The Other Side to the Tommy Tucker Story

This is a smear campaign by the Left.  Sen. Tommy Tucker is a very humble, very kind, thoroughly decent brother in Christ.  Tommy Tucker is nothing at all like the Left is portraying him.
Don’t you realize that 95% of the Press is in the tank for the Democrats, and perfectly willing to spread any lie to smear a conservative?  My rough guestimate is that the Press is about 75% Democrats, 10% Greens/Socialists/Marxists/etc, 10% RINOs, 3% Libertarians, and 2% real Republicans. (Tanner is a RINO, and Beasley is a Democrat.)
Your mistake was to believe this nastiness about Sen. Tucker without getting the other side of the story.
What follows are seven comments I posted to the dishonest Huffington Post article: one short comment that they deleted, a four-part long comment that they did not delete, and two more short comments that they did not delete:
Sen. Tucker was obviously offended by the newspaper publisher’s behavior, and snapped at him.

TLDavisThe one thing more humiliating than being caught by the authorities in an attempt to fight back against a corrupt and illegal system of government is to be caught not making the attempt.

There is no doubt in my mind that every single law restricting ownership of firearms is an illegal law. I can argue that case by case if needed, with a few moments to check my notes. A great resource, however, can be found here. It is an exhaustive look at the Second Amendment as related to U.S. v Miller. Most notable are the arguments made in favor of the United States. The logic and references made there are convoluted and entirely void of references to the founders who made their sentiments known time and time again on where the right rested. It rests with the individual.

WATERTOWN, MA — On Friday, April 19, 2013, during a manhunt for a bombing suspect, police and federal agents spent the day storming people’s homes and performing illegal searches. While it was unclear initially if the home searches were voluntary, it is now crystal clear that they were absolutely NOT voluntary. Police were filmed ripping people from their homes at gunpoint, marching the residents out with their hands raised in submission, and then storming the homes to perform their illegal searches.

BECK BREAKS EXCLUSIVE INFORMATION ON SAUDI NATIONAL ONCE CONSIDERED A PERSON OF INTEREST IN BOSTON BOMBINGS

  • A Saudi national originally identified as a “person of interest” in the Boston Marathon bombing was set to be deported under section 212 3B — “Security and related grounds” — “Terrorist activities” after the bombing
  • As the story gained traction, TheBlaze’s Chief Content Officer Joel Cheatwood received word that the government may not deport the Saudi national, originally identified as Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi
  • Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano refused to answer questions on the subject when confronted by Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) on Capitol Hill.
  • An ICE official said a different Saudi national is in custody, but is “in no way” connected to the bombings.
  • A congressional source, however, says that the file on Alharbi was created, that he was “linked” in some way to the Boston bombings (though it is unclear how), and that documents showing all this have been sent to Congress.
  • Key congressmen of the Committee on Homeland Security request a classified briefing with Napolitano
  • Fox News’ Todd Starnes reports that Alharbi was allegedly flagged on a terrorist watch list and granted a student visa without being properly vetted.  Sources close to the investigation also told him the Saudi is still set for deportation.
  • New information provided to TheBlaze reveals Alharbi’s file was altered early Wednesday evening to disassociate him from the initial charges
  • Sources say the Saudi’s student visa specifically allows him to go to school in Findlay, Ohio, though he appears to have an apartment in Boston, Massachusetts
  • Sources tell us this will most likely now be kicked from the DHS to the DOJ and labeled an ongoing investigation that can no longer be discussed.

Caterpillar Earnings, Revenue Fall Short; Slashes 2013 Outlook

Caterpillar posted earnings and revenue that missed Wall Street expectations on Monday, and cut its full-year outlook for 2013 to reflect a drop in demand for heavy equipment from its mining customers.

After the earnings announcement, the world’s largest maker of construction equipment saw its shares fall in pre-market trading before turning higher.

Caterpillar posted quarterly earnings excluding items of $1.31 per share, down from $2.37 per share in the comparable year-ago period. Revenue sank to $13.21 billion from $15.98 billion a year ago.

An English Viewpoint on Obama

Barack Obama is a lame-duck president.

Nobody listens to what he says anymore, nobody is interested in winning his approval and nobody much cares if he thinks they have “let the country down”. This is typical for a second-term president who has lost all their leverage because they’re no longer running for office and everybody is patiently waiting for the day when he quits the White House. But Obama’s difficult personality has doubled the size of the challenge. Gloating in victory, adolescent in defeat – the Prez doesn’t make it easy to work with him. Why should conservative senators give him a legislative victory after he has spent four years painting them as knuckle-dragging rednecks who hate women and the poor?

Swiss To Vote On Gold Repatriation – “Gold Is The Only Valuable Asset On The SNB’s Balance Sheet”

A few weeks ago, we wrote of the Swiss People’s Party’s efforts to gain enough signatures to force the Swiss National Bank (SNB), who ‘supposedly’ guarantees the price stability in Switzerland, to stop selling its gold reserves. This last week, as the FT reports, they reached the required 100,000 signature mark and on Thursday the federal chancellery confirmed Switzerland is to hold a referendum that would ban the central bank from selling its gold reserves, force it to keep at least 20% of its assets in the metal, and  repatriate gold reserves held abroad and keep them at home. Following Cyprus’ forced sales and discussions of the net wealth in other European peripheral nations, proponents of the Swiss measure flatly reject the idea of sales, arguing that disposals of gold reserves at low prices between 2001 and 2006, as well as more recently, have cost Switzerland billions of Swiss francs. The “Save Our Swiss Franc” initiative proclaims, “today gold is almost the only really valuable asset left on the SNB’s balance sheet.” The SNB, however, is concerned at, “the monetary policy implications of the demands in the initiative.” A date for the referendum has not yet been set – but the FT notes that previous ‘referenda’ have taken up to several years from acceptance to actual vote.

