Provo police have confirmed that one person was shot during a protest Monday night near the police department.
The victim, a 60-year-old Provo resident, remained hospitalized Tuesday but was “stable,” according to police. The man was not part of the protest or counter-protest that had been going on, but was just driving in the area, said Provo Police Sgt. Nisha King.
The victim was driving a white SUV on University Avenue and was attempting to turn onto Center Street when a group of protestors began “crowding around the vehicle. A male protester ran to the SUV on the passenger side, pointed a handgun at (the) driver and shot one round through the window,” according to a a synopsis of the incident by Provo Deputy Police Chief John Guyerman.
The driver, who was struck by a bullet, “hit the gas trying to leave the situation,” Guyerman said.
What is worse: the “protesters” are attacking innocent people with impunity or the fact that the government is allowing it to continue? Either way, it is open season on good people who only wanted to be left alone.
We have limited options in what is now a civil war. They want more: more reparations, more kneeling, more control, more of everything. What do you want now that apathy is no longer an option?
America is now in the midst of a civil war, but only one side is fighting… the anti-America side.
The enemies of America are not merely tearing down statues, beating white people on the streets, torching local businesses, seizing city property and assaulting police, they are intent on overthrowing the United States of America and rolling out a communist authoritarian regime. Under their desired regime, the U.S. Constitution would be completely nullified, private firearms ownership would be criminalized and no speech would be allowed anywhere in America unless it’s speech that worships Black Lives Matter, LGBT lunacy, Antifa terrorists and other required champions of “progressivism” (which has now devolved into a dangerous cult of mass mental illness).
So far, pro-America forces are refusing to fight, surrendering everything to the lunatic Left. But that’s about to change. We’re already seeing evidence that ordinary Americans, fed up with the terrorism, destruction of property and outrageous insanity of BLM and Antifa, are picking up their firearms and taking a stand to defend themselves against left-wing terrorists.

Roughly half a million Chinese living in Hebei Province (not Hubei, Hebei), a province in northern China that surrounds Beijing (which operates as an independent ‘national city’) are under lockdown, but in an effort to try to convey just how prepared Chinese public health officials are for another outbreak (keep in mind, the WHO’s “independent” delegation of investigators is expected to arrive in China next week) they’ve warned every English-language media outlet that will listen that officials have identified another potentially pandemic-quality flu pathogen.
According to the BBC, Chinese scientists have identified a new strain of flu that has “the potential to become a pandemic”. It emerged recently in China’s already-dwindling pig population, but scientists say it can infect humans, which would make it similar to the H1N1 virus that spread across Asia and made it all the way to North America in a short-lived pandemic.

