Pope Francis told Christian high school students this weekend they should respect people of other faiths and not attempt to convert them to Christianity, insisting “we are not living in the times of the crusades.”
Asked by one of the students Friday how a Christian should treat people of other faiths or no faith, the pope said that “we are all the same, all children of God” and that true disciples of Jesus do not proselytize.
…
The pope went on to say that a Christian should never try to convince others of the truth of Christianity, but should simply give a testimony of consistency and wait for others to ask about the faith.
Former FBI Director Andrew McCabe – whose Crossfire Hurricaneteam illegally surveilled former Trump campaign advisor Carter Page – said the Department of Justice is withholding evidence related to his lawsuit, according to a late filing submitted to the court Monday night.
The filing, signed by McCabe’s attorney Murad Hussain, stated that “to date plaintiff has had no opportunity to take discovery…Plaintiff has not and cannot learn of all the relevant facts and present them in an admissible form without discovery.”
McCabe was ousted by the Department of Justice for lack of candor in March, 2018. McCabe was caught repeatedly lying to DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s team and leaking information to the media. Then Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a statement that “McCabe had made an unauthorized disclosure to the news media and lacked candor — including under oath — on multiple occasions.”
Wake County will close its firearms training center to the public in January.
The Wake County Sheriff’s Office ended its contract with Range Safety Management (RSM) LLC’s because of the company’s “lack of profitability and a review that fees and funds collected by RSM were not accounted for accurately,” according to a Sheriff’s Office news release Wednesday.
“To the responsible gun owners who use the facility, I understand your concern,” Sheriff Gerald Baker said. “This decision was not made in haste. We will continue to review how to use this training center that works in the best interest of all citizens, while saving taxpayer money. Unfortunately, the current agreement only met the needs of a few.”
…
Wake County did have concerns about how money was handled at the firing range, but none was ever missing, Stough said. The firing range doesn’t have an office, and the money for classes is collected from an off-site post office box and processed at RSM’s office, also off-site.
“We understand they had some concerns and talked to us about it, but they did a full accounting every month,” he said. “There was never a nickel missing when it was supposed to be there.”
Have you ever thought about what you actually believe? Do you believe in equal justice? Do you believe in the Constitution and the Republic’s founding principles? Do you believe in your fellow man? Do you believe in God?
These are the kinds of questions that we should be asking ourselves and within our community. A belief in a political party guided by propaganda served by the media as your motivation is a false paradigm. Especially since the overwhelming majority of elected “rulers” have no intention of representing you or your beliefs.
At this time of the year, I ask that you aspire to become a better Christian and reflect on how your individual actions will may a difference in your children’s future.
Nancy Pelosi’s new strategy might be to withhold sending the articles of impeachment to the Senate until they continue investigating possible new impeachable offensives. It does not really matter: the public has made up their minds concerning this Presidency. While this strategy will continue to keep impeachment in the news cycle (and in the House of Representatives), President Trump’s poll numbers and Republican Party campaign contributions continue to rise.
Let us pray that the Christmas recess will allow the party of the Deep State to listen to their constituents. Let us pray that everyone’s hope for a peaceful resolution to this coup is still a viable option. I believe the ball is in Attorney General Barr’s court.
In a Monday court filing reported by Politico, House Counsel Douglas Letter argued that they still need testimony from former White House counsel Don McGahn, which may uncover new, impeachable evidence that Trump attempted to obstruct the Russiagate investigation (of a crime he didn’t commit).
“If McGahn’s testimony produces new evidence supporting the conclusion that President Trump committed impeachable offenses that are not covered by the Articles approved by the House, the Committee will proceed accordingly — including, if necessary, by considering whether to recommend new articles of impeachment,” reads Letter’s filing.
Male piglets sue in German court to stop their castration by hog farmers. To be more specific, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) goes to court on behalf of the piglets. Farmers castrate most young boars because if they don’t the meat will suffer from “boar taint.” But this episode of Right Angle is more about law than bacon.
Well we have had a few days now to chew on the impeachment fiasco.
I watched Meet the Press yesterday for as long as I could stomach it. It is amazing how hard it is for those in the media to hide their joy over their accomplishment of “Impeaching” the President.
I want everyone reading this to understand one thing. This is not about President Trump. This is about us. This is about the 63 million or so people that voted for him. They hate us. They hate that we didn’t listen to them and vote how they told us to. They hate everything we stand for. They hate our guns. They hate our religion. They hate our values. They hate that we won’t let them rule us. They hate that we value freedom. They HATE.
The Deep State/Communist/Democrats/Media are in total shock that they have “Impeached” the President and we could seem to care less. It was just another day in this ongoing coup. And We the People just shrugged and said so what. They’ve been telling us now for 3 years that they were going to do this, and they did. Hurray for you. But now they have to live with it. Actions have consequences. You ever done something, even though many people advised you against it, but you just had to do it. After you do it you get that little sick feeling in your stomach like, uh oh what did I do? It’s called learning the hard way. These fools are about to learn the hard way. If they remove Trump and nullify our vote, proving that voting is useless, well it’ll be simply time to shoot the bastards.
I don’t care if you like Trump or not. I’m not that big a fan of him myself. Hell he just signed another spending bill that includes funding Sanctuary Cities among other crap. Yeah the military gets a raise, but they continue to rape us and raise our debt. What these people have done by pulling this stunt in their coup attempt, has insured that Trump will now win by a landslide. Many people who were sitting on the fence, will now go vote for Trump come hell or high water. What happens then? The meltdowns of 2016 are going to pale in comparison. They haven’t accepted our vote from 2016, they sure as hell aren’t going to accept it in 2020.
We face many problems. Criminals are walking free for things you and I would’ve been hanged for. This utter destruction of our Rule of Law is a serious issue. Seems nobody is going to care until it’s too late.
Virginia is a powder keg waiting to explode. Bloomberg has told his cronies to make his gun grabbing stand there, and it’s not going well for him so far. Now they have delivered the ultimatum in Virginia, oh you will obey our laws or else. I can tell you this, threats aren’t taken to kindly in the rural parts of Virginia.
We are being attacked folks. Plain and simple. There are those who are still of the opinion that we can vote our way out of this mess. Keep living that dream if you like. I can assure you, those of us who have studied history know what comes next.
