Normalcy Bias?

head in sand

When I critically scrutinize the economic, political, financial, and social landscape at this point in history, I come to the inescapable conclusion that our country and world are headed into the abyss. This is most certainly a minority viewpoint. The majority of people in this country are oblivious to the disaster that will arrive over the next decade. Some would attribute this willful ignorance to the normalcy bias that infects the psyches of millions of ostrich like iGadget distracted, Facebook addicted, government educated, financially illiterate, mass media manipulated zombies.

The unsustainability of our economic system built upon assumptions of exponential growth, ever expanding debt, increasing consumer spending, unlimited supplies of cheap easy to access oil, impossible to honor entitlement promises, and a dash of mass delusion should be apparent to even the dullest of government public school educated drones inhabiting this country.

Glenn reacts to Janet Napolitano’s shocking admission

The disinformation that has accompanied the investigation and reporting of the Boston Marathon bombing has been nothing short of spectacular. Perhaps there is no greater example than Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano’s comments in the wake of the event.

How The Boston Bombing Is Already Being Exploited To Introduce Tyranny

by Brandon Smith

I have no personal experience in the business of false flag terrorism, but I imagine that engineering a successfully staged terror attack to be blamed on innocent or semi-innocent parties with the goal of psychologically manipulating a population requires that one also be an accomplished storyteller.  It demands an avid imagination and an organized sense of foresight.  And, most of all, it requires a consistency of narrative.  Without consistency, the audience’s ability to suspend its disbelief is damaged, and they become disconnected from the fantasy being portrayed.

If I were the “writer” behind the “story” of the Boston Marathon Bombing, I would consider my efforts an abject failure.

The narrative of the event has changed multiple times in only a few days, following a hailstorm of conflicting observations from the government and the establishment-run media.  The “villain” of the original plotline was clearly meant to be “rightwing extremism” as numerous mainstream talking heads, led by federal agency inferences, began repeating the “homegrown right wing terrorist” meme everywhere.  This meme was partly abandoned after the alternative media and the Liberty Movement began its own investigation, revealing a large federal presence on the scene, including military Civil Support Teams often tied to the DHS and Northcom, as well as the witnesses who observed what on-scene officials called “training exercises” during the marathon.  I have no doubt that these citizen investigations forced the establishment to change the direction of their crime tale, and use Plan B patsies instead.  This, however, complicated the momentum of the fiction, and created even more questions.

GE CAPITAL CUTS OFF FINANCING TO GUN STORES

Welcome to the new Fascist Amerika where only those businesses aligning with the goals of our fascist overlords are allowed to succeed. As the WSJ has reports tonight, GE Capital has just cut off all funding to gun dealers across the US:

This month, Glenn Duncan, owner of Duncan’s Outdoor Store in Bay City, Mich., said he received a letter from GE Capital Retail Bank in which the lender said it had made “the difficult decision” to stop providing financing services to his store. Other gun dealers have received similar notices.

With the Senate failing to pass Obama’s signature gun control legislation this week, it appears that the banksters are taking the destruction of the 2nd amendment into their own hands.

As the WSJ reports:

General Electric Co. is quietly cutting off lending to gun shops, as the company rethinks its relationship to firearms amid the fallout from the school shooting in Newtown, Conn.

Are Liberals Realizing the Dangers of Radical Islam?

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWaCm3l6818

From YouTube:

HBO’s Bill Maher interrupted his show to warn a politically correct guest about the dangers of radical Islam. Are liberals like Bill Maher finally realizing that radical Islam is a threat to U.S. security, or is the liberal comedian having a unique awakening? Find out what Trifecta thinks.

“The battlefield is the United States of America”

When you’ve got a guy like Senator John McCain who says “The battlefield is the United States of America,” it tells you that almost nothing is safe in the Land of the Free.

Whatever remains of civil liberties is going to feel the full brunt of the state’s boot heel.

