New DJI Mini 4

DJI Mini 4 Pro Drone Fly More Combo Plus with RC 2 Controller

Fly safer and farther than ever before with the Mini 4 Pro Drone Fly More Combo Plus with RC 2 Controller from DJI. Significant upgrades have been made to both vision sensing and transmission range compared to the last generation. Instead of tri-directional, the Mini 4 Pro has omnidirectional obstacle avoidance for complete protection. Using OcuSync 4, the flight range is improved to up to 12.4 miles vs. the 7.5 miles of the Mini 3 Pro. Other new features include slower motion in 4K at 100 fps and complex route planning using ActiveTrack. The Mini 4 Pro remains beginner-friendly at roughly 8.8 oz with a host of automatic flight modes, in addition to true vertical shooting for social media-ready footage without post-processing.

Interesting, but if I had an extra $1,159 laying around (yeah, right) I would use it to buy silver.

Its a force multiplier. Silver isn’t going to show you and your team how your enemies are maneuvering on you.
Just sayin……

Your enemies will simply turn this thing off. You need digital permission to fly these things.
Hint: see if you can find one that will operate without internet or cell phone.

I have been unable to locate any drone that will operate without at least initially “phoning home” with information that will absolutely identify you. Yes, if the internet is unavailable, it will still operate in a crippled mode, but rest assured it is operating under the control of software that you do not fully control, and which will occasionally at least communicate with it’s true owners. I’m confident that even without net access, that there are overrides to shut it down via radio emissions. You won’t be using these against the state, unless you first get control of it… which will require purchasing an in-circuit emulator for the main processor, and many long hours of reverse engineering the firmware.
Been there, done that… it’s easier to build one from scratch.

I should also point out that local law enforcement now have “stingrays”, and will have the means to kill these as soon as they can afford it. No one will admit publicly to either.

Furthermore, law enforcement is not that bright when it comes to technology. Some of us “local people” are, and already have to means to jam the control signals, and to spoof GPS to cause it to land where told.

They’re not without use, but have a plan B, and expect them to fail when you need them most.

this is a great small drone unit, i would consider purchasing this since it’s night vision equipped and the 12-mile distance it can fly with the battery back up.

I wonder if DJI has a back door built in. Somehow I suspect so.

A potentially life-saving tactical tool. Was thinking about these just yesterday.
