French police discover an “arsenal of war” on a bus headed for London

A Eurolines bus left Amsterdam bound for London via Calais on Tuesday when border police searched baggage and found three loaded automatic pistols, three Smith & Wesson revolvers and a semi-automatic Luger, as well as two Italian-made firearms, a Czech-made firearm, a silencer and almost 500 rounds of 9mm ammunition.

Israeli Air Force takes out 40 mosques-cum-rocket stores

A mosque in Gaza after Israeli bombardmentThe Israeli Air Force bombed 40 mosques in Gaza Tuesday night, July 30, in the most extensive operation against Hamas’ religious institutions-cum-military bases so far. In total, at least 50 mosques have been blown up along with their stockpiles of rockets and arms caches.

These concentrated air strikes on rocket arsenals are as integral to Operation Protective Edge as the ground work in destroying tunnels. They have been stepped up in advance of the preparations launched by the government on Wednesday for the possible termination of the IDF ground operation in the Gaza Strip and the withdrawal of troops.

DEBKAfile‘s sources say that the order to end the ground operation in Gaza would not mean that the war is over. There are no illusions about the Palestinian extremist groups laying down their arms. In practical terms, therefore, Israeli troops will regroup and spread out along the border as a barrier against future Hamas attempts to keep up its terror offensive by means of cross-border commando raids using undiscovered tunnels and firing rockets and mortars into Israel.

The media and world “leaders” will put their spin on this story. But as Muslims and Israel know, appeasement does not win wars.

An Alternative Method to Charge Your DTR

from Nightwatcher:

I found a way to charge the Motorola DTR radios from a 12V backup power system. It requires two parts, a 12V to 5V USB power converter and a USB charging cable for an older model of NexTel phone (both from Amazon):

Car Charger PowerBear [24W/4.8A] Dual USB Port Car Charger

Classic Straight USB Cable for the Nextel i860

http://www.amazon.com/Classic-Straight-Nextel-Charge-Capabilities/dp/B000JKJ3WM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1406806079&sr=8-3&keywords=Classic+Straight+USB+Cable+for+the+Nextel+i860

I cut the cigarette lighter plug off and installed PowerPoles. The cable will plug into the charging base included with the radio, but doesn’t seem to intiate the charging cycle. It works fine plugging it directly into the radio though. If you already have the Gomadic cable, all you need is their Tip #14.

I would suggest buying tips for all your USB powered devices (cell phones, tablets, etc.) and be prepared for when the “lights go out”.

Futures Tumble On Espirito Santo Loss, European Deflation, Argentina Default

It has been a deja vu session of that day nearly a month ago when the Banco Espirito Santo (BES) problems were first revealed, sending European stocks and US futures, however briefly, plunging. Since then things have only gotten worse for the insolvent Portuguese megabank, and overnight BES, all three of its holdco now bankrupt, reported an epic loss despite which it will not get a bailout but instead must raise capital on its own. The result has been a record drop in both the bonds (down some 20 points earlier) and the stock (despite a shorting ban instituted last night), which crashed as much as 40% before stabilizing at new all time lows around €0.25, in the process wiping out recent investments by such “smart money” as Baupost, Goldman and DE Shaw. The result is a European financial sector that is struggling in the red, while adding to its pain are some large cap names such as Adidas which also tumbled after issuing a profit warning relating to “developments” in Russia. Then there was European inflation which printed at 0.4%, below the expected 0.5%, and the lowest in pretty much ever, and certainly since the ECB commenced its latest fight with “deflation”, which so far is not going well. The European cherry on top was Greece, whose dead cat bounce is now over, after May retail sales crashed 8.5%, after rising 3.8% in April.

Oh, as for now bankrupt Argentina, don’t cry for it. Something tells us the brand new BRICS bank will be quick to reach out a helping hand to the insolvent country, unless of course the country purchases the holdout bonds behind the scenes and puts the whole affair to bed (although how that will anger the restructured bondholders, or if it will trigger the RUFO clause is anyone’s guess).

