Michael Moore and Susan Sarandon have now blessed “Occupy Wall Street”:
“It warms my heart to see all of you here,” Moore told the few hundred people
gathered at Zuccotti Park as part of the “Occupy Wall Street” protest. He told
them they each represented thousands of other Americans, and to not lose heart,
that “our power is derived from the people.”
Moore posted a message on his Twitter account while he was still with the
protesters stating: “This is just the beginning. Honored to be part of this.”
He railed against Wall Street and the richest of the rich, saying “they have
tried to take our democracy and turn it into a ‘kleptocracy.”‘
Susan Sarandon will be back:
“I came down here to educate myself,” actress Susan Sarandon told CNBC.com.
“It’s been really informative and I’ll be back (following a trip to Italy).
There’s a huge void between the rich and the poor in this country.”
I am not impressed with either Michael Moore or Susan Sarandon. Whether this is the spark of the next American Revolution or the Coming Insurrection, the media and politicians are doing an excellent job of covering this up. If the truth is out there, we may have to find it ourselves. As one man states in the video below, this is the radical left’s answer to the TEA Party.

Is this much ado about nothing? I suspect the labor unions will join these protests within a few days which will lead to violent confrontations. I do feel badly for the young people who have a large amount of student debt to repay. Based on their comments, they should have taken one economics course and one US Constitution course. This would have taught them that our country is a Republic based on the free market and that debt only leads to slavery. It also would have helped if their parents had taught them personal responsibility.

About Occupy Together
Welcome to OCCUPY TOGETHER, a hub for all of the events springing up across the country in solidarity with Occupy Wall St. As we have followed the news on facebook, twitter, and the various live feeds across the internet, we felt compelled to build a site that would help spread the word as more protests organize across the country. We hope to provide people with information about events that are organizing, ongoing, and building across the U.S. as we, the 99%, take action against the greed and corruption of the 1%.
We will try our best to provide you with the most accurate information possible. However, we are just a few volunteers and errors are bound to occur. Please be patient as we get this site off the ground and populated and please contact us if you have any info on new events, corrections, or suggestions for this site. You can contact us at info@occupytogether.org.
We will only grow stronger in our solidarity and we will be heard, not just in New York, but in echoes across this nation.
I’d like to address your article one sentence at a time.
It doesn’t matter whether you are impressed. Others will be.
This may very well be the start of the next American Revolution. One can only hope. The media has been slow to respond EG, Washington Post 10 articles, The Wall Street Journal 13 articles, Huffington Post, 51 articles but this is changing. Don’t forget Twitter, swamped with information, directives and re-Tweets, an extremely powerful medium, remember Tahrir Square? They (the protestors) are not going away. The politicians are rightfully worried.
The truth is plain as day. The government is broken. Our leaders are useless. There is NO ONE listening to what 99% of us want. Wall Street merely represents the GREED that has destroyed this nation.
This is not a group from the Radical Left. They are Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, Independents and Constitutionalists. They represent US, all 99% of us who have had it.
Much ado about nothing, see above. And PS, “you ain’t seen nothing yet”.
No matter who does or does not join the protest, violent confrontations will not be initiated by the protestors. The instigators will by the NYPD.
I’m sure many have student debt, they constitute, for a large part, over educated UNDER EMPLOYED citizens.
I love the debt only leads to slavery remark. Seriously, think about that. Are not millions upon millions slaves to their debt because there are no longer any good paying jobs, manufacturing has disappeared, their homes are being foreclosed upon while that 1% just keeps getting richer and richer off the backs of the 99% of us.
Personal responsibility, what more of an example do you need. They are taking a stand, fighting for the return of what this once great country was. Why, because it’s personal to all of them and their followers, and there are legions of them and they, unlike the 1%, are being responsible citizens.
Oh, and don’t forget Anonymous.
I am still not impressed by the likes of Michael Moore and Susan Sarandon. I am not impressed by leftist revolutionaries but I also do not underestimate them or their devotion to their “cause”. You may claim that 1% of the people are the root of our problems while I claim it is the 51% of the people sucking the lifeblood ot the other 49% of the people who understand American principles and values. No one forced anyone to go into debt: people make their own decisions. The average Chinese worker is able to save 40% of their pay because they understand that debt = slavery.
99% are being responsible citizens? I would say that they went into debt and now want someone else to blame. Focusing hatred onto one group in order to blame them for society’s problems leads to a revolution as you want to see. This focus is one of the three tenets of Fascism and history shows us the consequences of Hitler, Mao and Mussolini. Your cause is justified by shifting the lack of personal responsibility to someone else but only in your mind. The 51% who voted for Obama’s hope and change are now experiencing the consequences of Socialism and soon will be experiencing the consequences of tyranny if you continue to be led like sheep to slaughter.
