Riot Breaks Out In Portland As Antifa Activists Clash With Conservative Marchers
Members of Antifa clashed with members of the conservative group Patriot Prayer Saturday evening in Portland, Ore., forcing police to declare that a riot was taking place as officers fired paintballs filled with tear gas into the crowd, according to the Oregonian.
Scuffles broke out shortly after 6 pm local time as Antifa protesters pelted marchers from the conservative group with eggs, water bottles and firecrackers as the marchers spilled out into downtown Portland for their legally permitted march in support of a conservative Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate. The march followed an afternoon rally at Terry Schrunk Federal Plaza, Reuters reported.
I’ve just started reading an interesting book: “Stalin’s War of Extermination” by J.Hoffmann. The author documented Stalin’s plan in the 1930’s to conquer Europe in the advancement of Soviet style world communism.
Germany was, at the same time, developing an aggressive program of National Socialism which was violently opposed to ‘international socialism’ (ie world communism).
Dr. Manfred Kehrig states a simple truth in one of the Forwards: “… the outbreak of the war … was a fight to the death between two totalitarian systems -- both of which used identical methods and measures for the achievement of their political aims.”
Kehrig next states something very relevant to the rapidly heating ‘cold civil war’ in our land. “Any … who made any mention of the Soviet system’s uncompromising contempt for freedom and human dignity and its terror and repression, was almost invariably smeared as a “fascist”, suspected “neo-Nazi”… All those who wished to accept nothing but Soviet system gathered under the banner of “anti-fascism.”
Reflect on that clear explanation for the contemporary label “AntiFa” … an advocate of Soviet style world communism. The leftist American communists calling themselves AntiFa then use the historic label “fascist” for their domestic enemy, the Right, even though it is a false appellation.
While some of us are actively promoting an alternative grounded in Rightful Liberty, I’m becoming more convinced each day that our civil war will become “…a fight to the death between two totalitarian systems…”
The few of us in the liberty movement risk becoming collateral damage as both the Left and Right wrest the powers of government to batter each other … the Left destroying borders and culture … the Right through an escalating effort to recover ‘law and order’.
