Our Rulers’ ChiCainery, by Robert Gore

John McCain is buried, may his philosophy soon follow.

Now they lay his body down
Sad old men who run this town

“Kings,” Steely Dan (Walter Becker and Donald Fagen), 1972

Novelists can align their stories with whatever deeper truth they’re trying to convey. Real life is seldom so neat, but the death of John McCain can neither be separated from nor understood without appreciating its symbolic elements. The mourning functionaries and hagiographic media that laid McCain to rest symbolically buried, without realizing it, the philosophy he so epitomized. Send not to know for whom the bell tolled, it tolled for what they so fervently believe.

John McCain venerated the state, of which he was a product. His grandfather and father were admirals in the navy. He was a graduate of the Naval Academy and spent his entire career working for the government. His philosophy was consistent: there are no constraints on the state. As was his ambition: the accretion of state and personal power. Championing government both at home and abroad, he achieved bipartisan splendor.

The Argument Over the Greatness of America

NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo says America “was never that great”. A typical Deep State response to divide and conquer the country. Is America great? Not after the Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama reign of destruction. Was America great? Ask the world’s greatest heroes returning from WWII. Meghan McCain’s attack on the President is not based in fact and is a petty attempt to raise up her father’s image. As I wrote earlier, this is a tactic used by the Deep State to destroy our country. But my opinion does not matter. The people who voted Donald Trump for President felt that its greatness could be restored. And he has done an incredible job in a very short time frame.

As 48% of the country support the President’s plan to make America great again, I suggest you keep track of the people who do not want to restore our country’s image, power and economy. The Deep State took root after Ronald Reagan. It is a testimony to the Constitution that we did not collapse after Obamanation. Taxing a nation’s people to increase political power only leads to one end: tyranny.

Domestic Hero or Enemy?

Image result for mccain hero or villainJohn McCain’s death has elevated him to heights unparalleled in life by the main street media and Democrats. His funeral was used as a means to attack the President. His new best friends, Barack Obama, Joe Biden and George Bush, all gave eulogies to honor his service to the country.

We live in a country that is divided into two camps. It is obvious to me which side John McCain was on. A man who cast the deciding vote to keep Obamacare which is destroying the middle class. A man whose arrogance would not let him perform his duties as a senator since December 7, 2017 but would not resign his perceived “power”. A man who will be remembered at the chief warmonger in the Congress. I will not discuss the consequences of his “wet start” on the USS Forrestal or his undocumented collaboration with North Vietnam: these two incidents will never be proven. I do remember the unrelenting attacks on Newt Gingrich for having an affair while still married. John McCain received a pass for the same transgression.

I am not trying to sway your opinion about McCain. I am trying show which side he was on. I also want you to see who is supporting the President and who is supporting the Deep State. Think beyond political parties.

Security clearances

The President shall select a single department, agency, or element of the executive branch to be responsible for directing day-to-day investigations and adjudications for personnel security clearances, including for highly sensitive programs, throughout the United States Government. 50 USC 3341 (b) (1).

The Director of National Intelligence is the sole authority to determine “the need to know” as it pertains to classified material and shall establish a list of those individuals entitled to access to a particular program. 50 USC 3232 (b).

A “reinvestigation” is required to update a previous investigation at prescribed intervals: every 5 years in the case of a top secret clearance or access to a highly sensitive program; every 10 years in the case of a secret clearance; or every 15 years in the case of a Confidential Clearance. 50 USC 3341 (7) (A) (B) (C).

The logic for wanting to retain a security clearance after leaving a government position is intuitive; it allows a person to immediately be able to be validated by the Director of National Intelligence office to access classified information, thereby allowing the hiring agency to forego the expense and time interval to complete a “reinvestigation.” The bottom line is a valid security clearance makes the former government employee more desirable as they pass-thru the “revolving door” into the lobbying or government contract arena.
The number of people who came out of the woodwork to protest the rescinding of John Brennan’s clearance are concerned about the possibility of a general rescinding of security clearances of those no longer employed by the federal government. Like most things, it is about money.
As pertains to John Brennan, the following is a partial list of his known lies.
1. In 2009, Brennan falsely claimed that intelligence agencies had not missed evidence suggesting that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, a.k.a. the “underwear bomber,” might blow up a U.S. airliner; they had.
2. In 2011, his official statements about the Osama bin Laden raid were at variance with the facts; in other words, he lied.
3. In 2011, Brennan, then the country’s chief counterterrorism adviser, had told Congress in sworn testimony that scores of drone strikes abroad had not killed a single noncombatant — at a time when both the president and the CIA were both receiving numerous reports of civilian collateral deaths.
4. In 2014, John Brennan, then the CIA director, lied emphatically that the CIA had not illegally accessed the computers of U.S. Senate staffers who were then exploring a CIA role in torturing detainees. He later apologized to the Senators for deceiving them.
5. Brennan, in May 2017, as an ex-CIA director, again lied when he didn’t tell the truth to Congress when he testified in answer to Representative Trey Gowdy’s questions that he neither knew who had commissioned the Steele dossier nor had the CIA relied on its contents for any action.

John Brennan is the poster boy for a group of elite but unelected federal officials who feel that they are untouchable and unaccountable. And, based on history, they are certainly immune to examination or prosecution by our selective service judicial system.

Of all the characters hovering around in the Washington, D.C., cess pool, Brennan floats to the top. He is certainly not the only Washington, D.C., hack whose security clearance should be withdrawn, but he would certainly be my first choice.

The sheer volume of the leaking of sensitive government information, the numerous FBI and DOJ officials who have been reassigned, resigned, fired, or retired should force any thinking individual to conclude that there is a systemic rottenness at the top echelons in elements of our government. Many of these self-serving individuals should no doubt be in federal prison; taking their security clearances is merely a start in the right direction.

What if???

As Mueller and the Deep State continue to pry deeper and deeper into the personal life of Donald Trump and look for any possible way to impeach him, serious questions must be asked.

Wilderness Medicine

Wilderness Medicine
Emergency Management in the High-Risk Low-Resource Environment

September 21-23, 2018
Murphy, NC

By definition, “Wilderness Medicine” is based on the concepts of emergency medical help when separated from definitive care by distance, time, or other circumstances. That situation could easily be the backcountry, another snowpocalypse, civil unrest, or an active shooter incident; all situations in which medical help may not be readily available.

Wilderness Medicine is training in emergency first aid for people who aren’t professionals and forms the basis of our tactical medic program. The training consists of an informal meet and greet on Friday evening followed by two days of lecture, discussion, hands-on, and scenario-based skills practice.

Our goal is to provide you with an assessment process that is simple, easy to understand, and one that does not require you to purchase everything from an ER catalog. Rather, the class provides you with a roadmap to address life-threatening injuries in the proper order and one that ensures the best possible outcome for both yourself and your patient.

All courses are taught by professional educators and experienced medical providers who will work to make sure that you leave class with the information and skills needed to react with confidence. Learn to respond to medical emergencies, treat injuries and illnesses, and improvise solutions in a high-risk low-resource environment.

The cost of the course is $250. Advanced, full-payment is required to reserve a seat in class. Due to limited class enrollment, payment is non-refundable and rescheduling will be allowed for the next available class only if space is available. Cancellation on the day of the class is considered a “no show.”
