I did not know this about oatmeal. Everything else makes perfect sense, and now I understand why I always feel like crap after having oatmeal for breakfast.

It really is amazing how inverted the Government’s health advice is. Like, totally, completely, 100% backwards.

Our bodies are amazing machines, if we would but feed them properly. Stop eating processed crap (or at least less). Eat real food. It is more satisfying and you will naturally be less hungry.
Start reading labels. Buy no or low salt. Work on cutting back on the salt shaker. It’s easier than you might think. Like pine trees that shed and replace all their needles over a period of seven years, we humans replace all our taste bud cells in about ten DAYS. After doing this for a few months, wife and I treated ourselves at our favorite BBQ joint. I took one bite of a pickle slice and couldn’t eat it. It tasted too salty. As my taste buds acclimate, I find more and more that I enjoy the taste of REAL FOOD. And just for the record, I am 70+ years old.
HUGE wake up call for me- you can eat bread- just STOP eating Us wheat where possible and for God’s sake never eat anything with ENRICHED wheat in it- it’s dead and inflammatory, highly processed and the enrichment is removing it’s life force and adding chemical “vitamins”.
A million x AMEN! Imagine a population so brainwashed it thinks it needs poisons daily to hide symptoms that did not exist 100 years ago, and that think if it’s being sold as “food” in stores and restaurants, it’s ok to eat because it tastes good.
Frankly- knowing that the food and pharma industry not only doesn’t care- it’s actively trying to destroy my health- I take that rather personal and get offended just as if someone were trying to violently attack me. Self defense is required here as much as anywhere- WTFU. But what do I know…you do you.
My wife has worked in cardiology for 35 years. It amazes me how propagandized are the Drs with whom she works. Their willful ignorance of nutrition is astounding. Most, not all, but most are exceedingly ignorant of most subjects outside their area of expertise. It was shockingly glaring during the Scamplandemic.
for those of us outside of our areas of expertise, we need to research and not just follow along with the doctor’s ring around the rosy. For years I’ve always bought up to date PDR’s and nursing dictionaries and technical procedures books, just to start the research ball rolling.
