In Stunning Move UK Parliament Rejects Syria Military Strike, Obama “Willing To Go It Alone”

Moments ago the UK House of Commons, in a razor thin vote, rejected the Cameron proposal for military action in Syria with a vote 285 to 272. Cameron promptly said he would respect the will of the House of Commons and UK Defense Secretary Phillip Hammond confirmed there would be no UK military intervention in Syria. Incidentally, this may have been the best outcome for an already humiliated British premier who will avoid being dragged into an unpopular war having both sided with his greatest ally, the US, and also relented and listened to the voice of the people. More importantly, the “people” in the UK actually had a voice, which is more than can so far be said about developments in the US. And speaking of the US, the NYT reports that even as the Syrian war “option” is slowly being shut out for staunch US allies (except for France of course), that Obama is “willing to move ahead with a limited military strike on Syria even while allies like Britain are debating whether to join the effort [ZH: and have now voted against it] and without an endorsement from the United Nations Security Council” citing senior administration officials.

The ETA for a unilateral move by Obama may be as soon as Saturday:

Although the officials cautioned that Mr. Obama had not made a final decision, all indications suggest that the strike could occur as soon as United Nations inspectors, who are investigating the Aug. 21 attack that killed hundreds of Syrians, leave the country. They are scheduled to depart Damascus, the capital, on Saturday.

It remains to be seen whether Congress will back such a decision, or whether in addition to getting the cold shoulder from his allies, Obama will also be forced to use the War Powers Act to once more stomp out popular dissent for a conflict that as previously reported, only has the support of just 9% of the US population.

The White House is to present its case for military action against Syria to Congressional leaders on Thursday night. Administration officials assert that the intelligence will show that forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad carried out the chemical weapons attack in the suburbs of Damascus.

US Finally Admits What Ron Paul Said: “Nobody Knows Who Set Off The Gas”

The AP reports that US intelligence officials are admitting that linking Syrian President Bashar Assad or his inner circle to an alleged chemical weapons attack is no “slam dunk,” as opposed to Obama (and Kerry) who are ‘unequivocal’ of the fact.

Via AP,

The intelligence linking Syrian President Bashar Assad or his inner circle to an alleged chemical weapons attack is no “slam dunk,” with questions remaining about who actually controls some of Syria’s chemical weapons stores and doubts about whether Assad himself ordered the strike, U.S. intelligence officials say.

….
“The danger of escalation with Russia is very high,” Ron Paul warns in this brief Fox News interview. After casting doubts on the government’s ‘knowledge’ and reasoning in the region, Paul gets straight to the point. Simply put, he notes, despite the ongoing headlines of ‘proof’ and ‘dreadful videos’, Paul states “We’re not positive who set off the gas,” and indeed – who is set to benefit most from any Assad-regime-smackdown? Al-Qaeda.

“Assad is not an idiot,” Paul adds, “it’s unlikely he would do this on purpose… look how many lies were told to us about Saddam Hussein prior to that build-up.” A lot of uncomrtable truths in this brief clip for an administration that has crossed its own red line (as we noted here) on actions against Syria now… I think it’s a false flag… Paul adds, there is a big risk that “we are getting sucked in” and the American people are against this war.

What To Expect During The Next Stage Of Collapse

by Brandon Smith

For years now at Alt-Market (and Neithercorp.us) I have carefully outlined the most likely path of collapse to take place within the U.S., and a vital part of that analysis included economic destabilization caused by a loss of the dollar’s world reserve status and petro-status.  I have also always made clear that this fiscal crisis event would not occur in the midst of a political vacuum.  The central banks and international financiers that created our ongoing and developing disaster are NOT going to allow the destruction of the American economy, the dollar, or global markets without a cover event designed to hide their culpability.  They need something big.  Something so big that the average citizen is overwhelmed with fear and confusion.  A smoke and mirrors magic trick so raw and soul shattering it leaves the very population of the Earth mesmerized and helpless to understand the root of the nightmare before them.  The elites need a fabricated Apocalypse.

Enter Syria…

I have been warning about the Syrian trigger point for a very long time.  Syria’s mutual defense pact with Iran, its strong ties to Russia, the Russian naval base off its coast, the advanced Russian weaponry in it’s arsenal, its proximity to vulnerable oil shipping lanes, all make the nation a perfect catalyst for a global catastrophe.  The civil war in Syria is already spreading into neighboring countries like Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon, and if one looks at the facts objectively, the entire war is a product of covert action on the part of the U.S. and its allies.

How We Can Stop Obamacare in North Carolina

From William Kennedy

Dr. Greg Brannon (websiteFacebook) will be giving a special presentation at Nullify Now! October 19th in Raleigh, NC: How the States can Stop Obamacare.

TICKETS HERE:
http://www.nullifynow.com/tickets

While much of the attention has been focused on the Defund Obamacare effort in Congress (which Greg has spoken strongly in favor of), there is much that can and should be done at the state level to pull the rug out from under this unconstitutional federal act.

Greg ROCKED the “Defund Obamacare” rally in Kinston recently. As he told the crowd…“Life, Liberty, and Property are ALL under attack in the healthcare bill. If the government really had an interest in our inalienable rights, as the Declaration of Independence said it should, then Congress would have never passed this bill, the President should have never signed the bill, and the Supreme Court should have declared it unconstitutional. Our system failed on 3 levels!”

In his presentation on October 19th in Raleigh, Greg will share with you the ways your state should be stepping in to help protect your liberty. From rejecting participation in the unconstitutional federal acts to other ways of interposing as the founders advised, this is an event that health freedom advocates should NOT miss!

