Sinclair – Full-Blown Panic As People Ask “Where Is The Gold?”

Today legendary trader Jim Sinclair warned King World News about the full-blown panic that has erupted in both the financial world, and the gold market as well, as people ask, “Where is the gold?”  Below is what Sinclair, who was once called on by former Fed Chairman Paul Volcker to assist during a Wall Street crisis, had to say in this remarkable interview.

Sinclair: “People have to understand what the motivation was for the recent takedown in the gold price.  It was so well organized, strategized, and executed by the gold banks, in unison, even though it has had the unintended consequence of creating a massive and worldwide buying frenzy in the physical gold market.

There is a comparison that is obvious today because I was very involved in the $1 billion loan which had to be made at the time that the Hunt’s positions went into default (in 1980).  This was at a time when Bache & Company, and Merrill Lynch were rumored to be at least on the fence, if not entirely insolvent.

You have to understand that back in 1980 when gold had risen to $887.50, and silver traded above $51 an ounce, the financial world was in a full-blown panic and many people firmly believed the dollar was going into oblivion.

March Durable Goods Implode, Plunge -5.7%; CapEx Recovery Put On Indefinite Hiatus

So much for the great American CapEx recovery. Moments ago the Census department released the March Durable Goods report, thanks to which one can lay to rest any hope of a recovery in the US economy, with the headline number printing an absolutely abysmal -5.7%, an epic swing from the +5.7% (revised lower of course to 4.3%) in February, and confirming the recovery is dead and buried. This was the biggest miss in headline data and the biggest drop since August, and the second worst since January 2009.

Although we are confident the propaganda spin is just waiting to be unleashed: after all it is possible that March weather was both too hot and too cold, thereby making the number completely irrelevant – after all it is always the inclement weather’s fault when the economy does not act as predicted by some economist’s DSGE model of reality and stuff.

Domestic Enemy: Elizabeth Warren

I have no love for the domestic enemies in Washington, D.C. Especially those associated with Organizing for Action which I believe has a long term agenda to implement Socialism not only in what will be left of the United States, but even outside our borders. I was surprised to receive the following notice today from Elizabeth Warren. Why is a sitting US Senator using Organizing for Action’s email list? The answer is simple: Obama is collecting money at my.barackobama.com for the victims of the Boston Marathon.

Anyone associated with OFA is a threat to Liberty and therefore is a domestic enemy.

David DeGerolamo

From Sen. Warren:

Friend —

It’s a calm, quiet day in Boston today. It’s difficult to believe that such horror filled our streets only a week ago.

Inflation, Deflation and Wealth Protection – Part One

What is inflation?

Inflation is one of the most commonly misunderstood phenomenon in the world today – even by so called professionals. I worked in the investment banking industry for fifteen years. I would bet the percentage of these people who really understand inflation is in the low single digits. This is by design.

For the same reasons the central planners hide half of the price equation from us they are misinforming us as to the true definition of inflation. Truth is kryptonite to the empire of lies. The misinformation is perpetuated by the education we receive in government funded institutions of education and by the mainstream media. To learn the truth we must first expose these false truths with which we have been indoctrinated.

We have been taught in school, by government experts and by the media that inflation is rising prices. Is this true? Let’s find out together.

We learned in the above section on prices there are four variables simultaneously effecting the price of things we buy. Furthermore, we learned there are only four possible scenarios where changes in these variables will result in rising prices. Let us take each of those four scenarios one at a time in isolation and logically analyze how each will effect the overall level of prices in an economy.

Napolitano tells senators that immigration bill will improve security

Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano told senators Tuesday that comprehensive immigration reform legislation will make the country more secure, prompting skepticism from Republican lawmakers.

Napolitano told the Senate Judiciary Committee the legislation would “absolutely” improve the security of the nation’s borders.

“Yes, we’ll have more identifications, more metrics, more biographic review, not just against law enforcement holdings but [National Counterterrorism Center] holdings,” Napolitano testified on Tuesday. “So it increases security in that end.”

She said giving illegal immigrants provisional legal status would also make them more likely to cooperate with police to solve a variety of crimes. Many immigrants in the country illegally who witness crimes are afraid to come to the police because of fear about being penalized for their status.

