Difficult Decision

The Post yesterday, What Happens, generated a conversation with a friend.
Why should we vote for Trump? That was his question.
My answer was I’m not sure that we should.
While Trump has done some good he has done some bad also.
He hasn’t been as great a friend to the 2nd Amendment as he proclaims to be.
He hasn’t built the wall. He hasn’t stopped illegal immigration. He hasn’t reduced the deficit.
I think most of us know what is coming. The question is does it happen in 461 days or does it happen in 2024?
I’d prefer sooner rather than later. Trump bought us breathing room. I think that time is about over.
It resorts back to that old saying from Thomas Paine, “I prefer peace. But if Trouble must come, let it come in my time, so that my children can live in peace.”

We have a difficult decision to make. I for one am done voting for lesser of two evils.
As of right now I don’t know if I could go vote for Trump again. My friend that I was having the conversation with is definitely not voting for Trump and is actually contemplating voting for the Democrat. In hopes of bringing on what seems to be inevitable. I could never bring myself to do that but I do understand his reasoning.

As for now I’ll keep preparing.

What Happens?

The Mueller investigation was all about removing Trump from office, which has been cheered on by CNN, MSNBC, New York Times, and The Washington Post among many others. They were intent on overturning the results of a Democratic election to ensure there is no longer a government of the people for the people. They see Trump and the deplorables as intolerable. So we all know what the objective here really was – Mueller was to overthrow the presidency. Yet, history may one day write that this is the very man who created the Second American Civil War.
Mueller was hell-bent on charging Trump to get him out of office. The bureaucracy then would take back the government and suppress the people, grinding us into the dirt. What they have overlooked is that the resentment from both sides is turning into sheer unbridled hatred and this is the foundation needed for a Civil War.
The hatred that is brewing is really out of control. Antifa is openly violent without any repercussions. This is showing there is no longer any civility left. Also the Hollywood industry is simply out of control. Kathy Griffin thought it was funny to show a bloody severed head of the president on TV. There is ZERO respect for the office of the presidency.
The left is historically always the violent side. The right argues to be left alone. The left cannot sleep at night because they worry the right is not submitting to their control.
What happens when Trump is re-elected? What will these leftist do?
What happens if we take back the house? What will these leftist do?
What happens if a Democrat wins the presidency?
We have 462 days until the next election.
Will either side accept the results?
What happens when nothing continue’s to happen?
Our national debt is currently at 22.5 trillion$, our border is not secure, our rights are still under assault.
Time is short. I hope you are prepared.

Any Questions About Why I Moved to Murphy?

Update:
On Monday, the gun store appeared to be doubling down on its message, posting it was going to offer “4 Horsemen” bumper stickers next week “due to overwhelming demand.” The stickers will be available to people who come to the shop and say they’re voting for Trump in 2020, the store said. “Snowflakes and Liberals are not eligible,” said the post.
When contacted by McClatchy newsgroup about the online debate over the billboard, a shop employee at Cherokee Guns said they had received a few calls “from people trying to tell us what’s what.” He said the owner had left them cue cards should any “threatening liberals” come through the door.
‘Idiots’: NC gun shop billboard mocks AOC and three other liberal congresswomen
A small town gun shop in western North Carolina has drawn the ire of liberals and gun control advocates alike after it promoted a billboard featuring Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and three other liberal congresswomen with the slogan: “The 4 Horsemen are Idiots.”
The sign, which advertises Cherokee Guns in Murphy, started getting attention on Sunday, when the store posted a photo on Facebook saying only “Share.” Murphy is about 240 miles west of Charlotte, in Cherokee County.

The Unraveling: Where Are The HANDCUFFS?

At what point do you cross the line from ordinary criminal activity to an attempted overthrow of a duly-elected government? Does that line get crossed when, before an election, you try to rig it from the inside or does it get crossed when you then attempt to gin up a phony “impeachment” story based on political hacksterism and prosecutorial misconduct that, by any reasonable standard, in some cases amount to felonies (e.g. perjury)?
What if the person who is at the pinnacle of all of this isn’t a candidate but rather was a current office-holder who was term-limited out and did this rather than just flat-out refuse to leave?
The entire “Russia, Russia Russia!” thing has always smelled like dead fish.
Who wrote the Mueller report? It wasn’t Mueller. That was painfully obvious watching him “testify” before Congress; he didn’t know where the facts he allegedly put in the report were found within its pages! If you allegedly wrote a thesis in a college course and “defended” it as well as he did in front of those committees you’d be tossed out of on your ear as it would be obvious you paid someone to write it for you!
So who are the someones? And who really ran this “investigation”? Never mind Mueller stating, under oath, that he was “not familiar” with Fusion GPS!
What we have is a rapidly growing body of evidence that both the CIA and FBI — that is, both our federal police and intelligence services — attempted to queer a Presidential Election and when that didn’t work and Trump won anyway they tried to foment a coup to remove him from office.
This needs to be run to the ground and exposed all the way up and down the line. If it’s a handful of people inside these agencies who were responsible for this and it was not a decapitation strike aimed at the Republican Party, orchestrated throughout these agencies and in fact reaching all the way to the White House, then everyone involved need to be in prison, right now, and everyone associated with them asset-stripped to their literal underwear.
Unfortunately the preponderance of the evidence is rapidly piling up on the other side — this was not a handful of partisans in various agencies but instead was a coordinated, agency-wide attempt to prevent the lawful election of a President they did not like and when it happened anyway their actions continued in the form of felonies so serious that they in fact have destroyed the legitimacy of government itself. Worse, they’re now trying to cover it up and gain immunity for their criminal acts.
If this turns out to be what it appears to be we just had a modern rehash of Lexington and Concord, April 19th of 1775 and the world now awaits our judgment as a body politic. Will we acquiesce to our new status as A Banana Republic with nuclear weapons or will the people of this nation draft a second document that begins with those seven immortal words: When In The Course of Human Events.