Via The FT,

Switzerland is to hold a referendum on a popular measure that would ban the central bank from selling its gold reserves and force it to keep at least 20 per cent of its assets in the metal.

Under the terms of “Save our Swiss Gold”, which is led by members of the ultra-conservative Swiss People’s party, the Swiss National Bank would have to repatriate gold reserves held abroad and keep them at home.

Government’s Opinion Of You, In Thirteen Words

I AM THE SENATOR. YOU ARE THE CITIZEN. YOU SHOULD BE QUIET.

Rarely has a legislator expressed what he thinks of the public with such eloquence and brevity as Republican Tommy Tucker, Chairman of the North Carolina Senate’s State and Local Government Committee.

So honestly.

So powerfully.

Challenged by a reporter to record a voice vote on a bill that would allow city and county governments to post public notices, traditionally published in newspapers, in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying ‘Beware of the Leopard‘  solely on government websites, so that the Committee’s members would have to own up to their votes, how did Tucker respond?

I AM THE SENATOR.

YOU ARE THE CITIZEN.

YOU NEED TO BE QUIET.

Words fit to be engraved on a plaque, adorning a bronze statue of Tommy Tucker.

The Two Enemies That Are Working To Enslave Us …

I was raking leaves, mold and weeds out of a flower garden this morning and had time to reflect upon the struggle between order and entropy, between civilization and decay.

Progressivism (liberalism, communism … just synonyms) and Islam are both manifestations of pre-civilized cultures that cloak themselves in false Righteousness.

Neither flourishes without a pre-existing and prosperous civilization that they can conquer and plunder.

One strives to recreate a medieval militant welfare state where the serfs are equally dependent and destitute, ruled by elite, where individualism must submit to the collective.

The other strives to recreate a 7th century theocracy of expanding conquest, where terror tactics are valued tools of jihad against infidels, where peace is equated to submission.

From the perspective of a free man, there is no practical difference between the two.

Each ideology harbors a tacit delusion that their people can win the end-game when they must eventually fight to conquer each other.

These ideologies are allies in the struggle to kill the Lockean experiment in which free men exist in liberty upon the earth.

We who embrace the tenets of the Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights are advocates of a philosophy of order, civilization and prosperity. 

Those who embrace Progressivism and Islam advocate entropy and decay.

To preserve individual sovereignty over our lives, liberty and property (Rightful Liberty), both Progressivism and Islam must be exterminated … black and white … good vs evil.

The extermination of Progressivism and Islam by free men will not be act of aggression or the initiation of force.  It will be: 

  • a legitimate response to threats on Rightful Liberty
  • the retaliatory use of Force against an aggressor
  • a coordinated exercise in Self-Defense

There is no alternative.

Counter Revolution: Enumerated Powers

Some, who have not denied the necessity of the power of taxation, have grounded a very fierce attack against the Constitution, on the language in which it is defined. It has been urged and echoed, that the power “to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts, and excises, to pay the debts, and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States,” amounts to an unlimited commission to exercise every power which may be alleged to be necessary for the common defense or general welfare. No stronger proof could be given of the distress under which these writers labor for objections, than their stooping to such a misconstruction.

Strange words for most people. An argument limiting the scope of the Constitution to Article I, Section 8. Since the source of this information is from James Madison as he wrote in Federalist Paper 41, it also is part of our nation’s law. Unfortunately, few people know this and Congress uses our ignorance to expand their power.  Even more egregious, the Supreme Court knows this which is why justice Roberts made the affordable health care legislation a tax.

I have included the complete text for Federalist Paper 41 below. I would suggest that people forward it to their respective Congressmen but I doubt that they would be able to comprehend it.

When I asked Rep. David Price under what authority was health care legislation Constitutional, he replied “the general welfare” clause. When I pointed out that Federalist Paper 41 invalidated his response, he became petulant and said that I must also be against Social Security. On one of our past protests in Washington, a representative was questioned on the Federalist Papers. The representative had never heard of them.

If the government does not obey the rule of law, we still have a government but it is not the one that we were given at a such a high price. T.L. Davis is correct, our government has been overthrown: their revolution overturning the Constitution is complete. Our efforts are no longer Restoration of the Constitution: they must become a counter revolution to take back our government from these usurpers.

The Tsarnaev brothers were double agents who decoyed US into terror trap

His brother Dzhokhar capturedThe big questions buzzing over Boston Bombers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev have a single answer: It emerged in the 102 tense hours between the twin Boston Marathon bombings Monday, April 15 – which left three dead, 180 injured and a police officer killed at MIT – and Dzohkhar’s capture Friday, April 19 in Watertown.

The conclusion reached by DEBKAfile’s counterterrorism and intelligence sources is that the brothers were double agents, hired by US and Saudi intelligence to penetrate the Wahhabi jihadist networks which, helped by Saudi financial institutions, had spread across the restive Russian Caucasian.

Instead, the two former Chechens betrayed their mission and went secretly over to the radical Islamist networks.

By this tortuous path, the brothers earned the dubious distinction of being the first terrorist operatives to import al Qaeda terror to the United States through a winding route outside the Middle East – the Caucasus.

This broad region encompasses the autonomous or semi-autonomous Muslim republics of Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Chechnya, North Ossetia and Karachyevo-Cherkesiya, most of which the West has never heard of.

Moscow however keeps these republics on a tight military and intelligence leash, constantly putting down violent resistance by the Wahhabist cells, which draw support from certain Saudi sources and funds from the Riyadh government for building Wahhabist mosques and schools to disseminate the state religion of Saudi Arabia.
