The Evils Of Money Printing (Coronavirus Response)

On par with the terrible public health costs of covid-19 has been the horrific damage it has done to the global economy. In the US alone, over 36 million jobs have been lost (so far) and Q2 GDP is predicted to be down -43%.

Our political and economic leaders have been out at the forefront of the emergency response efforts to deal with this crisis. But in many ways, their “rescue” efforts are just as pernicious as the coronavirus itself. Jay Powell, Chairman of the US Federal Reserve, has overseen more than $2.6 trillion in new liquidity being flooded into the system.

And on 60 Minutes last night, he told the nation he’s standing ready with the Fed’s ability to print ‘infinite dollars’ should more rescue be needed. But as usual, no one asked him what the repercussions of printing so many dollars are.

He wasn’t asked about how the Fed’s recent efforts have vastly enriched the already-wealthy, while the remaining 99% are dealing with job loss and spiking costs of living. He wasn’t asked how taking on trillions of more debt will help America recover from its current insolvency crisis — a crisis the Fed was a direct enabler in creating.

The greatest wealth transfer in US history is underway, in broad daylight. What will it take for the mass public to start seeing money printing for what it is: a robbing of our future prosperity by the top 1%?

A Short Story: IT WAS TIME…

Posted by johnyMac at American Partisan

It Was Time…

The Operations team had been watching the governor’s mansion for just over two weeks. The team knew the comings and goings of housekeepers, food trucks, security, friends, staffers, and even the exterminator. There was nothing they did not know about the governor’s day.

Four weeks earlier, the Governor was sued by a group of businessmen and a few State Congressmen. The suit revolved around the Governors “Emergency Order” forcing the state citizens to shelter in place along with closing all privately owned businesses. The goal was to lock down the state for three weeks “to flatten the curve“, the Governor said.

At the end of the three weeks the Governor extended the order for an additional eight weeks.

Citizens were restricted to essential travel, which boiled down to travel to grocery and drug stores or doctor appointments. No grass cutting, fishing, or travel to a citizen’s additional properties was allowed. State Police were pulling citizens over on the interstate and questioning the purpose of their travel. If the Trooper deemed travel not appropriate, the Citizen and all passengers were given a $1,000 ticket. Then, a tow truck was called, and the Citizen’s vehicle was towed off to a impound yard. The Citizens in the vehicle were taken to their home by the State Police Trooper that had stopped them.

During the ride home the citizens were told that if they left their homes again for unnecessary travel and were caught, they would receive another fine and get to spend seven days in jail as a guest of the Governor. Most cities and towns police departments were doing the same – especially during the curfew period of 8pm to 6am.

The lawsuit was launched days after the extension of the Emergency Order by the Governor. The suit made its way through the courts in a week’s time to the States Supreme Court. The suit revolved around the fact that the Governor cannot make laws, only the Legislature could. Much like on the federal level, the Executive’s job was to enforce the laws, not to make them.

The day the suit was argued in the States Supreme Court, a man invited three men and one woman to his cabin for a meeting. The host had handpicked these four patriots for just this kind of an operation months before.

TRUMP TAKES Hydroxychloroquine: President Trump Says He Takes Preventive Measures

Hydroxychloroquine was documented in 2005 to help cure SARS-COV. In conjunction with zinc and a Z-pac, the viral impact is reduced. We no longer have to ask the questions of why; we know the answer.

Police to New Jersey gym that opened in defiance of order: “Have a good day”

Around 10:30 a.m. Bellmawr police officers approached the door through the crowd to speak with the gym’s owners. The officers informed them that they were “formally” in violation of the shutdown order.

“Formally, you are all in violation of the executive order. On that note, have a good day. Everybody be safe,” the officer said before walking away as the crowd erupted in cheers.

An attorney representing the gym tells FOX 29’s Alex George that they later received a summons for disorderly conduct from Camden County police. New Jersey State Police say the patrons inside the gym were issued warnings.

MINUTEMEN: The Malignancy

Secular progressives who hold fast to leftist ideology try to pass off their totalitarian ideals as something that resembles representative government. Nothing could be further from the truth. Irradiating the malignancy of more than a century of progressive dogma is rapidly becoming a reality.

Beware The CoronaNazis

How much damage can Coronaphobics and Coronanazis do to recovery? In the first bracket are the genuinely scared – frightened by the excitable news flow, and what the virus will do to them and their families. How to reassure them?

The CoronaNazi camp is more dangerous.

There seem to be an increasing number of players willing to play politics to delay reopening to prize concessions and control. Corbynistas (yes, there is still a nest of them at the extreme end of the UK political spectrum) are demanding the unions are given control of workplaces to ensure worker safety is a complete red herring – but try to criticise it, and you will be trolled! (Some of the tweets are hilarious.) All political actions have consequences – and when the government has to play to the fears of Corona-phonics and respond to the Virus-Nazis, we are going to get sub optimal outcomes.

T.L. Davis: Colossal Failure of Government

Never Let a Serious Crisis Go to Waste by Philip Mirowski | Times ...

History is an incredible predictor of future events, but it is generally unknown or more often misunderstood. Cinco de Mayo is indicative of this misunderstanding. A lot of Americans think it is the Mexican independence day, but it’s not. Cinco de Mayo is the celebration of the victory over the French Navy that arrived to collect the money owed to France, Britain and Spain. The French troops fought a battle in the city of Puebla, where they lost, providing Mexico a cause for celebration, if short-lived.

Today, we hear of the U.S. and China arguing over money owed in one way or another, to one or the other. A lot of things can start a war, most often it is money. The rise of Hitler was due to the demand for reparations for World War I, when Germany was broke, suffering from a depression and still those owed would not give a reprieve. The resentment caused by this allowed Hitler to build an army.