The more I’ve thought about this phrase, the more I believe it. There is now a small group of passionate people working hard to destroy our American way of life. Treason and treachery are rampant and our rule of law and those law enforcement professionals who uphold our laws are under the gun more than at any time in our nation’s history. These passionate 2 percent appear to be winning.
Despite there being countless good people trying to come to grips with everything else on their plates, our silent majority (the indifferent) can no longer be silent.
If the United States wants to survive the onslaught of socialism, if we are to continue to enjoy self-government and the liberty of our hard-fought freedoms, we have to understand there are two opposing forces: One is the “children of light” and the other is the “children of darkness.”
As I recently wrote, the art and exercise of self-governance require active participation by every American. I wasn’t kidding! And voting is only part of that active participation. Time and again, the silent majority have been overwhelmed by the “audacity and resolve” of small, well-organized, passionate groups. It wasn’t that roughly four years ago Trump promised to get rid of medical monopolies; three separate bullet points on his campaign web site. Three! Unprecedented for a political campaign, and all three disappeared within 15 minutes of the election being called for him. I know because I was watching the returns in a Pensacola Bar with my laptop tethered to my phone and saw them disappear.
It wasn’t the promise to get rid of chain migration repeated throughout the campaign which also disappeared and nothing has been done.
It wasn’t the promise to stop H1b abuse which every single tech company loves (and thus makes their stock price go up), and which of course he also did not do.
It wasn’t his promise to get rid of birthright citizenship by whatever means necessary including executive order.
It wasn’t his signing of every Democrat spending bill, without exception, including a government shutdown for which he got nothing in return. It’s not like this is the first time for such bull**** either; Reagan, if you recall, got a promise to cut spending out of Tip when he was President in exchange for his tax cuts. The spending cuts were never even proposed yet Reagan never enforced that bargain.
It wasn’t his repeated and outrageously false claim he was going to “build the wall” nor his repeatedly and outrageously false claim about miles built which are in fact nothing more than fence repairs on existing fences, nearly all of which can still be defeated with tools bought at Home Depot.
Surveillance video of a shooting at Seattle’s CHOP zone that left a black 16-year-old boy dead and a 14-year-old seriously injured shows gunfire ringing out as the Jeep the teens were in plowed into a barricade and a man screaming: ‘Oh you’re not dead yet?’.
Homicide detectives said they are investigating after the two teenagers were shot in a white Jeep near a makeshift barrier around the Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP) zone at about 3am on Monday.
Those inside the zone say CHOP security guards, who are self-appointed and heavily armed, started shooting at the Jeep only after the teens opened fire on them and drove into a barricade.
The Federal Reserve bought bonds issued by companies including AT&T Inc., UnitedHealth Group Inc. and Walmart Inc. as part of its emergency lending program set up in response to the pandemic, according to new disclosures.
On June 16, the U.S. central bank began purchasing securities of individual issuers as part of a broad index it created to include companies that were eligible for the program.
The disclosures, posted Sunday, showed that of the $207 million of purchases made on the first day of buying, about 21% were of debt issued by firms in the consumer non-cyclical sector, while 15% were of consumer cyclical debt and 10% were of technology debt. Issues rated below investment grade comprised 3.6% of the securities acquired.
In a separate disclosure, the New York Fed released the composition of the broad index the central bank is using to conduct the purchases. Fed officials have said the goal of the buying is to maintain liquidity in the market for corporate debt, so that issuers are able to access capital despite the deep economic downturn created by the pandemic. The index is comprised of almost 800 issuers.
A Black Lives Matter leader told Fox News on Wednesday evening that if they are not given what they want then they will “burn down” the system.
Hawk Newsome, head of Black Lives Matter for Greater New York, part of the neo-Marxist Black Lives Matter movement, made the remarks in a combative interview with Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum.

Those scenarios are possible, except for #1. Actually, #2 could only ever be temporary, as I don’t even believe that a full blown police state could hold it together. Neither do others, I suspect, as witness the massive gun and ammunition buying spree Americans are currently on.
But burning the system down isn’t something that will happen in the future- it’s already happened. The fruits of Horace Mann (1796 – 1859) and John Dewey took a long time to ferment, but they did, and their children now self flagellate over “wokeness” and whiteness and imaginary infractions and sins, all the while ignoring the maker of the universe, the only sovereign, and the only potentate who can legitimately demand loyalty and obedience.
The real root of the problem lies not in the current disembowelment, but rather, that it is a replacement religion for the vacuum left by the utter and complete failure of classic Christianity in the West. True religion, Christianity, was under attack for centuries by German higher criticism and modern philosophy, but actually held fairly strong in America until about the early 20 century.
By that time, the influence of John Darby (1800 – 1882) had begun to be felt, and his acolyte Scofield (1843 – 1921) popularized his ideas. Mann’s ideas would have had little traction had it not been for a weakened, decimated Christianity that believes that the world is getting worse and worse and worse and Jesus is coming soon, and rather than “take every thought captive” to the claims of Christ, as the Calvinist would say, the job of the Christian is to make converts, cloister and expect the soon release from the hell that the church themselves created by turning their backs on the world.
Rather than be salt and light as commanded, the church turned over science to Darwin, the arts to the pagans in Hollywood, and politics and law to the demons in Washington and their “expert” linguists in the schools of law to teach them how to twist every word ever spoken. The racists want reparations, or more redistribution of wealth (a colloquial term for theft), the woke mob is even now targeting STEM, and the Marxists want to tear down now just statues, but every vestige of Western history and culture, most especially the church.
America is not going to rupture, it has already ruptured. The framework had begun to be hatcheted some century or more ago. The American church is to blame. “Go forth and make disciples” became “Go forth and snatch brands from the fire before we all get a free ride out of here, and maybe there will be football, beer and brats in heaven.” The church got one half of it right, but therefore all of it wrong because it missed the “disciples” part of it.
Dispensational, premillennial rapturism neutered American Christians and rendered them pathetic; it is the greatest lie and hoax ever perpetrated on the Christian church. If you’re looking for a root cause of all of the pain and suffering we are soon to endure, look no further than ourselves.