US MINT SELLS OUT, HALTS SALES OF FRACTIONAL 1/10 OZ GOLD EAGLES!

The US Mint has just halted sales of fractional 1/10th oz gold eagles!  For now, sales continue for 1oz, 1/2 oz, and 1/4oz coins…although based on the fact that many wholesalers have already sold their next 2 months allocations forward and have now suspended sales, we suspect a complete halt for US mint gold and silver products is coming…and soon.

US Treasury takes new action against Hezbollah funders

HEZBOLLAH SUPPORTERS march through the streets of Beirut last year.

he US Treasury Department on Tuesday listed two Lebanese exchange houses as institutions of “primary money laundering concern” for their work with Hezbollah, invoking Section 311 of the USA PATRIOT Act to effectively shut them out of the American economy.

In a declassified statement of their case, the US claims that the Rmeiti Exchange and Halawi Exchange have consistently complied in a scheme that comingles money from used car dealerships in the US and drugs from South America into significant funding for the Lebanese terrorist organization.

The public move puts significant pressure on the Lebanese government to act on its own against the financial houses.

“It wouldn’t be in the overall interest of the Lebanese government to have more of its banks under scrutiny,” says Bessma Momani, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution.

“But there’s a lot of fear within the government of Hezbollah – there would be fear of literal assassinations.”

A Message from the Arab American in Charge of Obama’s Organizing for Action

Organizing for Action

Friend —

When Organizing for Action launched just three months ago, we were a bare-bones organization without a single paid staff member on the ground.

Since then, because of the work of our dedicated volunteers, we’ve been accomplishing some incredible things. But the time has come to take our organizing to the next level.

That’s why I am excited to introduce Cheryl Ellis, the new North Carolina state coordinator for Organizing for Action.

The state coordinator’s role is to support the work folks like you are already doing. Cheryl will help identify leaders, build chapters, and work to keep all of our skills sharp through trainings and development programs.

Your coordinator will work with local volunteers to build a strategy specific to your community, and to make sure the North Carolina team is getting all the resources this organization has to offer.

Introduce yourself — add your name and let Cheryl know you’re ready to lend a hand:

http://my.barackobama.com/Ready-to-Help

This is just the beginning. A lot more to come!

Thanks,

Sara

John Boehner Says He’s Not Allowing Select Committee Investigation Into Benghazi

john_boehner_slams_goldman_sachs_clout_but_pockets_its_cash-460x307You read that right. Speaker of the House and RINO extraordinaire John Boehner (R-OH) is denying a select committee probe that would investigate the Benghazi attack, even though there is mounting support in the House for doing just that.

We told you earlier that Congressman Frank Wolf (R-VA) put forth a resolution back in January which has gained over 100 supporters in the House of Representatives and that the mother of slain information management officer Sean Smith, Patricia Smith, supports Wolf’s resolution to get to the bottom of the attacks in Benghazi.

Executive Action: Obama To Ban Importation of Ammo, Magazines and Gun Accessories Without Congressional Approval

Over the course of the last month, while Americans were distracted with the threat of nuclear war on the Korean peninsula and the devastation wrought by the Boston bombings, President Obama was quietly working behind the scenes to craft laws and regulations that will further erode the Second Amendment.

Congress, and thus We the People, may have unequivocally rejected federal legislation in March which aimed to outlaw most semi-automatic rifles, restrict magazine capacity, and force national registration, but that didn’t stop the President from ceding regulatory control over firearms importation to the United Nations just two weeks later. What the UN Arms Trade Treaty, passed without media fanfare by 154 counties, would do is to restrict the global trade of, among other things, small arms and light weapons. Opponents of the treaty argue that loopholes within the new international framework for global gun control may make it illegal for Americans to purchase and import firearms manufactured outside of the United States.

To further his gun-grabbing agenda, however, President Obama and his administration didn’t stop there.

Now they’re taking another significant step against Americans’ right to bear arms – and they’re doing it through Presidential Executive Action, a strategy that, once again, bypasses Congressional oversight and the legislative process.

Earth Day 2013: Environmentalists Promised That Life Would End 30 Years Ago. So Why Hasn’t It?

