Israel Thinks Robert Menendez Is a Key Senator

Report: Democratic Senator Bob Menendez Implicated in Another Potential Sex Scandal

Report: Democratic Senator Bob Menendez Implicated in Another Potential Sex Scandal

The administration’s policy against Israel in favor of Iran is causing some Democrat politicians to question the pResident’s betrayal of one of our last remaining allies. It is surprising that Israel thinks Robert Menendez is a key senator since he has been plagued by repeated sex scandals.

From Judicial Watch:

In 2012 Judicial Watch put Menendez on its list of Washington’s “Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians.”

But then this politician from New Jersey is the chairman for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Another example of how evil has permeated our “government” in Washington.

Key Senator says Obama push against new Iran sanctions is ‘fear-mongering’

Key Democratic Senator Robert Menendez accused the Obama administration of “fear-mongering” on Wednesday in criticism of the White House’s push to convince Congress not to pass new sanctions on Iran.

Politico quoted Menedez, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman, as saying in an NPR radio interview that he was offended by White House press secretary Jay Carney’s claims that new congressional sanctions would constitute a march to war.

“What I don’t appreciate is when I hear remarks out of the White House spokesman that say … if we’re pursuing sanctions we’re marching the country off to war. I think that’s way over the top, I think that’s fear-mongering,” Politico quoted Menedez as saying.

“We consistently hear about how we have to worry about the hard-liners in Iran. And it seems that the Iranians get to play good cop-bad cop, [Iranian President] Rouhani as the good cop, the hard-liners as the bad cop,” Menendez said, suggesting that hard-line senators could play “bad cop” to Obama’s “good cop.”

Happy Thanksgiving: Do Not Lose Sight on What Is Important

2 Corinthians 4:15-18

All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.  For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

The Fed Must Inflate

by Chris Martenson

The Fed is busy doing everything in its considerable power to get credit (that is, debt) growing again so that we can get back to what it considers to be “normal.”

But the problem is that the recent past was not normal. You may have already seen this next chart. It shows total debt in the U.S. as a percent of GDP:http://media.peakprosperity.com/images/Debt-to-GDP-Hoisington.jpg

5 Reasons I Stopped Taking the News Seriously

news

Back in the early 90s, I felt a need to understand politics far better than I had, and I spent a lot of time and effort on it. Along the way – and partly by accident – I learned a few things that put me off broadcast news ever since.

Here are five of those stories.

#1: When a Decrease is Actually an Increase

At one point during this time, there was a furor raised over the funding of school lunches. So, I looked into it carefully.

After delving into the actual numbers, I was horrified to learn that what I heard from all the big-name news outlets was factually incorrect. Every single one of them got it wrong.

So, I called the newsroom of the biggest and most respected news radio station in Chicago (where I was living.) Amazingly, they put me right through. The conversation went like this:

Me: Listen, I have a problem on this school lunch thing. The numbers you guys are using are wrong.

News writer: What do you mean?

Me: You’re reporting a seven percent cut in school lunch funding, but I checked the real numbers – they are going up three percent. The democrats are saying “seven percent cut,” because they want a ten percent increase. This talk about a cut is false: it’s actually an increase, and you guys have to know that.

News writer: Yeah, well… the democrats gave us stuff to use and the republicans didn’t.

I was horrified, but it was, at least, an honest answer. What shocked me most was the fact that they simply didn’t care. This was the flagship news station in Chicago – the one people went to when they wanted to be sure – and they simply didn’t care about accuracy.

#2: To Make Their Voices Sound Better

NAACP pushes Gov. McCrory to reverse course on Medicaid and unemployment

The so-called “Moral Monday” movement is back.

The NAACP and other protesters made a fresh push Tuesday for Governor Pat McCrory and Republican lawmakers to reverse their decision to block Medicaid expansion and cut unemployment benefits.

Despite the new demands, McCrory is not backing down, but Moral Monday organizers insist they will keep pushing to change his mind.

The latest push came Tuesday morning; a group of about 50 organizers and supporters marched to the Governor’s offices at the old State Capitol to deliver a petition signed by over 3,000 North Carolinians.

The march came after a news conference at Pullen Memorial Baptist Church earlier in the day.

Speaker after speaker made the case for a special legislative session aimed at reversing this year’s decision cutting unemployment benefits.

They are also calling to reverse course on blocking expansion of the Medicaid program.

The legislature blocked the expansion despite that it is fully funded under the Affordable Care Act the first three years. The state would only pay 10 percent of the cost after that.

