Putting Some Teeth in the Tribe: What Do We Need To Be Able To Do?

Fightin' Lizards

Alright – a new topic (here anyway)  and a lot to write about. Now we’re going to start digging into the process of actually building usable fighting skills and knowledge among your tribe members.  The next few entries are going to attempt to impart upon you some basic realities you’ll be dealing with along with some nice simple tips to use when establishing your security force.  To set the record straight right now I’m going to be referring to what I call a “Rural Defense Force” (RDF) throughout this series.  That is simply the defensive element of your tribe.  The folks that actually defend the area.

This entry is going to deal with defining operational capabilities and using a simple training methodology.  Operational capabilities are the tasks that you need/want to be able to execute.   I.e. do you want to establish roadblocks, conduct ambushes, raids, deliberate defenses, etc?   You need to sit down and conceptualize what tasks your RDF will have to accomplish.  This is how you focus your training as your efforts need to be geared towards supporting these capabilities.  For the .mil guys out there this is what we used to refer to as a developing a Mission Essential Task List (METL) along with associated drills but we’re going to go through this without the luxury of having higher echelon tasks and directives to work this out. Basically we’re going to build a list of tactical tasks that we identify are critical to the defense of our tribal area.  The difference here is normally a METL goes no lower than a Company but unless you’re really fortunate chances are you won’t have the kind of strength.  So I’m going to make another convention at this point – when I refer to METL what I am actually using are more akin to ARTEP battle drills for a Platoon and Squad sized element.  Training methodology is simply the way we’re going to train.

Gold Buying Frenzy Continues: China, Japan, And Australia Scramble For Physical

We noted here that the plunge in the paper price of gold (and silver) had prompted considerable renewed demand for physical and now it seems the scramble among the “more stable investor base” is increasing. The shake out of ETFs and futures has left the Australian mint short of deliverables and Japanese and Chinese gold retailers seeing a “frenzied” surge in demand. The customers are not just the ‘rich’ or ‘elderly’; in China “they tend to wear water shoes and come directly from the market…;” in Australia, “the volume of business… is way in excess of double what we did last week,… there’s been people running through the gate,” and Japanese individual investors doubled gold purchases yesterday at Tokuriki Honten, the country’s second-largest retailer of the precious metal. The panic selling by a weaker ‘imminent inflation-based’ investor base has sparked physical shortages – “there’s been significant sales made as people see this as great value.” It seems our previous discussions of a rotation from paper to physical were correct and this physical demand will eventually leak back into the paper markets.

India’s Response To The Gold Sell Off: A Massive Buying Frenzy

Panic, depression, rage, suicidal ideations: watching the US mainstream media, one would think that these are the prevailing sentiments among those who unlike the prevailing “developed world” speculative class, are invested most heavily in physical old – Indians, who collectively comprise the largest end-demand consumer segment for gold products. One would be very wrong.

Because while apparently it is incomprehensible to the “sophisticated” financial crowd in the US that someone may have conviction in their beliefs, and not just lunge from extreme to another, merely riding momentum and technicals like so many “professional” investors, Indians are doing precisely what a buyer should do when the price of the desired product plunges: doubling down, literally.

Bloomberg reports of the immediate aftermath to the past few days’ gold plunge: “Gold buyers in India, the world’s biggest consumer, are flocking to stores to buy jewelry and coins, betting a selloff that plunged bullion to a two-year low may be overdone.” Wait, so instead of jumping out off high buildings, Indians are being cool, calm and collected and… buying more? Unpossible. Do they not get CNBC in Mumbai? Apparently not: “My daughter is just six months old, but I think it is never too early to buy gold,” said Sharmila Shirodkar, a 28- year-old housewife, while displaying a new pair of earrings she bought from a store in Mumbai’s Zaveri Bazaar. “I had been asking my husband every day if prices will go down more. I couldn’t wait anymore.”