Simon Black: 2,400 year old wisdom on the NSA, Edward Snowden, and gun control

aristotle

Nearly 2,400 years ago, Aristotle wrote one of the defining works of political philosophy in a book entitled Politics.

It’s still incredibly relevant today, particularly what he writes about tyranny.

The ancient Greeks used the word ‘turannos’, which referred to an illegitimate ruler who governs without regard for the law or interests of the people, often through violent and coercive means.

Aristotle attacks tyrants mercilessly in his book, and clearly spells out the criteria which make a leader tyrannical. You may recognize a few of them:

  1. Artistotle suggests that a tyrant rises to power by first demonstrating that he is a man of the people:

“He ought to show himself to his subjects in the light, not of a tyrant, but of a steward and a king.”

    and

“He should be moderate, not extravagant in his way of life; he should win the notables by companionship, and the multitude by flattery.”

  2. But once in power, a tyrant uses all available means to hold on to power, including spying on his people:

Representative Government Has Become a Bad Joke

Q: What is worse than having no voice in government ?

France Backs Down from Syrian Attack

France: political solution the ultimate goal for Syria

French President Francois Hollande said on Thursday that Syria needed a political solution, but that could only happen if the international community could halt killings like last week’s chemical attack and better support the opposition.

Hollande sounded a more cautious note than earlier in the week, when he said France stood ready to punish those behind the apparent poison gas attack that killed hundreds of civilians in Damascus.

He indicated that France was looking to Gulf Arab countries to step up their military support to the opposition to President Bashar al-Assad, after Paris said this week it would do so.

“Everything must be done for a political solution but it will only happen if the coalition is able to appear as an alternative with the necessary force, notably from its army,” Hollande told reporters after meeting the head of the opposition Syrian National Coalition, Ahmed Jarba.

“We will only manage this if the international community can put a temporary stop to this escalation in violence, of which the chemical attack is just one example,” Hollande said.

The English People and Parliament Force Cameron to Back Down

As outlined below David Cameron, the UK Prime Minister,  has been forced to back down plans to attack Syria. At least temporarily.

It is surprising how the people in the United States have become complacent to war and the never ending abuse of power by Obama. We are on the precipice of World War III and there are no rallies against the government to even follow the Constitution. The same media which condemned Bush for much less serious “offenses” is supporting this regime’s penchant for death. We have death panels under Obamacare, over 100 thousand dead in North Africa and the Middle East, and what may become the most deadly war known to man will become his legacy. Imagine a world war where Russia, China, Syria and Iran are a united bloc against the United States, England and France.

We also have “Congress” on summer vacation. Several lawmakers want John Boehner to call the House back into session now but their pleas are not answered.

I did not think that I would see the day when America would be overshadowed by England in any matters concerning Liberty.

I miss America but I will not forget.

Obama stalls for deal with Putin on softened strike

President Barack Obama interviewed on SyriaIn the face of statements by senior US officials that the Obama administration had crossed the Rubicon on military intervention in Syria, President Barack Obama declared early Thursday, Aug. 29, that he had not yet made a decision on whether to order a military strike against Syria. Although Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel announced that US armed forces were “ready to go,” Obama said he was still examining options with his security team.
The US president added that he had no doubt that chemical weapons were used by the Syrian regime, not the rebels, saying that for violating international norms and human decency, Assad “should be held accountable.”

At the same time, the White House suddenly appeared Wednesday night to be engaging in maneuvers for buying time and holding up military action against Syria, after the armies of the Middle East and half of Europe were already standing ready after completing massive war preparations.
One such maneuver was a leak from White House sources about a delay in releasing to America and the world the promised evidence of Assad’s culpability in the use of chemical weapons against the Syrian people. It was postponed because “the report was not yet ready.”

Another were grumbles from the president’s circle that President Obama had found himself jammed in an awkward timeline generated by his foreign travel schedule – he is due to take off next Wednesday, Sept. 4, for Sweden on his way to the G-20 summit in St. Petersburg of Sep. 5-6.

GRNC Alert: 08-28-13 – Macon County School Board Considers Unlawful Gun Ban

MACON COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD CONSIDERS UNLAWFUL GUN BAN

Governor McCrory’s signature on HB 937 is barely dry, and already one of its most important provisions is under attack. The new statute in question (14-269.2) provides for concealed handgun permit-holders to keep handguns in closed containers, within a locked motor vehicle, on educational grounds. On August 22, the “The Macon County News” reported that Macon County Schools attorney, John Henning, Jr., has said of the new statute, “It is just crazy.” He also contends that the statute may be circumvented via policies enacted by the local school board, policies that would allow for “disciplinary action.”

Unfortunately for Henning and the Macon County School Board, “It is just crazy,” is not a solid legal argument. In fact, enacting and attempting to enforce rules that counter this new statewide statute would be unlaw

Today, GRNC distributed a press release regarding the Macon County School Board’s considered effort to evade the law. In the press release, GRNC President, Paul Valone, highlights the reasons for this long sought change in the law:  Continue reading

I Have a Dream

I have a dream. It will save our children and our country. It does not seem far fetched today but I would never have been able to even consider this concept just a few short years ago.

The joint chiefs of staff relieve Obama as president of the United States when he issues the order to attack Syria and initiate World War III. It should have been done after Libya was illegally attacked. It should have been done after Benghazi. It should have been done before over a hundred thousand people were killed across North Africa and the Middle East.

Let’s hope that this dream will be God’s will and the destruction of our Constitution and nation will finally be over.
