Getting into the stock market is easy, but one must go slow at first, study, research your homework on your favorite stocks: Like…..demand, cost, duration, management, cash flow and past history. Gotta have Patience and Faith. The stock market is not for the average Joe, it’s not a ATM machine. You will lose and win, gotta learn when not to be a hog. 8%-10% gain, take half off. Play with house money for half of investment. Even when you think that you have it somewhat figured out, Remember the top guys are pulling the strings.
Right now, just like in the past times. The market will correct and swallow trillions of dollars.
Right now it’s like Russian roulette with a Loaded Gun.

I believe Groucho Marx referred to the stock market as The Big Casino. Although years ago, when I had a brokerage account, I bought some MIC stocks and made some money. But I knew when to get out. And what I had made (after ruinous taxes) went into needful durable goods for prepping, with the leftover cash put into a clean mayonnaise jar and buried in the back yard. With all of the potential turmoil about to break open, I would no more invest in Wall Street than I would jump off of the roof of our house and try to fly. Bleib ubrig.

Since retiring I pulled 70% of my IRA’s each year I would pull more or all but my accountant advised to take so much each year to stay @ the 10% tax burden. I agree the stock market is like a one arm bandit of a casino, the odds are stacked against the average person.

When my employer got bought out it gave me the chance to get my hands on my 401k which I did.
I went ahead and bit the bullet on the taxes so I won’t have to face them in the future.
Put it back in to a Roth and already made a nice chunk so far.