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNQbo4rzs-A

From YouTube:

It’s Earth Day, and Trifecta wonders whether it is still too late to save Mother Earth. When Earth Day was in part organized by the Unicorn Killer in 1970, environmentalists warned of a decade of famine and death. It never materialized. Now environmentalists warn that global warming will certainly doom mankind. If environmental catastrophe did not come 30 years ago, will it ever come?

Tehran and Assad slide past US and Israeli red lines – nuclear and chemical

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel was hardly out of Israel’s door Tuesday, April 23, when a spate of awkward data came spilling out in Tel Aviv.

Iran has crossed the last red line Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu laid down before the UN Assembly last September, said the well-informed former military intelligence chief Amos Yadlin. None of the measures for halting Iran’s race for a nuclear bomb have worked, he said. For a while, Tehran was impressed by the Israeli prime minister’s warning, but then went back to uranium enrichment at top speed. By now, Iran has certainly gone past the limit set by Netanyahu.

Likud lawmaker Tzahi Hanegbi said Israel has no more than a month or two for stopping a nuclear Iran.

Ron Dermer, a senior Netanyahu adviser and Israel’s next ambassador to Washington, told a group of American Jewish leaders Sunday that the time for action against Iran’s capacity to build a bomb – which he termed an existential threat to Israel – must be counted in months.

Piling on the gloom, Brig. Gen Itay Brun reported that the Syrian army had started using chemical weapons against rebel forces, including Sarin and other paralyzing substances, without the world lifting a finger to stop it.
All the red lines had suddenly been knocked over by Iran’s rapid progress toward a nuclear weapon and by Bashar Assad who, backed by Tehran, mocked US President Barack Obama’s warning just a month ago that “proof of chemical weapons use would be a game changer.”

Judge Napolitano: ‘It’s Dangerous to Talk of Suspending Suspect’s Constitutional Liberties’

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0agRqefCvM

From YouTube:

In a heated debate with Stuart Varney, Napolitano argues the alleged Boston bomber must be granted his rights under the Constitution.

“Guess what. The Fifth Amendment prevents us from ‘getting’ what we want to get out of him. If you want to suspend his Fifth Amendment right, there will be no limit to whose rights you can suspend!” said Napolitano, pointing out that the younger brother is a U.S. citizen and therefore gets the same “panoply” of constitutional rights that anyone else would.

Rand Paul Thinks It’s OK To Kill U.S. Citizens With Drones On American Soil

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmOGeBQzj4g#!

From YouTube:

Remember when Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) stood up on the Senate floor for nearly 13 hours in an ideological protest of the Obama administration’s hypothetical authority to use drone technology to kill U.S. citizens on American soil? Well, now he’s saying killing a certain U.S. citizen on some specific American soil in Watertown, Massachusetts last Friday may not have been the worst thing in the world.

During an interview with Neil Cavuto on Fox Business Network Monday night, Paul attempted to make a distinction between the American “sitting in a café” example he has often cited and the “imminent threat” faced by Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Friday night. “I’ve never argued against any technology being used when you have an imminent threat, an active crime going on,” Paul said. Though his next example offered up a disturbingly low bar for the predator drone option. “If someone comes out of a liquor store with a weapon and fifty dollars in cash,” he said, “I don’t care if a drone kills him or a policeman kills him.”

Israel Says Syria Has Used Chemical Weapons

Israel’s senior military intelligence analyst said Tuesday that the Syrian government had repeatedly used chemical weapons in the last month, and criticized the international community for failing to respond, intensifying pressure on the Obama administration to intervene.

“The regime has increasingly used chemical weapons,” said Brig. Gen. Itai Brun, research commander in the intelligence directorate of the Israeli Defense Forces, echoing a recent finding by Britain and France. “The very fact that they have used chemical weapons without any appropriate reaction,” he added, “is a very worrying development, because it might signal that this is legitimate.”

General Brun’s statements are the most definitive by an Israeli official to date regarding evidence of chemical weapons attacks on March 19 near Aleppo and Damascus. Another military official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said that the evidence had been presented to the Obama administration — which has declared the use of chemicals a “red line” that could prompt American action in Syria — but that Washington has not fully accepted the analysis.