Indeed – the buying frenzy in India has been unleashed:

Boehner’s hand forced on Benghazi

Speaker John Boehner is trying to head off a GOP rebellion over his handling of the investigation into last year’s fatal attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, by releasing an interim report of evidence by his panel chairmen.

Boehner, an Ohio Republican, told lawmakers Tuesday that the heads of the Oversight, Foreign Affairs, Armed Services, Intelligence and Judiciary committees will issue a joint report next week, The Hill has learned.

A growing number of lawmakers – 101 so far – have signed on to a resolution from Rep. Frank Wolf (R-Va.) demanding that the House create a 19-member select committee to look into the attack that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans on Sept. 11, 2012.

Boehner and the panel leaders, none of whom have joined Wolf’s resolution, say a select committee would be expensive and time-consuming to create. Wolf is not on any of the committees of jurisdiction.

‘Indisputable’ that US engaged in torture, Washington watchdog says

Protestors demonstrate the use of water boarding

The Constitution Project has issued a finding that the George Bush administration was engaged in torture as report by the UK Telegraph. What is the goal of this organization:

Created out of the belief that we must cast aside the labels that divide us in order to keep our democracy strong, The Constitution Project brings together policy experts and legal practitioners from across the political spectrum to foster consensus-based solutions to the most difficult constitutional challenges of our time.

Something to consider:

An organization called “The Constitution Project” should know that our country is a representative republic, not a democracy.

Two opinions on democracy from John Adams and Benjamin Franklin: Continue reading

Why Sell A Very Profitable Business?

What does Cerberus know? Why would they put the Freedom Group up for sale when demand is insatiable? Ammunition and firearms are both selling at a premium. Possibilities?

1. They want to make the world a better place without firearms. Not likely with the George Soros connection.

2. They are afraid of future liability. Not likely under the 2nd amendment unless the Constitution is about to replaced.

3. They need to make less money. Not likely with the George Soros connection.

So they must know something that we do not. New government regulations or taxes? Restrictive gun control legislation that will cripple future earnings? Part of a government conspiracy to disarm the people. Just another piece to the new world order puzzle unfolding before our eyes?

Cerberus founder explores bid for Bushmaster gunmaker

Private equity mogul Stephen Feinberg is exploring a bid for Freedom Group, the Bushmaster rifle manufacturer that his firm, Cerberus Capital Management LP, put up for sale after one of its guns was used in a Connecticut school shooting late last year, three people familiar with the situation said on Tuesday.

Feinberg, along with other senior Cerberus partners, is putting together a consortium to make a “stalking horse” offer, or the floor bid, for Freedom Group, the sources said.

Al Qaida Style Bombs Used At Boston Marathon

Al-Shabaab members in Somalia(USA Today)  Instructions to make bombs out of pressure cookers similar to those believed the source of two explosions in Boston on Monday were published two years ago in Inspire, an online magazine tied to al-Qaeda and the late U.S.-born cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, an analysis of the magazine shows.

The article, “How to Make a Bomb in the Kitchen of Your Mom,” by “the AQ Chef” instructed would-be bombers to glue shrapnel to the inside of a pressure cooker and then “fill in the cooker with the inflammable material.”

Would-be bombers, the article said, should use gloves to prevent their fingerprints from being found on the bomb fragments and to “put you [sic] faith in Allah and pray for the success of your operation.”

