Jackie Holcombe – Mayor Against Illegal Guns

Morrisville mayor Jackie Holcombe spoke at the Mayors Against Illegal Guns Rally in Raleigh on June 22, 2013. I have to wonder to whom she was speaking? The only people in front of her were a few video cameras. The “supporters” were all behind her and consisted of homeless people drafted to hold signs and assorted activists from outside the area. The bus supposedly broke down and this stop on the cross country tour was cancelled. The second amendment patriots across the street outnumbered Bloomberg’s choir and effectively countered Holcombe’s speech. The reference to Gander Mountain was in response to Holcombe’s crusade to shut down Gander Mountain in Morrisville because they sold ammunition.

Paul Valone of Grass Roots North Carolina gives another perspective at the Mayors Against Illegal Guns Rally in Raleigh, NC on June 22, 2013. Mayor Bloomberg’s bus broke down (supposedly) and did not bring their supporters and speakers. The opposition protest organized by GRNC had more people than the people supporting even more gun control legislation.

As I have seen in the past, the “supporters” included out of state people from Virginia, New York and Connecticut. Strange that some of these “people” were dressed in black, had black cars and were on their laptops in their cars prior to the rally. Another “contingent” were the homeless people that have become a fixture in Moore Square. Although they were drafted to hold signs and show support, they quickly evaporated once the free food from local churches started being served.

IRS Sent $46,378,040 in Refunds to 23,994 ‘Unauthorized’ Aliens at 1 Atlanta Address

The Internal Revenue Service sent 23,994 tax refunds worth a combined $46,378,040 to “unauthorized” alien workers who all used the same address in Atlanta, Ga., in 2011, according to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA).

That was not the only Atlanta address theoretically occupied by thousands of “unauthorized” alien workers receiving millions in federal tax refunds in 2011. In fact, according to a TIGTA audit report published last year, four of the top ten addresses to which the IRS sent thousands of tax refunds to “unauthorized” aliens were in Atlanta.

The IRS sent 11,284 refunds worth a combined $2,164,976 to unauthorized alien workers at a second Atlanta address; 3,608 worth $2,691,448 to a third; and 2,386 worth $1,232,943 to a fourth.

From Karen Silkwood to Michael Hastings, something is wrong

Just a few short years ago, I would have likely considered the death of Rolling StoneReporter Michael Hastings an “open and shut” tragedy after a cursory review of the open source evidence associated with this event.

Based on a number of things I’ve recently seen and certain information which I’ve been given over the last few years, I have my doubts. Serious doubts. Legitimate doubts.

I am not writing out of lack of experience and exposure to such events, as I’ve spent the last 28 years of my life as a career investigator. In the mid-to-late 1970s, I spent several years as a “first responder,” long before that descriptive phrase was ever used. In many ways, my transition from responding to tragedies of all kinds to the investigation of such events was a natural evolution, and set the stage for my current overlapping roles as an investigative journalist and a talk show host with the only goal of identifying truth and exposing lies, wherever the journey might lead.

Offering my background is to simply provide you with a frame of reference regarding how and why I am going on record to say that I suspect that there is something very wrong taking place in America, and it is not new. It is, however, becoming more refined and deadly, and perhaps even more common than any of us can comprehend or might be willing to accept. After all, it’s extremely uncomfortable for us to believe that there is an unseen darkness or a hidden hand that exists in our world as we personally know it.

CHILD-RAPE SUSPECT: SHE ‘SEDUCED’ ME

A University of Washington neurobiology student charged with child rape after being accused of picking up a 12-year-old girl from the Seattle streets and taking her to his apartment has been identified as a volunteer with a leading Islamic activist organization.

And he’s blaming the child for the alleged assault.

According to Pamela Geller, editor and publisher of Atlas Shrugs.com and president of the American Freedom Defense Initiative, suspect Omar Abdelbadie is a volunteer with the Washington state chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

The Answering Muslims apologetics website said Abdelbadie was born in Egypt but has lived in the U.S.  for the past eight years. In addition to volunteering with CAIR-Washington, he promotes interfaith unity as vice-president of Bridges, the University of Washington’s interfaith council.

According to SeattlePI.com, Abdelbadie claimed the child “seduced” him after he brought her to his apartment.

The digital paper said Abdelbadie told police the girl was dressed “provocatively” when he met her on the university district’s main thoroughfare. He allegedly admitted he ‘hooked up’ with the girl, but would not say whether he knew her true age, SeattlePI.com reported.

EMAIL SENT BY MICHAEL HASTINGS HOURS BEFORE HIS DEATH MENTIONS ‘BIG STORY’ AND A NEED TO ‘GO OFF THE RADAR’

In an email sent hours before his death in a fiery single-car crash in Los Angeles Tuesday, award-winning journalist Michael Hastings reportedly wrote that he was working on a “big story” and was going to “go off the radar for a bit.”

The subject of the email was “FBI investigation re: NSA,” KTLA reports.

Roughly 15 hours later, 33-year-old Hastings was dead.

U.S. charges Edward Snowden with espionage in leaks about NSA surveillance programs

Federal prosecutors have filed a sealed criminal complaint against Edward Snowden, the former National Security Agency contractor who leaked a trove of documents about top-secret surveillance programs, and the United States has asked Hong Kong to detain him on a provisional arrest warrant, according to U.S. officials.

Snowden was charged with espionage, theft and conversion of government property, the officials said.