What Will Happen First, An Economic Collapse or Martial Law?

What Will Happen First, An Economic Collapse or Martial Law?

What will happen first? Will we fall under the specter of martial law and all that entails? Or, will we experience an economic collapse prior to martial law?

In the present state of affairs, it is very easy to focus on the invasion of America through our Southern border as the Fifth column insurgents make their way into the country in the form of MS-13 as they prepare to wreak havoc on any opposition to the coming takeover. We are also focused on the presence of unscreened immigrants coming into our country and who are failing to be screened for very serious health conditions such as Ebola. It easy to become fixated on things like the NDAA and unconstitutional, permanent detention.  We are very focused on the shoot down of MH-17 and preparing for war with Russia. However, what we should be focusing on is the economic collapse which has already began.

Before we continue with the analysis of what comes first, let’s interject some common sense into this analysis. The global elite need a horrific war to rid themselves of the old system and usher in the new system. Out of chaos comes order. This will set into motion the depopulation agenda that will accompany this coming martial law and World War III. We know the globalists seek to maximize profits at every turn. Therefore, one should ask themselves the question, “How can they globalists make the most money as they usher in the New World Order? The answer is simple, if they want to realize maximum value for their efforts, they should steal as much money from the American people as possible, before collapsing the economy.

It Was Only a Matter of Time

What are your quarantine procedures? Can you afford to take an extended leave from work? Will you send your children to school? These are questions that we should consider but pray we never have to implement. Is our government preparing to protect us or is our government encouraging the spread of contagious diseases?

We only have to ask “why”. Why would the government open our southern border and actually promote the spread of disease across the country? Once we come to the obvious conclusion, we then have to ask what would men of Sacred honor do?

CDC ISSUES EBOLA AIRLINE ADVISORY

Although the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is on record that Ebola poses little risk to the U.S. population, the agency still published guidance for airline flight crews, cleaning personnel and cargo workers regarding safe handling of infected passengers.

The advisory begins by describing Ebola as “a severe, often-fatal disease” that while rare, can spread from person to person, especially among health-care staff and other people who have close contact with an infected person.

The advisory then notes the likelihood of contracting Ebola is extremely low unless a person has direct contact with the bodily fluids of a person or animal that is infected and showing symptoms.

Trying to dampen fears of travel to West Africa, the location of the current outbreak, the advisory comments that a fever in a person who has traveled or lived in an area where Ebola is present is “likely to be caused by a more common infectious disease, but the person would need to be evaluated by a health care provider to be sure.”

To assist in the identification of Ebola symptoms, the CDC provided the following description of how the infection operates:

Scripps Research Institute Scientists Reveal How Deadly Ebola Virus Assembles

Scientists at The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) have discovered the molecular mechanism by which the deadly Ebola virus assembles, providing potential new drug targets. Surprisingly, the study showed that the same molecule that assembles and releases new viruses also rearranges itself into different shapes, with each shape controlling a different step of the virus’s life cycle.

“Like a ‘Transformer’, this protein of the Ebola virus adopts different shapes for different functions,” said Erica Ollmann Saphire, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Immunology and Microbial Science at TSRI. “It revises a central dogma of molecular biology—that a protein molecule has one shape that predestines one biological function.”

There is no possibility that the Ebola virus is man made. We do not have the technology to design the genes necessary to transform the shape of the virus to accommodate new functionality in different phases of its life style.

So the first question to ask is what will we do when this disease comes here? And then we have to ask why the pResident has opened our southern border to everyone at this time?

‘He Could Have Brought Ebola Here’: Minnesota Widow on Her Husband

Patrick Sawyer was supposed to be at his kids’ birthday party in a few weeks—but he died of the virus before he could board a flight to Minneapolis. His wife on the epidemic’s toll.

Nigeria felt a chill from the hot zone when a 40-year-old man collapsed and died from the dread Ebola virus after flying there from Liberia.

That hot zone chill now reaches America, with word that the same man was scheduled to fly to Minneapolis in time for an August 16 party celebrating the birthdays of two of his three young daughters.

