremiah urges them to prevent their destruction, by submission. A meek spirit, by quiet submission to the hardest turns of providence, makes the best of what is bad. Many persons may escape destroying providences, by submitting to humbling providences. It is better to take up a light cross in our way, than to pull a heavier on our own heads. The poor in spirit, the meek and humble, enjoy comfort, and avoid many miseries to which the high-spirited are exposed. It must, in all cases, be our interest to obey God’s will.
