A Patriot Act by Any Other Name Would Smell as Tyranny

See Tea Party Nation for additional comments.

The government labels patriots who espouse freedom, Liberty and the Constitution as domestic terrorists. However, these domestic enemies have no problem using these terms to cloak tyranny. The arrogance that they show their “constituents” by illegal spying will continue under a new name. I believe that nothing will change except a false label for tyranny but the end result is the same: the government has no respect for the law or our rights.

What will happen to the illegally stored information already in place? The argument that the government only collected metadata was disproved by the Petraeus case. Whether Edward Snowden was a hero or a traitor, the fact remains that the illegal activity by the government against us had no consequences but political posturing and media compliance.

Another fact: this legislation easily passed the House and Senate. As I have stated before, there is no political solution to our problems.

Senate approves sweeping reforms to NSA spying programs

The Senate on Tuesday sent legislation reforming the nation’s surveillance laws to President Obama’s desk — days after a stalemate caused the National Security Agency’s powers to lapse.

President Obama signed the bill into law Tuesday evening, the White House said.

The 67-32 vote for the USA Freedom Act came more than 36 hours after three parts of the Patriot Act expired, forcing the NSA to wind down its bulk collection of U.S. phone data.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) suffered a political blow during the bruising fight over the legislation. He and other hawkish Republican senators opposed the bill even after the House approved it in a broad, bipartisan vote.

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) lambasted McConnell for the lapse in Patriot Act provisions, arguing it would not have happened if the GOP leader hadn’t spent so much time on trade legislation in the previous month.

Adding further insult to McConnell’s injury, all three of the amendments to the legislation he supported died on Tuesday.

And a majority of Republicans supported this abomination too.
“As I have stated before, there is no political solution to our problems.” There is a political solution if 70% of Americans had the guts and backbone to stand up en-masse and say “No more” with a march on D.C. and July 4, 2015 would be the perfect time to do so.

There is no political solution to anything any longer, Satan is in Charge at this moment and his time is running out and he knows he will be cast into the lake of fire with other fallen angels and he will take almost 2/3 of the human race with him. Only Gods people will survive this until he returns. We Christians are going through the tribulation and we are being refined as Gold as in a firery furnace.
