Iran seizes two Saudi fishing vessels in Gulf: Fars

The Iranian coast guard has seized two Saudi fishing vessels after they entered Iran’s territorial waters, a local coast guard official was quoted as saying on Wednesday.

“Yesterday, the coast guard deployed in the country’s southern waters came to spot two vessels in Iran’s protected waters,” Qalandar Lashkari, commander of the Bushehr province coast guard, told the Fars news agency.

He said the two vessels were fishing illegally in Iranian waters under Saudi flags. The nine sailors of various nationalities on board were arrested, he said.

Relations are tense between Shi’ite Muslim power Iran and Sunni Muslim-led Saudi Arabia, and seizures of vessels accused of straying into one another’s waters occur a few times a year.

Doug Hagmann: The Taking of America One Two Three

In late 1974, the movie The Taking of Pelham One Two Three, based on a novel of the same name, was released. The main plot involves four men, using colors as codenames, boarding the subway at Pelham station in New York at 1:23 pm., (hence the name) where they ultimately take a subway car full of hostages. They demand one million dollars or they will begin killing hostages.

Today, America appears to be in a similar position. The United States is that subwaycar and we, as citizens, are the hostages under the control of a small group of people. The difference, however, is that our intended fate will be decidedly different than the hostages in the movie. Our captors simply want us dead.

It is interesting to note that earlier that same year, an article appeared in the Council on Foreign Relations quarterly publication Foreign Affairs titled “The Hard Road to World Order.” It was written by Richard N. Gardner who wrote the following:

Leo Gerald: Domestic Enemy to America’s Liberty

Leo Gerald is one of America’s worst domestic enemy that no one knows. Like George Soros, this puppet master hides in plain site as he maneuvers to replace capitalism with communism. At any cost.

American Workers: From Bounty to Bleakness

At the first Thanksgiving, there was no expression of the sentiment: “I built this feast by myself.” Native Americans sat side by side with pilgrims—religious leader by huntsman, chief by planter. They shared the bounty they’d all worked to create.

This Thanksgiving will be very different for too many American workers. They won’t share in the bounty they helped create. The perfect symbol of that is an Ohio Wal-Mart placing bins in an employee-only area asking low-paid workers to donate Thanksgiving food to their low-paid colleagues.

The six Waltons who own Wal-Mart are the richest family in the world. They’re worth $102.7 billion, more than America’s poorest 49 million families put together. The Waltons’ turkeys will be served with gold leaf on gold platters. By private chefs. On very, very private estates. There won’t be any Wal-Mart greeters or cashiers or stock boys sitting side by side with Waltons at their opulent celebration of bounty. Meantime, the Waltons pay such poverty wages that Wal-Mart workers can’t afford their own Thanksgiving meals. The Walton heirs’ gluttonous, aristocratic attitude betrays the promise of the New World.

Iran: White House Lying About Details of Nuke Deal

Iranian officials say that the White House is misleading the public about the details of an interim nuclear agreement reached over the weekend in Geneva.

Iran and Western nations including the United States came to an agreement on the framework for an interim deal late Saturday night in Geneva. The deal has yet to be implemented

The White House released a multi-page fact sheet containing details of the draft agreement shortly after the deal was announced.

However, Iranian foreign ministry official on Tuesday rejected the White House’s version of the deal as “invalid” and accused Washington of releasing a factually inaccurate primer that misleads the American public.

Status on amnesty for illegals in Congress and a general update

Immigration Activists and Concerned Citizens,

First of all I hope all of you have a nice upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.  The fight to stop amnesty for illegal immigrants in not over, just sidelined until 2014.

Speaker John Boehner among others are not going to conference with the US Senate on the Gang of 8 Senate amnesty bill, however they are going to try to pass piecemeal legislation that starts off with immigration enforcement bills along with a possibly expanded guestworker bill and then ends with yet another bill to give amnesty in some form, probably to those who are young adults who came with their parents to the USA illegally.

Any amnesty is not acceptable to us……no matter what the form and excuses.  The Republicans will get beaten up by the Democrats and President Obama no matter what they do unless they offer a full scale amnesty to all illegals, and the Republicans will lose their conservative base with any off of amnesty.  Even the Union Chief of the workers in the US Citizenship and Immigration Services has said an amnesty threatens homeland security and will lead to widespread abuses and lead to disaster……will an amnesty be run by the government any better than Obamacare?   More to follow on our efforts in early 2014 to stop any amnesty train.

GENERAL: OBAMA PURPOSELY WEAKENING U.S. MILITARY

Vallely has also charged, along with several other top generals, that Obama is purging the military by firing top-level commanders and that his ultimate goal is to “destroy U.S. military superiority” to the “advantage of our global enemies.”

Sounds like a charge of treason to me. If true, why has the military or Congress not challenged the pResident?

A former deputy commanding general of the U.S. Pacific Command says President Obama seeks to “seize control over national security” and, bypassing Congress, singlehandedly weaken the U.S. military.

Army Maj. Gen. Paul E. Vallely, retired, charges in a 21-page position statement made available to WND, titled “The Obama Military – Evolution and Legacy,” that Obama already has begun working with Russia to reduce nuclear weapons without a treaty, which would require Senate ratification.

