The Insane Dream: Hoping and praying for politicians to bring us peace

insanity wars peace

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

– Albert Einstein (attributed)

The insane dream has streamed endlessly through my lifetime. I saw it as a boy, and I see it still. It has never really produced any results, and it certainly shows no promise of doing so in the near future.

In fact, by all historical accounts, the dream is nearly 100% false – the results are opposite to the hopes and prayers of the dream.

And yet, nearly the whole world believes in the dream to one extent or another.

What can be said about such a thing? It never works, but everyone keeps believing in it all the same. And when I say “it never works,” I mean that its failure is clearly demonstrable – in visible, concrete, measurable terms.

What Is It?

Okay, I’m about to tell you what this dream is, but please be aware: Your defenses are about to jump up against it. Slogans are likely to fly into your mind unbidden. You can expect emotional reactions.

Here we go: Continue reading

With A Clear Conscience

christian mercenary

by T.L. Davis

Tom King of the NRA, like members of the GOP, is so busy thinking about elections and politically acceptable positions, he, like them, has sold the entire concept of Constitutional republicanism to the highest bidder, i.e. George Soros. There is nothing more infuriating than when these parasites speak of rights and liberty as motivational appeal points in a speech, but argue against them when it looks like the people might actually adhere to the ideals they invoke at every fundraiser and in every article.

The NRA is comprised of hunters, gun enthusiasts, Second Amendment advocates and police officers. I guess the NRA has caught some flak from their uniformed members about the rhetoric taking place when the issues are real. Now, the NRA wants to soften the rhetoric lest they lose dues paying members. They will lose a lot of dues paying members on all sides if things get out of hand, but the only way it can get out of hand is if police officers take the next fatal step and seek to aggressively enforce the unconstitutional laws passed by their legislatures; the very laws they are sworn to oppose.

Opie & Anthony Slam Obamacare

Strong Language Warning:

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRjbFJiTzak

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Opie & Anthony opine why we are not already revolting against tyranny. Our forefathers would and did. Our grandparents would have revolted under these conditions as they did in Athens, TN. So why are Americans not willing to fight for their Liberty? This is the question on every patriot’s mind. Are we weak or are we being punished by the Lord? We must admit that we have lost our faith and way as a nation. Social justice has replaced religion and morality. It would be easy to point to our clergy for this fundamental shift from the Lord but we also are responsible. As the government is culpable.
Pointing fingers, punching a keyboard or listening to radio show rants will not let us win. We are losing and the clock is ticking. Do you wonder as I do how our country will be transformed in the next ten years? Five years? Do you wonder as I do how we will explain our actions to our children? Will we act honorably or out of fear and ignorance?
GRNC Notice 4-3-14: Anti-gun Activist to Brainwash at UNCC
“Progressive” lawyer Vincent DeMarco to spread Maryland Leftism in NC…
A “Community Organizer” responsible for pushing gun control legislation and tax increases in his home state of Maryland has been booked to talk liberal, anti-gun strategy during a “National Public Health Week” event at UNCC.
The talk entitled, “Transforming Public Will into Political Power” will introduce the “six step template” DeMarco used to bully legislators into passing laws to restrict freedom of Marylanders (not that Maryland anti-gun politicians need much prompting to attack rights).
Of course the goal of the program is to recruit leftist activists to attack the rights of North Carolinians, something that cannot be tolerated. We need to help him understand that Maryland gun control is not welcome in a free state like North Carolina, and attempts to corrupt our students are unacceptable.
DeMarco’s presentation will be made this coming Monday, April 7th at 4 pm, in the UNCC Student Union Theater. Let’s show-up and help him understand freedom, not government, reigns in NC. Continue reading
It’s a Loss in Md: 73K Lose Insurance; 60K Enroll on Exchange
The head of the Maryland Health Insurance Exchange testified Thursday before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee that only 60,000 people have signed up for Obamacare through the state’s exchange – 13,000 less than the number of individuals reported to lose their insurance due to Obamacare.
“According to our reports, according to AP, press accounts, 73,000 individuals in Maryland were going to lose their insurance because of the Affordable Care Act, and what you’re telling me is your revised goal is approximately the same number – 75,000. So your revised goal of people you’re gonna sign up is: We’re gonna sign up the people who were kicked off of the Affordable Care Act,” Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said.
Police Respond to “IED” report near Ft. Hood
(KXAN-TV)   The Killeen Police Department has confirmed that the suspicious device at 8th and Hoover is an IED, which has wires hanging out.
A neighbor spotted the device, telling KXAN’s Chris Sadeghi that he found it on the hood of a truck. The man said it was made from two pipes and looked strange, so he called police.
The Fort Hood bomb squad responded, and a bomb robot could be seen in the middle of the neighborhood street — putting something in a box. The robot wheeled off, leaving a black bucket sitting in the street and a member of the bomb squad apparently wiring it with something.
—–
The “device” turned out to be an inert prop.  The lingering question is why it was deployed in a residential neighborhood, less than 24 hours after a major event?
Was this just a bad prank by ignorant teens, or was it a purposeful act to amplify and extend the tensions of a community which already has cause to feel threatened?  If this was a purposeful act, then the natural line of questioning is, “to what purpose?” and “by whom?”
If your liberty has value to you, then these questions are of first importance, because those who intend to be maters are increasing both the pressure and the tempo of their efforts.
Senate Seeks to Warn Russia Over Looming Invasion of Moldova
Key senators are seeking to warn Russia against invading Moldova, where U.S. intelligence sources believe that Russian President Vladimir Putin is poised to unleash some 1,200 Russian troops in the near future.
A new resolution being circulated by Sen. Jim Inhofe (R., Okla.) among members of the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) demands that Russia remove all of “its military forces and material” from Moldova’s territory, according to a draft copy of the measure obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
Following Moscow’s surprise annexation of Ukraine’s Crimea last month, Senate insiders are being told that Putin now seeks to seize territory in Moldova’s Transnistria region, which is home to a sizable number of ethnic Russians.
Venezuela Enforces Fingerprint Registry to Buy Groceries: What to Do Before Rationing Starts in America
venezuela-food-lines
Amateur photo: Venezuelans line up for miles in an effort to acquire food during hyperinflationary food shortages – March 2014)
Editor’s Note from Mac Slavo: In recent weeks the country of Venezuela has implemented everything from price controls to rationing in an effort to control the hyperinflation that has gripped the nation. All attempts at controlling demand and ‘hoarding’ have thus far failed, prompting government officials to issue directives requiring biometric verification for the purchase of foodstuffs. What’s happening in Venezuela is a clear example of how government first causes the problem, often leading to panic, and then points the blame at everyone but themselves. Officials claim that unscrupulous merchants (who have been forced to sell goods at prices lower than they have acquired them) and the hoarding of food by individuals is to blame for the shortages.
The solution, of course, is more government, and in this case that means registration of fingerprints and other personal data in exchange for permission to purchase food. Be assured that the same plans are in place right here in the USA. In fact, we already have an electronic mechanism of exchange in the form of Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards. Should the worst happen and the US dollar crashes at some point in the future, those who failed to prepare (or, hoard as the government would suggest) are destined to forced registrations at their local post office or other government entity. Daisy Luther of The Organic Prepper explains what’s happening right now in Venezuela, how a similar situation could unfold in the USA, and what you can do to prepare in advance.