They’re already regulating some of the most fundamental aspects of life, from how we are allowed to educate our children to what we can / cannot put in our bodies to the very nature of money.

People are forced to hold their savings in insolvent banks backed by insolvent insurance funds backed by insolvent governments. And those insolvent governments have demonstrated that they are perfectly willing to directly confiscate accounts.

Retirement funds have proven to be an easy, tempting target. A number of countries including Argentina, Ireland, and Hungary have appropriated private pensions. Even the US government temporarily dipped into federal employee pensions.

Tsarnaev-Connected Waltham Murders Occurred on 9/11

The headstone of Erik Weissman, one of three murdered in Waltham, MA on Sept. 11, 2011. Tamerlan Tsarnaev knew all three men.

One aspect of the unsolved brutal throat-slashing murders of three men in a Waltham apartment in 2011, all three of whom knew Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the dead suspect in the Boston Marathon Bombings, has been overlooked.

It may be pure coincidence, but it turns out that Erik Weissman, 31 of Waltham, Raphael Terek, 37, of Waltham and Brendan Mess, 25, of Waltham were murdered on September 11, 2011. Terek and Weissman were Jewish.

That Tamerlan Tsarnaev knew the three men who were murdered became known recently, and the fact that Tamerlan was very close with at least one of them but never showed up for the funeral or memorial services, wasconsidered odd at the time, but memory faded.

The exact date of the murders  – September 11 – and its significance, had not yet been recognized.

Despite efforts of officials and the mainstream media to avoid any linkage between the bombings just two weeks ago and a violence emanating from a particular form of radicalized Islam, everyone has now been forced to acknowledge that connection.

Boston Bombers Had Links to al Qaeda Terrorist Cells

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myWwoIFvGfI

The surviving Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has every incentive for insisting that he and his brother acted alone and out of “ideological” motives in the Boston Marathon bombings of April 15.

That was predictable.

What is surprising is the acceptance of this claim by his federal interrogators.

He can’t speak because of a wound to the throat. But did they really expect him to write down the names and addresses of his and his brother Tamerlan’s fellow terrorists and associates?

Dzhokhar was formally charged Monday, April 22, with using and conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction. The charge related to the twin bombings of the Boston Marathon causing the deaths of three people including an 8-year old boy and injuring 180 others.

One way or another, the 19-year old Dzhokhtar is condemned to die – whether under a federal court sentence or from his injuries.

If he sticks to his story that they brothers acted alone in the cause of Islam, he dies a “a glorious martyr” to the sacred cause, celebrated across the radical Islamic world as a shining inspiration for more terrorist cells to go forth bearing his name.

US Mint Gold Sales Surge To Highest Since 2009

First it was a tripling of gold sales at the UK Royal mint, and now with just 23 days in the month of April gone, it is the US Mint’s turn to reports that more gold has been sold month to date than any month since December 2009 when a record 231,500 ounces were sold. In one day, the mint sold yet another 13,000 ounces of gold, bringing the total to 196,500, or more than triple the 62,000 ounces sold in the previous month.

GRNC Alert 4-24-13: Restaurant Carry Passes Committee

Restaurant Carry Passes Committee

After lengthy debate and after rejecting numerous anti-gun amendments, the NC House Judiciary A Committee today passed House Bill 937. The bill will now head to the House floor for a vote, likely next week.

  • In its present form, HB 937 would expand concealed carry into:
  • Restaurants;
  • Assemblies of people for which admission is charged;
  • College campuses (provided firearms are kept in locked vehicles); and
  • Parking lots of state office buildings.

HB 937 would also clean up flaws in the parks carry language passed in HB 650 under which municipalities continue to flout the law by banning guns in entire parks.

During sometimes rancorous debate, Representatives Darren Jackson(D-Wake , GRNC 0-star), Deborah Ross (D-Wake, 0-star) and others proposed amendments designed to be “poison pills” for the bill. All failed. Most surprising was an amendment by Rep. Bob Steinburg (R-Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Tyrrell, ****) who supported the bill, but objected to provisions allowing concealed handgun permit-holders to keep firearms in locked vehicles on college campuses.