After writing a particularly depressing article where I come to a logical conclusion, based upon the factual evidence of all previous Fourth Turnings, I always wonder whether I’m being too pessimistic and peddling doom, like many of the clickbait websites. The conclusions I reached at the end of my last two articles were particularly gloomy and made me wonder whether I was going too far. I thought maybe I was too pessimistic and my predictions of civil chaos and global disorder were overblown.

It just so happened I published my last article on May 24, predicting a 2nd Civil War. I figured we might have a couple years to prepare, as there is likely five to ten years before this Fourth Turning reaches a climax. Little did I know a black man with a long criminal background, high on fentanyl and resisting arrest in Minneapolis, would be killed by a white police thug named Derek Chauvin, who had seventeen complaints against him over his illustrious career, on the day after my article was posted. Oddly, it seems this murder will be our Fort Sumter/Pearl Harbor of this Fourth Turning.

The death of George Floyd, if it had not been caught on video, would have been a two-paragraph story on page fourteen of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Instead, his death was used by numerous political factions to ignite a worldwide firestorm of protests, riots, looting, murders, and wholesale destruction of businesses and neighborhoods. His elevation to sainthood by the left-wing media, left wing politicians, and race baiting hucksters like Al Sharpton has been nothing but a coordinated attempt to further destabilize the country and bring down Trump.
The virtue signaling by corporate CEOs worried about profits, left wing Hollywood egomaniacs, sports figures who think their opinions matter, and the Silicon Valley social media titans of allowable speech, has been a pathetic display of pandering and kneeling before BLM thugs and ANTIFA terrorists.
The last month has been a surreal concoction of lawlessness, battles in the streets, political cowardice, mainstream media malfeasance, and an almost incomprehensible descent into madness. While normals watched events play out on their TVs in disgust and bewilderment, since they were still locked down by politicians who gleefully encouraged protestors (aka rioters) to spread coronavirus, three funerals for George Floyd (JFK got one) somehow devolved into BLM and ANTIFA terrorist activities across the globe.
Then the propaganda machine kicked into high gear peddling a false narrative about systematic racism destroying the country, as weak-kneed white leaders began kissing the feet of Sharpton and his race baiting loyalists. The utter falsity of everything we are seeing, hearing, and being told by “experts”, “journalists”, and politicians is breathtaking in its audacity. But at least the stock market is up.
Our second Civil War is underway, except only one side is fighting. At first, it seemed like the initial protests against police brutality were spontaneous, but it became immediately obvious political operatives used this incident as an opportunity to inflict their Marxist ideology upon the nation, with the support of left wing media outlets and opportunistic Democrat politicians, who saw this as another opportunity to undermine the Trump presidency.
Anyone who questions the narrative is immediately condemned as a racist, with the leftist mob out for blood, figuratively by trying to get them fired, or literally by physically assaulting them and their businesses. When identical protests/riots blossomed in Democrat controlled urban paradises across the U.S. and then in foreign capitals in Europe, it was clear there was big money bankrolling this effort to undermine traditional society and destroy our two hundred and thirty one year culture of liberty and freedom.
Those mysterious pallets of bricks appearing at riot central in every Democrat controlled city in America didn’t deliver themselves. Whatever peaceful intent some protestors may have had was hijacked by centrally coordinated organizations hell bent on destroying the moral and ethical foundations of our country.
I haven’t written anything in over a month because I’ve been trying to decipher the truth about this coordinated effort to destroy the underpinnings of our civilized society. Just as the impeachment scam was ending and the Russiagate conspiracy was about to be revealed as a coup attempt engineered by Obama, Biden, Comey and their band of Deep State minions, the Covid-19 pandemic conveniently engulfed the world in fear, with medical “experts” declaring millions would surely die unless we closed the global economy and sheltered in our basements.
