WOAH, This is a man still on the ground in Western North Carolina after Hurricane Helene. He’s talking to victims and they’re having their land purchased out from under them for $2,500
— Wall Street Apes (@WallStreetApes) November 11, 2024
He says it’s definitely a land grab for the lithium and quartz mining

I remain skeptical of the new administration. Action speaks louder than words. My prayers for western North Carolinians.
Elon Musk involvement with Abermarle Corporation Where does Tesla get its lithium?
https://investingnews.com/where-does-tesla-get-lithium/
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/elon-musk-suggested-getting-into-the-lithium-business-and-these-surging-stocks-show-why-11651699945
Elon Musk (https://time.com/6169100/elon-musk-secures-money-buy-twitter/) wants more lithium, but only a handful of countries can supply the material key to the electrification of transportation, at least for now.
The Tesla Inc. (https://time.com/6168878/tesla-q1-2022-earnings-increase/) chief made a public appeal (https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-04-20/musk-appeals-for-more-lithium-production-to-meet-battery-demand) for more investment in lithium mining to close what he sees as a yawning gap between supply and demand, fueled by the adoption of electric vehicles (https://time.com/6133180/norway-electric-vehicles/)
Musk signaled the electric car giant might finally start mining lithium due to skyrocketing prices. He first mentioned that plan almost two years ago.
I gave this comment a down vote for misdirection. There is no tangible evidence that Elon Musk is exploiting WNC for lithium. If you had done any research, you would see that new deposits of lithium have been found in Nevada and Pennsylvania. You would also have seen that extracting lithium from brine in California will provide it at a 60% price reduction.
But two other reasons that I downvoted the comment are:
Actions do speak louder than words.
Thank you for your outright open down vote. I appreciate this. You made good points about Twitter and Starlink. I am skeptical about all in power. After Covid…No trust.
I did read something about Abeenarle. and Musk interest. I did not save the article. I will keep an eye out on this issue.
Thanx for doing your homework. Oldbev
Is it a one-time payment of $2500 for any amount of land grab? $2500 per acre? Life insurance companies not paying claims is a part of the entire cratering of life insurance due to all of the “died suddenly” deaths and subsequent claims due to the jabs. All insurance is going up as a result.
A new government is needed.
A majority of Americans agree with you as shown on November 5th.
This makes me wonder why we are not up in arms. Guess we need more prodding. Ah, but then, there’s a game on TV and Thanksgiving coming up. Just me babbling. Never mind.
Yet!
The land grab: Electric batteries, Tesla, and Western NC
I found some more info to chew on.
Tesla owner, Musk has a great interest in extracting lithium from clay soil using sodium chloride.
Abermale Corporation coming to western NC. Certainly, Musk is interested!
https://www.albemarle.com/global/en/news/albemarle-submits-state-and-federal-permits-potential-redevelopment-kings-mountain-mine
CHARLOTTE, N.C., September 24, 2024 – Albemarle Corporation (NYSE: ALB), a global leader in providing essential elements for mobility, energy, connectivity, and health, has submitted several state and federal permit applications for the potential redevelopment of the Kings Mountain Mine, one of the few known hard-rock lithium deposits in the U.S. Development of the mine is subject to the successful completion of permitting as well as a final investment decision prior to starting construction.
Awhile back, North Carolina regulators have approved a state mining permit for Tesla supplier Piedmont Lithium to develop one of the largest U.S. sources of the key electric vehicle battery metal, although key financing and local regulatory challenges remain.
State officials had expressed “many concerns” about Piedmont’s plans to discharge chemicals into the public sewer system, according to regulatory filings.
Western NC has been captured. $2500 is all the residents get.
I did not see any reference to TSLA or Musk in your link. Do you know where Kings Mountain is located and if it was impacted by the hurricane?
From Grok:
Hurricane Helene did not directly impact the Albemarle lithium mine in Kings Mountain, NC, as the storm’s effects were more widespread across the region rather than specifically targeting the mine’s operations. However, there has been misinformation and conspiracy theories around the government or companies using the hurricane as an opportunity for land grabs or to advance mining projects, including lithium mining in North Carolina.
Time will tell us all what we need to know. Thank you for your reply. We need as many perspectives as possible. The government has a long history of lying and corruption. Covid, being the latest.
It is criminal what is happening in WNC, every fed.gov department involved should be immediately under investigation.
