Charges dropped against man arrested after trying to quote Bible to Pride rally attendees

Charges have been dropped against a Pennsylvania man who was arrested over the weekend after trying to quote the Bible to Pride rally attendees.

“After a review of the incident which took place on June 3, 2023, in the 800 block of Washington Street in the City of Reading, the District Attorney’s Office has withdrawn the charges of disorderly conduct filed against Damon Atkins,” a Tuesday Facebook post from the Berks County District Attorney reads. “The charges were withdrawn after the District Attorney’s Office reviewed the videos of the incident along with applicable case law.”

According to the Lancaster Patriot — which initially covered details of the arrest — an email from Berks County Commissioner Christian Leinbach said “from what I have seen thus far I believe this was an unlawful arrest and could open the City of Reading and their police department to legal action.”

The power of faith in prayer. The arresting officer (the whole of the Reading police dept.?) has showed his mettle for sure. The famished doing their parts to promote the famine. It is difficult not to hate them, but they need our prayers.

The problem is that the cop who arrested him still has his job. What do you think would have happened if Alex Boggs was the prosecutor? The cop needs to be held accountable.

Charges Dropped.. How Nice,, The people who Should be in jail? The guy who arrested him..Dropping charges is just the first step. He needs to sue the bastards. All the way up the ladder.

So the fake charges are dropped, only after effectively shutting down his God given right to speak, so they win that round.
Cop will keep his job and continue to “just follow orders”. He wins that round.
Successful lawsuit against PD will be paid by the same citizens being oppressed by the brownshirts/police. We pay the salary of our oppressors, then we pay their penalty when they get caught violating our rights. Heck of a system huh?

I will add, I spoke to a good friend of mine that is former LEO. Mentioned that it is getting to a point of having no trust in LEOs going forward as they will default to “just following orders” and happily drop the hammer on us to keep the paychecks intact.
He indicated that is exactly how things should be viewed right now and going forward. His opinion (everyone has em), but it was striking none the less coming from him, and without hesitation or apology.

Title 18 Section 242 U.S.C. -- Deprivation of rights under color of authority. A US attorney for that district should be quizzing that officer in front of a federal grand jury. Never happen. Sad that.