“This would allow Obama and the executive branch to unilaterally cut our military capability and nuclear weaponry and ignore the treaty clause of the Constitution,” said Vallely, who has also served as a senior military analyst for Fox News Channel. Vallely has also charged, along with several other top generals, that Obama is purging the military by firing top-level commanders and that his ultimate goal is to “destroy U.S. military superiority” to the “advantage of our global enemies.”

Iran, North Korea Secretly Developing New Long-Range Rocket Booster for ICBMs

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani meets with top North Korean official Kim Yong Nam / AP

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani meets with top North Korean official Kim Yong Nam / AP

by Bill Gertz

Iranian missile technicians secretly visited North Korea as part of joint development of a new rocket booster for long-range missiles or space launchers at the same time nuclear talks took place in Geneva, according to U.S. officials.

Several groups of technicians from the Shahid Hemmat Industrial Group (SHIG), a unit in charge of building Iran’s liquid-fueled missiles, traveled to Pyongyang during the past several months, including as recently as late October, to work on the new, 80-ton rocket booster being developed by the North Koreans, according to officials familiar with intelligence reports.

The booster is believed by U.S. intelligence agencies to be intended for a new long-range missile or space launch vehicle that could be used to carry nuclear warheads, and could be exported to Iran in the future.

Recent U.S. intelligence assessments have said that both North Korea and Iran are expected to have missiles capable of hitting the United States with a nuclear warhead in the next two years.

The Iranian cooperation reveals that the nuclear framework agreement concluded Sunday in Geneva has not slowed Tehran’s drive for missiles that can deliver a nuclear warhead to intercontinental range.

Jerusalem, Riyadh stunned: Obama makes Iran 7th world power on regional issues, including Palestinians

Iranian president and nuclear negotiators cheered at home

Iranian president and nuclear negotiators cheered at home

DEBKAfile’s exclusive Washington sources reveal exclusively: President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry secretly agreed to elevate Iran to the status of seventh world power, as a strong inducement for signing the interim nuclear accord in Geneva Sunday, Nov. 24, for living up to its obligations in the coming six months and for then signing a comprehensive agreement.

While Iran has always demanded respect and equal standing as a regional power, never in their wildest dreams had the ayatollahs expected to be granted big power standing, with an authoritative role recognized by the six big powers for addressing issues in a broad region spanning the Persian Gulf, the Middle East and Western Asia, including Afghanistan.

Why your savings account WILL lose money

Inflation

November 26, 2013
Santiago, Chile

Simon Black

On the flight down to Chile the other day from the US, I opened up a local Texas newspaper to an article entitled something like: “Getting the most out of your savings account”.

The reporter went on to list all the banks in the area where you could lock your money up in a 1-year Certificate of Deposit, and ranked them by who was paying the highest interest rate.

This will come as no surprise to you, but 0.9% was soundly in the top 10 for a 1-year CD… and 0.4% was in the top 10 for a 6-month CD.

“Pathetic” is probably the word that I would use to describe this. Perhaps even criminal.

We all know that the rate of inflation is substantially higher than what the government’s official reports say. But even if you use the government’s own numbers, “core CPI” is now 1.7%.

This means, quite simply, that if you hold cash in a bank account in the Land of the Free, YOU WILL LOSE MONEY. Period.

Obama Signals a Shift From Military Might to Diplomacy

The weekend ended with the first tangible sign of a nuclear deal with Iran, after more than three decades of hostility. Then on Monday came the announcement that a conference will convene in January to try to broker an end to the civil war in Syria.

China Gold Rush Continues – World’s Largest Jeweller Sees 49% Jump In Sales

Gold was trading near a one-week high today and is turning higher for the week, due to short-covering gains and the market questioning the Iran deal.

Comex had to suspend gold futures trading yesterday again – again for 20 seconds due to a massive sell order that led to just a $10 price fall.

Comex trading was halted for December gold futures at 6:02:24 a.m. GMT yesterday, Damon Leavell, a CME Group Inc. spokesman in New York, said in an e-mail. This led to gold falling to a 4 and a ½ month low near $1,225 an ounce before recovering from the massive sell order. Questions regarding gold manipulation continue to be asked including by Bloomberg (see link) overnight.

While the focus of the Bloomberg story is regarding possible rigging on the London AM Fix, regulators in the U.S. including the CFTC may need to reopen their investigation into manipulation of the gold market after the highly irregular trading on the COMEX last Wednesday and again early on Monday morning.

Without the massive sell order that shut down the COMEX for 20 seconds, gold prices would have been higher yesterday. That one trade pushed gold prices lower as European markets opened up and created very significant short term negative sentiment towards gold.  It led to dozens of headlines that flew around the world which said that gold prices had fallen due to the Iran deal.

Kay Hagan: Obama Sellout from the Very Beginning

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-aP2WY3vTU

Senator Kay Hagen (D., NC) who is up for reelection in 2014 was asked repeatedly about what she knew and when she knew it regarding Obamacare.  When asked, “At some point did you know that you couldn’t necessarily keep you policy and still make that claim.” Sen. Hagen dodged this question and any others like it, blaming millions of Americans losing their health insurance on the insurers and not Obamacare.  This answer does not sit well with many North Carolinian’s who believe, “basically by implication shouldn’t Senator Hagen somebody who signed the bill herself into law know as well?”