Question?

I spent the last seven days pretty much unplugged on vacation with my family.
I checked email a couple times. Barely watched any TV. Just enjoyed my family.
So after a week of being gone I come back home and Surprise – the world is still going to shit.
I missed the Mueller hearing, apparently I didnt miss much.
What will the Democrats do now? Do they stick with Putin paranoia? Do they pivot to talking about their party’s platform? “Hey America, let’s invite the entire world in and you get to pay for their stuff. And also for everyone else’s college. And you also get to repay the debt you don’t owe to people who weren’t slaves. And we’re banning SUVs and BBQs because of the weather in 2119. Vote Democrat!” This is not a viable policy program, except in the freakshow hothouse of some pinko-filled town hall conducted by the Socialist Squaw, Spartacus or Beto. More…
I also had a birthday while on vacation. My loving wife got me a gift certificate to my local gun store.
Which brings me to my question? How many guns do you really need?
I know I’d like more, but do I really need more?
Another gun? More Ammo? Accessories?
What to do?
Anyway its good to be home and I look forward to your comments.
Wes

Ma Bell Part 2

In February, my mom passed. For about 2 months things were just …. it was a blur of emotion and pain. It took us a good while after her funeral to get all of her belongings gone through and we allowed relatives and friends to come and take home things from her home that they could use or wanted to remember her by. We grieved and we cleaned. I honestly was mostly functioning on auto-pilot and put myself to hard work in my business when not working at mom’s to drown the hurt.
Slowly I began to function again and after a while I went back to the project. One of the things I wanted was to coat the rail and receivers in Norrell’s Moly Resin. I am familiar with it and have used it several times. It is a phenolic resin and is tough as nails yet easy to work with. Cured in your oven at 300* for 1 hour it is virtually impervious to most any chemical and very durable to rough use.
I decided not to match the Magpul FDE but to go with Coyote Brown for a 2 tone effect like a rifle I saw online seen below.

This would require the stainless barrel to be coated as well in satin black. I ordered the Norrell’s and went about collecting some other bits and pieces. I knew a great trigger was a necessity so the choice of brand was easy. Every AR I own has a single stage CMC flat trigger and I love them all. My AR pistols have 4.5lb, my 16” carbines have 3.5lb and this rifle ended up with a 2.5lb.
I found some SR25 Pmags on sale in the 20 round flavor and bought a few.
I disassembled the rifle down to bare components in preparation for the coating process. I degreased it with Purple Power and blew it dry with compressed air.

I got my airbrush ready and heated the parts. Norrell’s flash drys on hot parts and it is important to preheat everything as you coat it. A heat gun is helpful. Once the receivers and rail were sprayed, into the oven they went to be cured.
Fresh out of the oven, looking awesome.

An online acquaintance from another state offered the use of his face lapping tool and sent it to me. The purpose is to face the area where the barrel extension meets the receiver to assure that they are precisely aligned. You simply use the tool with lapping compound until a uniform shiny ring is visible.

It was also suggested that .001 stainless shim stock be used to assure a tight barrel to receiver fit so I purchased some 1” wide .001 stock. To install I simply heated the upper with a heat gun and slid the barrel and shim stock (which was cut to wrap all the way around the barrel extension) into the upper. Once cooled it was unmovable by hand.
I finished putting the lower together with the CMC trigger, H3 buffer and Tubbs Flatwire spring. I installed and tightened the barrel nut to spec and then reinstalled the gas block and gas tube, then the rail.

I lubed it up well, cycled the bolt and after a few cycles it was smooth as butter.
I had previously bought a Magpul bipod for my Kidd 22 and really like it, so I bought a Mlok version for this rifle and got that installed along with a KAW Valley linear compensator to keep blast at my ears to a minimum since the recoil control of a true brake isn’t needed with this cartridge.
I initially used a polymer Strike Industries dust cover but have since removed it in favor of the factory style steel cover. Nothing against it, just decided that I prefer the look of the normal cover. I also removed the crush washer from behind the KAW Valley linear compensator that you see in the pictures below and so far it has held perfectly and looks cleaner.
Looking like a real rifle! At this point Ma Bell was ready for a 20MOA canted scope mount and some glass.

Part 3 coming soon.
