We will be cancelling any additional Hartford insurance policies. This policy was not cancelled for selling firearms: it was cancelled for laser etching unloaded firearms. The 4th of July cancellation date was just icing on the cake for them.
I hope that other readers consider the implications of this policy cancellation and pass it on.

Incremental creep is incremental
What a bunch of commie assholes!
Was this an ordinary “hazard insurance” policy? The normal, fire, flood, tornado, etc., insurance policy?
Does laser etching create a fire hazard?
This was our commercial building contents coverage. There is no fire hazard and we have been doing laser etching for over 10 years. The policy has been in effect for 15 years. The cancellation specially states laser etching of firearms, not laser etching.

Although Pelnik was the agency, The Hartford was the company which cancelled our policy.
My local shop offers the same service. I’ll let them know about this.
What a crock of sh*t.
Especially for a policy insuring contents of building.
