A week ago we joked that Greece was rapidly sliding into the “fourth world” (and had the photos to prove it). Well, today Equity Index provider MSCI took our joke and made it into something way too serious when overnight it made Greece the first developed nation ever to be downgraded into “emerging market” status. Not quite fourth world, but that too will come. However, what’s worse for Greece is that as we reported yesterday, the majority of Greeks have no way of learning about this following the governmental “temporary” shutdown of its one national TV prodier, ERT. Kathimerini followed up with news that ERT would be renamed to NERIT, the New Hellenic Radio Internet and Television – a state company owned by the public sector and regulated by the state, and relaunched by the end of August, however what matters to the public is that the vast majority of employees would likely be let go permanently.
However, the biggest news out of Greece is that the events in the 24 hours have pushed the depressed country right back into crisis mode, with political bickering front and center (the opposition leader called the uncoordinated move “a coup” even as coalition partners blasted the broadcaster shutdown while Europe washed it hands), while the economic contraction is set to accelerate once more following what is certain to be another escalation in daily protests and riots. And who can blame them – with that last civilizational “premium” – free TV for all – gone, what else is there to do?

I know that if I ask the Lord for help, he will provide. This does not mean materialistic possessions: it means directing my path and spiritual growth. How does this work? Most of the time, I am given what I call nudges (the good kind). For the past two months, my nudges from multiple sources have been stories concerning Bosnia while it was under siege.
The lessons that are being shown to me are simple:
1. Prepare – food, water, fuel sources, books, ammunition and firearms.
2. Family – prepper groups are good; extended family groups are better.
3. Security and communications – finalize your installations now.
4. As shown below (another nudge), the importance of faith is paramount.
Although I listed faith last, it is the most important point. By far. One of my recent nudges was a personal reorganization in my life which consolidated people of faith and removed those who do not have faith. Why did this happen? Faith will separate us in the future from those who will do “anything” to survive. They will rationalize their actions, regardless of the Lord’s judgment. It will separate men and women with Sacred honor from those who will become animals.

A Council on American-Islamic Relations leader told a crowd at a rally for Islam that members of the faith should not be bound by American law.
“If we are practicing Muslims, we are above the law of the land,” said Mustafa Carroll, executive director of the Dallas-Fort Worth CAIR branch.
The rally in Austin was part of a nationwide effort to hold “Muslim Capitol Day” events. The event included a speech by a representative of Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam, who declared that Texas was an awful place and that Islam was the answer.

Major Internet companies are urging the Obama administration to give them permission to disclose more details about national security requests for their users’ data.
Google sent a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder and FBI Director Robert Mueller, arguing that the information would prove that the company is not turning over massive batches of its users’ sensitive personal data to the government.
“Google’s numbers would clearly show that our compliance with these requests falls far short of the claims being made. Google has nothing to hide,” Google Chief Legal Officer David Drummond wrote in the letter.

…The facts are so obvious that I am shocked, shocked I’m telling you that the Republican whinerhawks and the “conservative” talk jock community has yet to figure out the ultimate reason the “PRISM” and other intelligence agency spy programs were in use by the Obama administration. There is this myth, propagated by the Republican elite and further enhanced by the current Democrat dominated power structure, that the “war on terror” which was declared over by President Obama is still being fought despite thousands of miles of open border, unchecked student visas, and intelligence ignored from foreign sources warning us of pending attacks. In the end, the National Security Agency (NSA) domestic spying program exposed by the soon to assume room temperature Edward Snowden is more about controlling our freedoms and manipulating financial markets along with the electoral process to guarantee a total new order does in fact preside over our nation within the next 6 months to a year.
First, let us rewind to ancient history where after the first Presidential debate in 2012, the Obama campaign was reeling, the over confidence was replaced with concern and the fundraising concerns of the summer didn’t create the media hyped popularity contest the President sought versus Mr. Plain Jane, Mitt Romney. When Romney unloaded on Obama venting the frustrations of about 60% of the population, the entire campaign was on their heels, as if their pre-debate intelligence and surveillance was inaccurate or erroneous to such an extent the Messiah appeared dumbfounded on stage as he expected clone of McCain to appear, not an assertive conservative attacking daring to attack his record in office.
That mistake, the errors of the staffers and professional political consultant class would not be repeated throughout the rest of the 2012 Presidential campaign.
Human beings are not meant to exist in isolation. We strive for inclusion and acceptance of our peers. And the forming of social groups, whether families, tribes, dynasties, and kingdoms is as old as human civilization itself.
Over the centuries, though, the social constructs have changed dramatically. It used to be closely knit, smaller groups with shared values and dedication to the other members. Now our loyalty is manipulated towards a political union… and the government which represents it.
In other words, we’re inculcated to have an unquestioning allegiance to the system.
The combination is so powerful that even in the face of overwhelming evidence, the sentiment is difficult to shake.
It’s clear now that the system has turned on the very people who invest their faith and confidence in it.
We can see the obvious effects of decades of morbidly destructive policy.
We can see how the way of life we grew up with has become a distant memory, replaced by a cheap masquerade.
We can see the debt, the money printing, the police state, the utter collapse of justice and rule of law… and the shiny facade of mindless entertainment and wanton consumerism as an attempt to cover it all up.
And yet… it’s still so hard to turn one’s back. Deep within ourselves there’s still a quiet voice that says “This can be fixed. It’s going to get better.”

Now consider this in a different perspective: let’s apply this to the current controversy for Prism. Mr. Snowden stated “I don’t want to live in a society that does these sort of things“. I also do not want to live in a nation where law is often but the tyrant’s will. Based on the statements from our leaders in Washington, DC, it is now obvious that most of them support the will of the tyrant. I also do not understand why this is not the foundation of the liberty movement.
I suggest we use this as a means to delineate patriots from domestic enemies. And based on what I see, Washington, DC is a brood of vipers with very few exceptions.

In America today there is a great rushing storm, a swirling hurricane of clashing opinions and ideologies that defy coherent organization and classification. This social tempest has been triggered by certain revelations among the general public on issues which we in the Liberty Movement have long been aware. The fact that our government is bought and paid for by international corporate interests, the fact that our government has positioned itself to spy on ALL Americans without warrant and without probable cause, the fact that our government is instituting policy initiatives that target common citizens as enemy combatants, the fact that every one of our Constitutional rights is being deliberately torn away; these things are not news to us, but to many once ignorant people, they are a shock to the system.
Open corruption on the part of a criminal establishment has a funny way of politicizing everyone, even those people who go out of their way to avoid the bigger picture. In the end, no man or woman gets a pass. Whether you like it or not, one day soon, you will have to choose a side; freedom or tyranny. There is no middle ground. There is no Switzerland.
With all the rationalizations and counter-rationalizations flying around concerning the current avalanche of admissions and data leaks, it is easy to lose track of the root of the overall conflict. It’s as if we have been dropped into the heart of an Amazonian swamp, our feet encased in a thick sludge of social inaction as a dark cloud of mindless mosquito-people buzz about us, pecking hungrily at our veins with their warped and uneducated world views. The deafening chorus distracts us from what is truly important.
