PUTIN’S ENERGY EMBARGO AGAINST EUROPE WILL LEAD TO WW III BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR

russian war games

by Dave Hodges

Yesterday, I reported that Putin has been aligning his new military allies in India, Brazil, Bolivia, El Salvador, Cuba, Bolivia, Ecuador, Nicaragua, China, and even in South Africa in attempt to force the U.S. to prepare for a Red Dawn scenario here at home in the event that hostilities break out. This was Putin’s version of “Plan B” as he obviously was anticipating the loss of control over Ukraine.

After the pro-Western forces prevailed in Ukraine’s recent election, Putin wasted no time in putting an approximate 60% embargo of Russian oil and gas shipments into Europe, via Ukraine. An embargo, much like a blockade is an act of war. And war is largely where this present situation is headed.

Gas prices are quickly rising in London. Britain’s energy prices have already soared 18% as of this morning with the announcement that Putin is placing an embargo of energy Russian energy shipments into Europe. It is estimated that Europe gets anywhere from 25% to 33% of its energy needs from Russian sources, much of it via Ukraine.

Five people in Indiana being monitored for Ebola symptoms, state health officials say

State health officials are monitoring five people in Indiana for Ebola symptoms in accordance with guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

All are considered low risk. Indiana was one of the first states to begin “direct active monitoring” of returning travelers. Gov. Mike Pence and the Indiana State Department of Health implemented the policy on Oct. 16.

Monitoring includes twice-daily temperature and symptom checks by local health agencies. The state health department then records the results.

Two patients have completed the monitoring protocol while five others are currently under observation. They’re cooperating with the protocol, which lasts 21 days. State health officials aren’t releasing the names of the counties where travelers are being monitored in accordance with privacy laws.

Who’s ‘Chickensh*t’? The Goldberg Variation

View image on Twitter

In an already much talked about article for The Atlantic, “The Crisis in U. S. – Israeli Relations is Officially Here,” Jeffrey Goldberg quotes a senior administration official accusing  Benjamin Netanyahu – among a long list of unpleasant things — of being a “chickensh*t.”

Never mind for a moment the absurdity of an (of course anonymous) Obama official calling the Israeli PM a coward when Netanyahu has been personally under fire in two wars, volunteering for the second after having been wounded by a gun shot in the first (his brother, as many will remember, was killed during the raid on Entebbe — both Netanyahus were in Sayeret Matkal) at approximately the time the official’s boss Barry was lulling on a balmy Hawaiian beach smoking “choom” with his gang. What’s the right word for this?  Hypocrisy is a bit weak, isn’t it?  Or is it simply the desperate rumblings of a failed administration?

Not A Typical Democrat Resume Enhancement

What is it with political hacks from Arkansas and Illinois? The details of the candidate for Lt. Governor of Arkansas stint as a male stripper are shown below. I am sure that Bill Clinton is seething over this “resume enhancement” by a fellow Democrat. I do not believe either party represents the Constitution, morality or Sacred honor. Which leaves any moral man or woman in a difficult position.

Democrat Running for Lt. Governor of Arkansas Used to be a Stripper

Arkansas Democrat John Burkhalter / AP

Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor in Arkansas John Burkhalter said being a male stripper in Little Rock was one of the many “tough jobs” he had in his past.

“I did have that job for a while, a very short time,” Burkhalter told Larry Henry in an interview for 5NEWS, a CBS affiliate in Arkansas. He was asked about being portrayed as a candidate with a “different background, from Chippendales dancer to multi-millionaire.”

“It was when I was in Little Rock,” Burkhalter said. “I’ve always been an athlete, and I was actually buying cows from a farm.”

“I had like 17 acres in a little place called Billy Goat Hill, which is in North Pulaski County, and I was trying to make my way in life,” he said.

On a message board entitled “Old Chippendales,” a user going by the name “very married,” recalled Burkhalter’s stripper days.

“John was once a major body builder and moonlighted as a male stripper in so called straight strip joints in a low-end southern Chippendale style circuit,” the message said. “He wore white tuxes with tails and handed out long stem roses to ladies, then took everything off.”

Hagan Contractor Applications Raise Questions

U.S. Sen. Kay Hagan’s husband Charles “Chip” Hagan, a Greensboro attorney, certified to the North Carolina licensing board for electrical contractors that their son Tilden Hagan worked 3,500 hours installing electrical wiring and equipment over a period of 324 days in 2012 — requiring Tilden to work consecutive 76-hour weeks over that period.

Carolina Journal calculated the hours by comparing claims the Hagans made on applications Tilden Hagan filed for North Carolina contracting licenses in the “limited” and “unlimited” categories. On both applications, only one person attested to Tilden’s experience as an electrical installer: Chip Hagan, Tilden’s father. On the application for an unlimited license, a second person attested to Tilden’s experience: William Stewart, Tilden’s brother-in-law.

The executive director of the state board that issues electrical contracting licenses told CJ the board is obliged to investigate credible information challenging any license application, though he would not comment specifically on the Hagan applications.

Holding an unlimited license affords Tilden the ability to manage projects of a greater scope and monetary value than he could perform with a limited license. The experience requirements for an unlimited license are greater, but the licensing board allows applicants to use personal recommendations from people claiming to be supervisors without requiring any documentation to back up those claims.

Satellite images of a North Korean submarine facility show what appears to be a missile tube being developed for a future ballistic missile submarine.

The commercial imagery was disclosed Tuesday in an article published Tuesday by the group 38 North.

The photos show was appears to be a test stand for a submarine-launched ballistic missile.

“A review of commercial satellite imagery since 2010 covering submarine bases and submarine shipyards has identified a new test stand at the North’s Sinpo South Shipyard, probably intended to explore the possibility of launching ballistic missiles from submarines or of a shipboard vertical launch ballistic missile capability,” wrote Joseph S. Bermudez Jr., a North Korea expert with AllSource Analysis, Inc.

Dems need ground game to save Kay Hagan

Sen. Kay Hagan (D-N.C.) is bringing out the big guns to rally the Democratic base to the polls, part of her get-out-the-vote effort that is rapidly becoming a necessity with one week until Election Day.

Hagan is zeroing in on turning out women and blacks as recent polls indicate her small lead has evaporated. Her team is emphasizing early voting at every campaign stop while tapping her party’s top names to help rally the party faithful.

A ground game edge for Hagan looked like icing on the cake a few weeks ago. But North Carolina Speaker Thom Tillis (R) has run a more disciplined campaign as of late, drilling Hagan on national security and capitalizing on some recent Hagan missteps while his allies have helped close what had been a big Democratic edge in TV advertising. Republicans believe he’s erased whatever lead Hagan once held.

“I definitely sense a momentum shift,” Rep. Richard Hudson (R-N.C.) told The Hill after introducing Tillis at Wingate University last week. “For a while there … this race just wasn’t moving because of all these negative ads on both sides. But I really sense a difference in the last two weeks, a shift in our direction.”

Sears, Kmart Black Friday deals replaced with going out of business sales

Sears Kmart closing before Christmas

Sears and Kmart may be replacing their traditional Black Friday sales with deals that offer holiday shoppers an even bigger discount. With a total of 77 Sears and Kmart stores across the country scheduled to close before Christmas, it looks like consumers will be finding “going out of business” specials instead of post-Thanksgiving doorbuster deals.

Despite the fact that Black Friday is a big money-maker for most retailers, CNN reports that the long-term prognosis for both Sears and Kmart doesn’t look good. Allan Ellinger of MMG Advisors, an investment bank that specializes in fashion and retailing, tells CNN that the pre-holiday closing is a sign that the two retail stores may not be around “long-term.”
