From a strictly scriptural view , your minor children ( males under 20 and unmarried females any age) are your property. Therefore YOUR responsibility to protect.

Doesn’t matter if its scriptural, legal or whatever. The rules are only what the Laviathan says they are. All other opinions or law mean nothing to them.