The summer 2010 issue of Inspire featured several articles on what it called “the open-source Jihad,” which instructed readers on how to make their own terrorist materials.

~~~~~NNNNN~~~~~
So when FED.GOV says “be sensitive to muslims in this time of distress”…now you know why.  Mounting evidence points to the fact that we have experienced another act of terror by those who observe ‘Jihad’ as a religious duty.  Al Qaida is also know to have been experimenting with Ricin (and here), the poison discovered in several envelopes mailed to members of the US Congress today.
FORCE MAJEURE WAS THE END GAME ALL ALONG, COMEX WILL DEFAULT IN THE NEXT WEEK!
EmptyVault
The COMEX will default in the next week or several weeks and people will be “settled” with Dollars, no more metal will be delivered!  So, knowing that “game over” has arrived, they are dumping a massive volume of  paper contracts with impunity to push the metals prices as low as possible before the “default”.  This way the “shorts” do not have to and will not be “covered” when “supply” cannot be obtained because of “an act of God”.  They will be settled in cash (at a profit no less) because these “unforeseen” disruptions in supply.  “Who could have seen it coming?” will be the mantra.  I would suspect that banking stress and “bail ins” will also become prevalent globally.  The pricing structure” will now push any and all physical sellers away from the markets and the “door” to safety is effectively being shut.  Either you own metal or you don’t.
After the closure of the COMEX and LBMA doors there will be no availability and “price” will be meaningless.  Your ability to protect yourself is right now for all intents and purposes being eliminated.
“Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one.”
Benjamin Franklin
All MSM implying “We need to give up Rights for Safety and Security” after Boston
I have listened to some MSM broadcasting of the Boston bombs.   From Fox News, NBC, CNN, they all are implying “We need to give up our Freedoms for Security.”
Fox news had a man on saying that Israel is safe because of the security and the people in the U.S. are holding on to “individual rights” instead of being safe and secure.  He said a conversation will need to be started.  They were implying it was “Patriots” over and over yesterday and home grown terrorism.  Wolf Blitzer of CNN wondered if “Patriots had anything to do with it?”  They repeated “Patriot day” over and over again during that segment.  I understand Biden even said “I believe it may be ‘Patriots’ against any gun control.”  They are trying to equate being a Patriot is being a terrorist now in the sheeples eyes.
Smoke and Mirrors to Limit the 2nd Amendment
Isn’t this how we continue to lose our freedom. The left attacks our Liberty and the right gives in to appease them. Consistently. Over time. Until we are enslaved. There should be no compromise on the 2nd amendment. Our Congressmen took an oath to uphold the Constitution, not slice it up a piece at a time like a piece of bologna:
“Compromise, hell! That’s what has happened to us all down the line — and that’s the very cause of our woes. If freedom is right and tyranny is wrong, why should those who believe in freedom treat it as if it were a roll of bologna to be bartered a slice at a time?”
– US Senator Jesse Helms
Which proves that these Congressmen do not believe in freedom. At least not our freedom.
I will give credit to Richard Burr (R-NC) for trying to protect the second amendment rights of veterans in this amendment of the Toomey-Manchin bill. But let’s think about that: why do we have to protect the rights of our soldiers to bear arms? Could it be that they are afraid that our soldiers will defend the Constitution against domestic enemies otherwise known as our federal government?
That must be why Obama did not allow US Marines to have bolts in their rifles at his inaugural parade.
Remove and Replace
Senate Republicans are preparing a substitute to the background check legislation crafted by Sens. Pat Toomey (R., Pa.) and Joe Manchin (D., W.V.), the Washington Free Beacon has learned.
The Democrat-controlled Senate is set to begin consideration of the Manchin/Toomey amendment Thursday, but a group of GOP senators has quietly drafted a replacement amendment, titled the “Protecting Communities and Preserving the Second Amendment Act of 2013.”
Sens. Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa), Ted Cruz (R., Texas), Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.), John Thune (R., S.D.), Kelly Ayotte (R., N.H.), and John Hoeven (R., N.D.) are sponsoring the bill.
US Surgeon General is a ProLife Hypocrite
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=moQ0dk-Mv_0
I’ve heard ad nauseum US Surgeon General Regina Benjamin’s public service announcement regarding pregnancy and premature baby health.
Dr. Benjamin states in her message that “we must do better” in order to have “healthier babies” that are born at full-term.
It’s disgusting to me however that this surgeon general, appointed by President Obama, would preach of the toll that premature births have on our nation while being  a PRO ABORTION advocate.
