‘Prelude’?..The prelude was when government officials, who took an oath to support and defend the Constitution violated said oath and sold out to[any of several]enemies of the State.
Ive been watching such entities destroy Our Republic since LBJ{ “Give Me This Program and Ill Have Those Ni••ers Voting Democrat For The Next 200 Years}rammed thru his Great Society nonsense in ‘65.
Texas filed an action allowed by the Law..other states agreed.
Its time; one way or the other….Lets Get’er Done..

From the quote, “So, uh, 17 state governments are asking a court to overthrow a national election by throwing out the votes of four other states”

No, the suit is asking SCOTUS to require those states to comply with the constitution by having their legislatures pick the electors. It is not asking to overturn the vote or to have those state’s votes thrown out so that it goes to the each state gets one vote. I believe this is intention as it lessens the exposure to the court in terms of “sticking one’s proverbial neck out” in that all that is being asked is that the States be told they must follow the constitution and their own election laws rather than attempting to ask for any sort of precedent.

“We’ve been here before”, referring to McCarthyism.
Indeed.
To which I would reply -- No, that was a polite investigation, not a Civil movement. It was in the halls of power, not on the street. And lastly, public accountability will mean something entirely different this time. Because we’re already over the cliff as a society. Just waiting for the final, shattering cataclysm of impact.