China Is On A Debt Binge And A Buying Spree Unlike Anything The World Has Ever Seen Before

Chinese Black Dragon - Photo by Angelus

When it comes to reckless money creation, it turns out that China is the king.  Over the past five years, Chinese bank assets have grown from about 9 trillion dollars tomore than 24 trillion dollars.  This has been fueled by the greatest private debt binge that the world has ever seen.  According to a recent World Bank report, the level of private domestic debt in China has grown from about 9 trillion dollars in 2008 to more than 23 trillion dollars today.  In other words, in just five years the amount of money that has been loaned out by banks in China is roughly equivalent to the amount of debt that the U.S. government has accumulated since the end of the Reagan administration.  And Chinese bank assets now absolutely dwarf the assets of the U.S. Federal Reserve, the European Central Bank, the Bank of Japan and the Bank of England combined.  You can see an amazing chart which shows this right here.  A lot of this “hot money” has been flowing out of China and into U.S. companies, U.S. stocks and U.S. real estate.  Unfortunately for China (and for the rest of us), there are lots of signs that the gigantic debt bubble in China is about to burst, and when that does happen the entire world is going to feel the pain.

It was Zero Hedge that initially broke this story.  Over the past several years, most of the focus has been on the reckless money printing that the Federal Reserve has been doing, but the truth is that China has been far more reckless

Common Core Third Grade Book Presents Messianic View of Obama

Parenting Election Day Books

A Common Core kid’s book teaches 3rd graders that Barack Obama is honest, kind, fair and godlike.

EAG News reported:

On the heels of a controversial children’s book about Barack Obama – which stated “white voters would never vote for a black president” and that “Barack’s former pastor” said “God would damn the United States for mistreating its black citizens” – comes a new lesson that casts America’s 44th president in a messianic light. Literally.

And – surprise – it’s Common Core-aligned.

The lesson plan and accompanying visual presentation were authored by Sherece Bennett, and is for sale on TeachersPayTeachers.com. It’s all based on a book titled, “Barack Obama: Son of Promise, Child of Hope,” by Nikki Grimes.

I love Christmas lights! They remind me of

Obama to Hollywood: Don’t glorify guns

President Obama urged a room of Hollywood executives and employees on Tuesday to “think long and hard” about the messages gun violence sends in movies.

“We gotta make sure that we’re not glorifying it,” Obama told the crowd at DreamWorks studio, adding that movie executives had a “big responsibility” to the viewing public. “Because the stories you tell shape our children’s outlook and their lives.”

Obama, who has sought to push tougher gun measures after a string of mass shootings across the country, briefly touched upon meetings Vice President Biden had with Hollywood executives earlier this year. “Those conversations need to continue,” he said. “The stories we tell matter,” he continued.

On the final day of a three-day trip to the West Coast, the president trumpeted the uptick of the economy, touting the entertainment industry as “one of America’s economic engines.”

“Entertainment is one of the bright spots of the economy,” he said.

Obama sought to pivot away from the rash of negative headlines that have plagued his administration’s botched HealthCare.gov website. He blamed Congress for “all the dysfunction and obstruction in Washington.”

Expect Devastating Global Economic Changes In 2014

by Brandon Smith

By any reasonable measure, I think it is safe to say that the last quarter of 2013 has been an insane game of economic Russian Roulette.  Even more unsettling is the fact that most of the American population still has little to no clue that the U.S. was on the verge of a catastrophic catalyst event at least three times in the past three months alone, and that we face an even greater acceleration next year.

The first near miss was the Federal Reserve’s announcement of a possible “taper” of QE stimulus in early fall, which sent shivers through stock markets and proved what we have been saying all along – that the entire recovery is a facade built on an ever thinning balloon of fiat money.  Today, markets function entirely on the expectation that the Fed will continue stimulus forever.  If the Fed does cut QE in any way, the frail psychology of the markets will shatter, and the country will come crashing down with it.

The second near miss was the possible unilateral invasion of Syria demanded by the Obama Administration.  As we have discussed here at Alt-Market for years, any invasion of Syria or Iran will bring detrimental consequences to the U.S. economy and energy markets, not to mention draw heavy opposition from Russia and China.  Though the naïve shrug it off as a minor foreign policy bungle, Syria could have easily become WWIII, and I believe the only reason the establishment has not yet followed through with a strike in the region is because the alternative media has been so effective in warning the masses.  The elites need a certain percentage of support from the general public and the military for any war action to be effective, which they did not receive.  After all, no one wants to fight and die in support of CIA funded Al Qaeda terrorist cells on the other side of the world.  The establishment tried to hide who the rebels were, and failed.

The third near miss was, of course, the debt ceiling debate, which has been extended to next spring.  America came within a razor’s edge of debt default, which many people rightly fear.  What some do not yet grasp, though, is that debt default of the U.S. was NOT avoided last month, it is INEVITABLE.  Debt default will ultimately result in the death of the dollar as the world reserve currency, and the petro-currency.  This final gasp will lead to hyperstagflation within our financial system, and third world status for most of the citizenry.  It is only a matter of time, and timing.

Here are a few reasons why I believe 2014 may be the year they make their final move…