Millions of Americans are losing their livelihoods complying with stay-at-home orders. This is happening to the same people who have watched the deep state actors attempt a coup while CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC and the rest cheer on this government corruption, knowing deep down that the same people that stand behind them, also stand behind the petty tyrants occupying governor’s mansions. Governors who vindictively impose harsher and more stringent penalties for disobedience. Make no mistake, it is not the ultimate health and well being of the people they are trying to protect, it is their power, their autocratic rule they believe to be in danger.

The average American is just now trying to digest the reality of the bureaucratic prison they have built for themselves. At the same time, the communists are coming out in force to install their utopia. Never let a crisis go to waste. They are on the cusp of everything they have dreamed of and all it takes is for good people to do nothing, stay at home, obey the rules, fear their power. But the weakness of communism is its inability to understand economics. The true leaders of communism know the economics don’t work, but they rely on slogans and faulty assumptions to inspire their minions to revolt. In fact, anyone who does understand economics cannot believe in socialism or communism as anything other than a means to obtain power. This pandemic is not the panacea they think it is, it’s the warning shot across the bow to people that would otherwise never see the reality of the situation, an enlightenment of sorts.

A Silver Lining, by Robert Gore

Who will fight for your rights?

…we are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force.

Ayn Rand, Capitalism, The Unknown Ideal, Appendix, “The Nature of Government,” 1967

We are no longer fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion, we’ve arrived. It is the stage of which every would-be dictator dreams, where his whims are absolute, and everything everyone else says, does, or thinks must comport with those whims, even—impossible though it would be—when they are contradictory.

Science is anti-whim. Nature, as Francis Bacon observed, to be commanded must be obeyed. Nothing illustrates the ultimate inversion of the official coronavirus response better than its leaders’ assault on science in the name of their “science.”

Doctors have been discouraged or prohibited from administering hydroxychloroquine, by itself or in conjunction with other medications, vitamins, and zinc compounds, to treat Covid-19. They have observed and documented the effectiveness of such remedies—mitigation or elimination of the disease’s symptoms—but their observation and documentation are dismissed. Only the validation procedure mandated by the medical bureaucracy—the expensive and complex multistage tests required of new drugs to establish their efficacy and safety—will suffice for official permission. It’s what their “science” demands of a cheap and seemingly effective remedy that’s been on the market for years as a treatment for lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and malaria.

Study Points To COVID-19 Lab Creation; Lead Author Suggests ‘Forced Selection’ Vs. Genetic Engineering

study led by Flinders University vaccine researcher Nikolai Petrovsky in Australia reveals that SARS-CoV-2, the virus which causes COVID-19, is optimized for penetration into human cells vs. animal cells – undermining the theory that it naturally evolved in animals before jumping to humans, according to LifeSiteNews‘ Matthew Cullinan Hoffman.

Petrovsky says that the results, which are not peer-reviewed, suggest “a remarkable coincidence or a sign of human intervention.”

The authors of the study, led by vaccine researcher Nikolai Petrovsky of Flinders University in Australia, used a version of the novel coronavirus collected in the earliest days of the outbreak and applied computer models to test its capacity to bind to certain cell receptor enzymes, called “ACE2,” that allow the virus to infect human and animal cells to varying degrees of efficacy.

They tested the propensity of the COVID-19 virus’s spike protein, which it uses to enter cells, to bind to the human type of ACE2 as well as to many different animal versions of ACE2, and found that the novel coronavirus most powerfully binds with human ACE2, and with variously lesser degrees of effectiveness with animal versions of the receptor.

According to the study’s authors, this implies that the virus that causes COVID-19 did not come from an animal intermediary, but became specialized for human cell penetration by living previously in human cells, quite possibly in a laboratory. –LifeSiteNews

Typically, “a virus would be expected to have highest affinity for the receptor in its original host species, e.g. bat, with a lower initial binding affinity for the receptor of any new host, e.g. humans. However, in this case, the affinity of SARS-CoV-2 is higher for humans than for the putative original host species, bats, or for any potential intermediary host species,” wrote the authors.

Do You Know Bastiat?

Frédéric Bastiat | Libertarianism.org

“When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men in a society, over the course of time they create for themselves a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it.”

“Everyone wants to live at the expense of the state. They forget that the state lives at the expense of everyone.”

Now, legal plunder can be committed in an infinite number of ways. Thus we have an infinite number of plans for organizing it: tariffs, protection, benefits, subsidies, encouragements, progressive taxation, public schools, guaranteed jobs, guaranteed profits, minimum wages, a right to relief, a right to the tools of labor, free credit, and so on, and so on.”

“The politician attempts to remedy the evil by increasing the very thing that caused the evil in the first place: legal plunder.”

Federal judge allows NC churches to meet inside

After filing a lawsuit against Governor Cooper’s order allowing gatherings of only 10 people or less, church leaders won a temporary restraining order, allowing them to meet in larger numbers for worship for at least 14 days.

The ruling was issued Saturday by US District Court Judge James C. Dever III. He wrote, in part:

“There is no pandemic exception to the Constitution of the United States or the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment. Plaintiffs have demonstrated that they are likely to succeed on the merits of their Free Exercise claim concerning the assembly for religious worship provisions in Executive Order 138, that they will suffer irreparable harm absent a temporary restraining order, that the equities tip in their favor, and that a temporary restraining order is in the public interest. Thus, having considered the entire record and governing law, the court grants plaintiffs’ motion for a temporary restraining order.

“No constitutional right-including the right of free exercise of religion-is absolute. … Individual liberties, “under the pressure of great dangers,” may be reasonably restricted “as the safety of the general public may demand.