Patrick Sawyer was a naturalized U.S. citizen who worked for the Finance Ministry of his native Liberia and returned home to his wife and children in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, whenever he could. He almost certainly would have boarded that flight to Minneapolis had he remained at least outwardly healthy enough not to exhibit symptoms.

One nightmare scenario would have been for him to go ahead with the birthday party for his daughters even though he was feeling a little flu-ish and maybe dish out cake and ice cream to his little girls before anybody imagined he might be carrying the deadly virus from distant West Africa.

Military Police – Universal Conceal Carry ID

Military Police

Colonel Smith, Sergeant Major Jones do you have your conceal carry permit that Federal law allows you to obtain as a retired military police man?

You don’t, I do not understand, Federal law known as the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) and commonly referred to as HR 218 was enacted in 2004.

This act allows police officers in any state or jurisdiction to carry concealed their personal firearm in any other state or jurisdiction.

I know, the military uses the word apprehend, and the civilian law enforcement community uses the word arrest. This little play on words is what the Department of Defense/DoD had used to deny military police of all branches of the service the ability to carry a personal concealed weapon.

But the Federal law was amended in 2013 to specifically cover any obfuscating that the DoD was doing to prevent you, the active duty or retired military police person from legally carrying a concealed weapon off duty.

There is something both military members and the civilian world needs to understand: the DoD and its branches do not really, deep down in their hearts trust the average Airman, Sailor, Soldier or Marine.

21 Ways To End The Phrase ‘Americans Are So Broke…’

Coins - Public Domain

by Michael Snyder

Did you know that 77 million Americans have unpaid debts that are “in collections” and that Congress is actually thinking about letting post offices offer payday loans?  We live in a country where almost everyone is drowning in debt and where most people are either flat broke or very close to flat broke.  Years ago, “your Mama is so broke” jokes were all the rage, and at the rate we are going they could make a big comeback.  Some of my favorites were “your Mama is so broke she went to McDonald’s and put a milkshake on layaway” and “your Mama is so broke your family ate cereal with a fork to save milk”.  Unfortunately, the facts that I am about to share with you are not funny at all.  In fact, they are quite sobering.  Yes, things are going fairly well for the elitists that live in the good areas of New York City, Washington D.C. and San Francisco right now, but most of the country is deeply struggling as our economic fundamentals continue to crumble.  Please share these numbers with as many people as you can, because we need people to understand that there has not been an “economic recovery” for most of America.  In fact, in many ways things just continue to get even worse.  The following are 21 ways to end the phrase “Americans are so broke”…

1. Americans are so broke that about a third of them have debt collectors on their heels.  One recent study discovered that more than one out of every three adults in the United States has an unpaid debt that is “in collections“.  That is a total of 77 million people.  In other words, the debt collection business in America is absolutely booming.

2. Americans are so broke that Congress is now actually considering allowing post offices to provide payday loans and check cashing services.

3. Americans are so broke that they are keeping their vehicles longer than ever.  The average age of vehicles on America’s roads recently set a new all-time high of 11.4 years.

4. Americans are so broke that car dealers are having to go to extreme lengths to get new customers.  Last year, one out of every four auto loans in the United States was made to someone with subprime credit.

5. Americans are so broke that 52 percent of them cannot even afford the homes that they are living in right now.

Russia Violates Intermediate Nuclear Missile Treaty

by Bill Gertz

Barack Obama, Vladimir Putin / AP

Moscow violated a key strategic nuclear arms accord by developing a ground-launched cruise missile banned under the 1987 agreement, according to the State Department.

“The United States has determined that the Russian federation is in violation of its obligations under the [Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces] Treaty not to possess, produce, or flight-test a ground-launched cruise missile (GLCM) with a range capability of 500 kilometers to 5,500 kilometers, or to possess or produce launchers of such missiles,” the annual arms compliance report made public Tuesday states.

The INF treaty breach, which had been kept secret by the Obama administration since 2010, is a setback for President Barack Obama’s arm-control-focused national security policies.