ROBBER BARONS ARE STEALING PENSIONS, BANK DEPOSITS AND DEMOCRACY

By Dr. Paul Craig Roberts

April 24 (King World News)

“The real concern about US bank deposits is that they are denominated in US dollars, and the supply of new dollars has been increasing by about $1,000 billion per year for the last several years.  The demand for dollars has not been increasing by the same amount.  Indeed, as more and more countries implement measures to settle their trade balances in their own currencies, the demand for dollars is falling.

When the supply increases and the demand falls, the price falls.  The exchange value of the dollar in terms of other currencies has escaped sharp declines because of the dollar’s traditional role as world reserve currency and safe haven and because the sovereign debt crisis in Europe has caused flight from the euro to the dollar.  The Japanese, the Saudis and the oil emirates have large dollar holdings and no interest in destabilizing the dollar.

The Chinese (who also have large holdings) attitude toward the dollar could be adversely affected by Washington’s aggressive “Pivot Asia” policy of surrounding China with military bases.

Nevertheless, the world is watching, and the world sees only feeble efforts by Congress and the White House to balance the $1,000 billion annual operating deficit, a deficit that will rise if the economy turns down.  The world sees the monetization of $1,000 billion in Treasury debt and the banks’ mortgage-backed derivatives per year.  The question is unavoidable:  Who wants to hold dollars and dollar-denominated financial assets when the dollar faces such obvious exchange-rate risk?

Part 1: AAR – SUT/Patrolling/Logistics Course – April 19-22, 2013

One day after class ended, I’m finding it difficult to disseminate the sheer volume of information that was presented.

This will be a little bit different than my previous AAR. I won’t be going into the details about what we did as much. Instead, I will try and share what I learned that hopefully will be beneficial to you. I’m going to break this up into parts as well.

I would like to thank the host of the class and his wife for allowing us to use their land for training and for providing us with 3 delicious square meals a day. That allowed us to get in more class time by not having to stop and prepare our own meals. In addition, it tasted light years ahead of any MRE. It also provided ample opportunity for creating a stronger team cohesion as we ate around the campfire.

As has been previously stressed, PT before hand will help tremendously. This time around, my endurance was much stronger and I was able to recover very quickly. Do PT. It does make a difference. Also not eating Wendy’s Chili Cheese Fries the night before helps as well.

The SUT portion of the class was a more condensed version of the previous SUT class I attended. However, despite this, Mosby was able to teach the same information.

Things learned via observation and demonstrations:

JANET NAPOLITANO’S MAJOR ADMISSION: SAUDI STUDENT WAS PUT ON WATCHLIST

Napolitano Responds to Grassley Questions About Saudi National Questioned in Boston Bombings

Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano admitted Tuesday that a Saudi national once identified as a “person of interest” in the Boston Marathon bombings was put on a terror watchlist after the attack.

Last week, she refused to answer any questions about the Saudi, calling South Carolina Rep. Jeff Duncan’s inquiry “so full of misstatements and misapprehension that it’s just not worthy of an answer.”

But today, speaking at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on immigration reform, Napolitano responded to a question posed by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa).

“Before the [Tsarnaev] brothers became the focus of the investigation, authorities questioned a Saudi student who reportedly was on a terror watchlist,” Grassley said.  “I sent a letter to you this morning asking for answers to questions about the bombers and how they interacted with your agency, I trust you will promptly respond…”

“With regard to the Saudi student, was he on a watchlist, and if so, how did he obtain a student visa?” Grassley asked.

Napolitano firmly responded: “He was not on a watchlist.  What happened is — this student was, really when you back it out, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.  He was never a subject.  He was never even really a person of interest.  Because he was being interviewed, he was at that point put on a watchlist, and then when it was quickly determined he had nothing to do with the bombing, the watch listing status was removed.” [Emphasis added]
