Most people have never been punched in the face, that is when your plan goes to hell. Even with 40+ yrs of practicing martial arts I never underestimate anyone.
Been punched in the face many times. Discovered adrenaline blocks the pain. And so does anger.
You bet Eddie, I grew up in a mainly mexican town, probable been in over a 100 fights. You go for what you know.
Training certainly helps but in a SHTF scenario IMO it’ll all come down to each individuals natural instincts and willpower.
I love this guy. This is probably one of the most important seven minutes of video folks in this day can watch. When you are at 75-85% VO2 max, sustaining that to do work, or worse yet, engage fine motor skills is no mean feat.
Nothing like simulator training. Done a couple sim-houses, corners and funnels will wreck ya. But the idea, the acceptance of taking a life, that can’t be taught. Hesitation is death. Taking action could rip holes in your soul. Situational awareness, do your best to avoid life or death scenarios. I am not an old man, I am not a young man. I am at that point where I would claim anyone putting their hands on me as a life threatening event, thus taking appropriate action. Neutralize the threat.
You hesitate you meditate in the prone position.
