Education in North Carolina

So what is the solution?

  1. Abolish the Department of Education.
  2. Adopt a curriculum that works. This means returning to the same classes taught in the 1880s: teaching reading, mathematics, grammatical writing and the Constitution.
  3. Education is not baby sitting. Students can be taught effectively in less time. Schools can be done in two shifts: morning and afternoon. This would decrease our school building and infrastructure in half and eliminate the need for cafeterias.
  4. Schools do not assign homework in many cases. Shifts would give students more time to learn by themselves by doing homework while building confidence and knowledge.
  5. Eliminate teacher unions.
  6. Adopt standards for teachers and evaluate their work. Bad teachers have to be fired.
  7. Allow former military with experience in training and teaching to be certified teachers.
  8. Get the police out of our schools. Allow teachers who pass firearms training and discipline to conceal carry in schools.
  9. No drug policy. Any student caught with drugs on their person is automatically expelled.
  10. Cell phones in school should be a privilege. A 3.0 minimum GPA is required to have a cell phone in middle and high schools. No cells phones in elementary schools.
  11. Standardized tests for all schools as developed by the state. A student is allowed to fail a year one time. A second failing year means expulsion.
  12. Hitting a teacher is an automatic expulsion.
  13. Sexual education programs must be reviewed and adopted by parents.
  14. Teachers are not counselors: no sexual manipulation is to be allowed by any teaching faculty.

Let’s go back to practical teaching to give our children a better life.

Education is a privilege, not a right. Lets be crystal clear about that point out of the gate.
While I concur we should get rid of teachers unions, lets blame the perpetrator instead of excusing their behavior by blaming it on the system?
In school or out, a youth male slapping an adult female is unacceptable behavior in our society, period. Its also assault. Put the kid BEHIND BARS, where animals like him belong.
Stop excusing everything and trying to shift the blame. The person acted like an animal of their own volition and free will, so treat them like one. Lock them in a cage. I don’t care how many miscreants we have to lock up, civil society should not be held hostage by animals who choose to live among us but not participate in society. At least not as long as we have guns. Just shoot the mongrels next time.

What we will begin to see in incidents like this is, if the law does nothing to people who hurt others, a friend or relative will do something.

Abolish the entire nationwide gulag of government monopoly day prisons, and ONLY allow a competitive free market, free of ALL government involvement, to provide educational services to customers. This would of course include charity schools, business-sponsored schools, on-line, co-op, neighborhood, private, home, etc. reflecting the creativity of the providers and meeting the needs of the customers. Also private, VOLUNTARY scholarships to further address the financial needs of some. ONLY such a marketplace of services would provide the ACCOUNTABILITY and QUALITY that parents, students, AND SOCIETY demands and requires.

Amen to your list of what needs to be done. I agree with every one of them. Our education system shouldn’t even be called education at this point. I graduated high school right before Jimmy Carter created the federal Dept of Education. Each district was responsible for setting their criteria (this is in upstate NY) so it was smaller than county-wide. This meant each district tried to be the best and, therefore, the students benefitted. I’m all for going back to that. L

This will only get worse with all the Immigrants pouring through. If you’re a teacher watching this…is your retirement really worth putting up with this? This teacher is lucky…this time its a smack/punch to the face, next time that thug will have a gun! …got your protective class 4 vest on?

OPM: “If you’re a teacher watching this…” ?! First of all, most teachers will not even be aware of this because they are in their own little world. I am credentialed and taught part-time in CA for over 20 years. My full-time job was working as a Peace Officer in SoCal. After retirement I spent a great deal of time teaching in Oregon and North ID. While working the streets of SoCal, I spent a great deal of time arresting the dysfunctional human dreck created by the “Public Education” system. The deterioration started in the early 1960’s. It cannot be reversed.
Given the genetical indoctrination of hatred Blacks have against non-Blacks, there is no solution other than GOOD. CNN interviewed some Black woman a few days ago when OJ assumed room temperature. The gist of the conversation boiled down to Blacks have no problem killing Whites. Those of us in the LEO community have known this for many, many years. This is why the Redoubt is so full of retired cops. I look at this pathetic, clueless woman who put up with this as one of the sheeple who will be culled. Her and her ilk have created this situation with their woke, progressive mindset and voting habits. Wait until the Amerikan economy goes full Weimar. The culling will be horrific. For those of you behind enemy lines in the Blue Hives, plan accordingly. Bleib ubrig.

All this began when they took God, the Bible and prayer out of schools. Nothing will get better until they are put back.

You are 100% correct. It has been the moral ruin of America. And what was even worse was when the WHOLE word of God was voluntarily taken out of the pulpits in the churches.

So please explain how THEFT, the VIOLENCE of mandatory attendance laws and theft, etc. ALL fit in with “god” and the Bible in schools? Everyone wants to pretend that these aren’t SOCIALIST schools, funded by violence and theft, but in the end, that is EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE. Pay your own way, elicit the VOLUNTARY CHARITY of others if you are needy, or stop complaining that the clearly IMMORAL structures that you support have suddenly turned against your wishes.

I am not advocating public schools at all. I simply point out that in schools, public, private or even home schools, if the Lord Jesus Christ is rejected there will be a spiritual void. The spiritual side of God’s creation, just like the natural side of His creation, abhors a vacuum. This means that when God is removed, evil will fill the void. This is what has happened to the hearts of the American people.

If this happened in Japan--this thug would face a minimum of 1 year in a juvenile detention center. Minimum--and the record would follow him for the rest of his life, meaning no good jobs, no higher education. Zip. Nothing but crap low-pay jobs for the rest of his life--if that. Disruptive students are segregated from regular students and put in hold-pen-schools which are just that--fenced off holding pens. High school there is not mandatory--you can apprentice at the age of 13 into something. You have to take tests to get into the better high schools, which are a ticket to the university systems there. We have no accountability here. Students like this should be taken out and immediately expelled permanently. Period. Then prosecuted and jailed for assault/s. Note this teacher just sits there like a mook and takes it. She should at the minimum have a taser to zap this little turd’s ass and make him lick the floor in pain. Better yet, a snub-nosed .357 which she should have unloaded into this thug.

At least 1 year in juvenile detention, never have another chance at school, be socially ostracized and will never be allowed to have a shot at a decent career. May likely kicked out of the family and home as well.
One other aspect the teacher will be receiving compensation from the family, in order to take responsibility. In Japan, we know consequences. Runs much deeper than just legal.
