Will Russia’s Retaliation To Ukraine’s Strategic Drone Strikes Decisively End The Conflict?

I’m guessing Russian retaliation will occur after and perhaps depending on the results of today’s meeting in Istanbul.

From Zerohedge:

Ukraine carried out strategic drone strikes on Sunday against several bases all across Russia that are known to house elements of its nuclear triad. This came a day before the second round of the newly resumed Russian-Ukrainian talks in Istanbul and less than a week after Trump warned Putin that “bad things..REALLY BAD” might soon happen to Russia. It therefore can’t be ruled out that he knew about this and might have even discreetly signaled his approval in order to “force Russia into peace”.

I’m so happy to have ended my twenty years of non-voting in Federal elections to cast my vote for Trump (sarc – extreme sarc).

The entire Post.

Yes I voted for Trump a third time, I did not believe things would change just that it would give us more time to prep. Putin has been patient, and I now believe we will see he is done playing the game with nato and ukraine. FA and now we are going to find out.

Putin has to respond.

Yeah, but I suspect not as the Neocons intended.

Putin’s first job is not getting Russia nuked. Plenty of provocations over the last few years were directly intended to get Russia to do something nukeable.

Seems public support is still important to the powers that be. Even in America the call to war needs support.

Remember the Maine, Pearl Harbor, Gulf of Tonkin, Saddam is making bioweapons as Colin Powell waves a small vial of white powder in the UN and so on.

Nothing new under the sun
Herman Goering, a German politician and leading member of the Nazi Party, is quoted as saying, “All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger.” This quote reflects the idea that leaders can manipulate public opinion and actions during times of crisis

The powers that be NEED a war to cover up the economic disaster we are about to have. Great Depression 2.0 with Trump set up to be Hoover 2.0

Ernest Hemingway once said, “The first panacea for a mismanaged nation is inflation of the currency; the second is war. Both bring a temporary prosperity; both bring a permanent ruin. But both are the refuge of political and economic opportunists.”

Protect your trusted family and trusted friends. Get a good relationship with your God. Those get you through hard times.

Putin will need to thread the needle should he resort to tactical nukes (the latter are nukes–they are all nukes, both tactical and strategic).
Meaning, his use of any nuke will need to be retaliatory and limited.
Yet, if Annie Jacobsen’s “Nuclear War” is correct, any use of nukes by anyone is more than likely to kick off the entire shyt show, ricky tick.
Comments on the above article on Zerohedge blather about “Putin who started the war,” completely ignoring the lies, deceit, provocations etc, beginning (formally, at least) in 2014.
Not to mention the destruction of the Nordstream I & II Pipelines, the single most destructive & heinous act of industrial sabotage to have ever occurred in peacetime.
Bottom line: Biden sucks, (((Kagan & Nuland))) suck, the U.S. State Department, the CIA and NATO all suck too.
Psychopaths, all!

Correct! Yet the geniuses in D.C. and NATO believe that they can keep poking the Bear without consequences to them personally.

Psychopaths!

Best response without nukes of any kind, hit every one of the leaders of UK, France, Germany, Poland and then ask if the US still wants to play? Or should they (the Russian) up their game.

I wonder when Putin will be moving his assets deep into America; and start destroying our military production plants? I literally live next door to Lockheed; where the F35 is cobbled together. My chance of surviving an attack here; is zero; but just imaging the awe and power I will witness for a few seconds. All my friends always ask me why I live next-door to it; knowing I could never survive an attack on it. My response is always; why would you want to survive; and have to live in the aftermath.

Your logic is politically incorrect, but infalible. Why indeed? ’69-’73, cold war vet.

It won’t be so bad for me. I’m 1800′ from Lockheed’s property line; and 32oo’ from the actually assembly line. The ONLY clue I will receive that a nuke has gone off; will be my ears popping .0o2 seconds before the blast wall hits me. My Father; who ironically spent 40 years of his life in that facility (as most of my family members did) lives six miles south of here. He will survive; but will be enduring a short, excruciating painful life.
