Christians must work for God not man. We should be more interested in Thus saith the Lord than Thus saith the man

The people of ancient Egypt sold all that they had to Pharaoh, including their lands and themselves, for food to sustain them during the famine. Genesis 47 verses 23-24 tells us of the sharecropper system that the Egyptians lived under after the famine --
Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land.
And it shall come to pass in the increase, that ye shall give the fifth part unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones.
Pharaoh required only 20% of the people’s income be given to him.
Today, as near as I can tell, average American taxpayers pay income tax of almost 25%. In addition to the income tax, they must pay over 7.5% of their income as FICA tax. On top of these are sales tax, gas tax, property tax, etc., etc.
The self employed pay even more.
Quite a contrast between the tax systems of ancient Egypt and modern America.

The truth, it is way past time to water the tree and take back our liberty and freedom.
not only water that tree, but use it’s mighty branches to hang our internal enemies from.

I spotted that decades ago. I could have chosen to not be the worker bee,but I convinced myself to do it,working more, having less, and watching Them steal and mismanage everything. The rope manufacturers will need to get rich soon.

well said, and totally true, time to stop supporting a backwards regime!
