GRNC Alert 4-12-13: Senators Hagan and Burr Stab NC Gun Owners in Back

Both Sen. Hagan and Burr joined to support the Obama/Biden/Feinstein gun ban

Misguided US Senate gun control proposals could have been quickly killed during Thursday’s vote to proceed, if not for 13 “sell-out” Republicans who cut unknown deals with Harry Reid (D-AZ). Both of our Senators voted to subject our Second Amendment rights to infringement. This is unacceptable, and they both must pay.

It was perhaps expected from Hagan given her GRNC 0-star rating, but Burr’s betrayal is unforgivable. As late as Wednesday, April 10th he had pledged to join patriots like Senators Paul and Cruz in filibustering the motion to proceed. The fact the very next day he voted in favor MAKES IT CLEAR Burr has LIED to NC voters and cannot be trusted to defend our fundamental liberties.

They both may claim they “want debate” and that they don’t intend to vote for the bill, and that there are opportunities to filibuster later. Don’t buy it. There is nothing good that can come from this bad bill remaining alive a second longer than it has to. It is now possible to use this bill as a “vehicle” for unknown amendments that will be introduced – including Feinstein’s modern rifle ban. The entire federal gun control effort could have been over today and the threat behind us. Instead, now we must watch the Senate’s every move as “must pass before we know what’s in it” amendments are introduced.

Both Burr and Hagan need to understand that IF ANY gun control restrictions are passed as a result of their betrayal THEY WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE!

IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED!

  • Contact Sen. Hagan and Sen. Burr. Tell them you don’t appreciate being lied to. They have betrayed your trust and have much to do in order to regain it – including opposing any and all progress of any element of this misguided legislation.

US raises nuclear alert to DEFCON 3. China mobilizes, masses troops on North Korean border

Friday, April 12, the US raised its nuclear alert status to DEFCON 3, Condition Yellow (out of 5 levels), stating “There are currently no imminent nuclear threats against the United States at this time, however the situation is considered fluid and can change rapidly.” Many believe that North Korea will launch their test missile on or about April 15. Japan has instructed its armed forces to shoot down any North Korean missile that heads toward its territory.

Contrary to comments from the White House Thursday, the Pentagon reported that “North Korea probably has nuclear weapons that can be mounted on ballistic missiles.” This is a very significant admission by the United States and a dangerous change to the Korean situation.

China has mobilized its military and is massing near the border with North Korea. This step was taken after North Korea placed a mid-range Musudan missile ready to launch on its east coast and its “dedication of more facilities at the Yongbon complex to nuclear weapons work.”

According to some sources in Washington, the Chinese military mobilization is not directed at deterring Pyongyang but as support for North Korea’s steps.
Late Thursday, Representative Doug Lamborn, a Colorado Republican, made a disquieting disclosure. He quoted an excerpt from a Defense Intelligence Agency report expressing “moderate confidence” in the finding that North Korea has nuclear weapons capable of delivery by ballistic missiles whose “reliability will be low.”

Retail Sales Unexpectedly Decrease in March

shopping, retail, consumers, retail store, department store

U.S. retail sales contracted in March for the second time in three months, a sign the American economy may have stumbled at the end of the first quarter.

Retail sales fell 0.4% during the month, the Commerce Department said on Friday. That was below analysts’ expectations that sales would be flat.

Readings for retail sales have been volatile so far this year, making it difficult to know whether the weakness in March was due to a tax hike that went into effect at the start of the year or to temporary factors related to the weather.

Bill Whittle – Reflections of Disaster

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0hKMXW7tQo

From YouTube:

Tensions continue to rise on the Korean peninsula. Bill Whittle wonders why a poverty stricken totalitarian state like North Korea is setting the terms of debate, and not President Obama. Could the problem be that Obama and his security team fail to properly understand Kim Jong-un and his Stalinist regime? Is President Obama bumbling his way towards nuclear war?

Investors are back with a vengeance

Investors are back!

Investors have been rushing off the sidelines this year and show no signs of letting up.

So far, they’ve pumped more than $60 billion into mutual funds and ETFs that hold U.S. stocks, according to research firm TrimTabs.

That’s already more than any full calendar year since 2004. And if the pace keeps up, this year’s inflow would be the largest since 2000.

Investors dove right in at the start of the year, pouring more than $30 billion into U.S. stocks in January, but inflows in February were barely positive.

Gadsden Flag Banned for Being a Symbol of the Tea Party

Tread

The removal of the Gadsden flag in New Rochelle, New York for being the symbol of the Tea Party should be viewed as a victory for Liberty. Whatever the reason(s) for its banishment, it shows that the Liberty movement is instilling fear in our politicians. But not our military who is fighting back in court (for now). Let’s add the Gadsden flag to the list of our historical treasures that are being vilified for supporting our founding principles: like the Constitution.

David DeGerolamo

Banished! Historic ‘Don’t Tread On Me’ flag

The city of New Rochelle, N.Y., has removed the historic Gadsden “Don’t Tread On Me” flag from a military armory, deeming the flag “too partisan” because it often is used by the tea party movement.

And in response, veterans groups have tapped the Thomas More Law Center to take up the fight.

It was after an official ceremony on March 21 at the New Rochelle Armory that a new American flag was unfurled to replace the previous weathered flag that flew at the location. Beneath the new American flag, the yellow Gadsden Flag was flown, as is common tradition on many military sites.

However, within a week of the ceremony, City Manager Chuck Strome ordered the Gadsden flag be taken down because of “unidentified complaints” that the flag was a symbol of the tea party movement.

Comex Gold Inventories Collapse By Largest Amount Ever On Record

A stunning piece of information was brought to my attention yesterday. Amid all the mainstream talk of the end of the gold bull market (and the end of the gold mining industry), something has been discretely happening behind the scenes.

Over the last 90 days without any announcement, stocks of gold held at Comex warehouses plunged by the largest figure ever on record during a single quarter since eligible record keeping began in 2001 (roughly the beginning of the bull market). See chart below.

Why Are The Banksters Telling Us To Sell Our Gold When They Are Hoarding Gold Like Crazy?

Why Are The Banksters Telling Us To Sell Our Gold When They Are Hoarding Gold Like Crazy? The big banks are breathlessly proclaiming that now is the time to sell your gold.  They are warning that we have now entered a “bear market” for gold and that the price of gold will continue to decline for the rest of the year.  So should we believe them?  Well, their warnings might be more credible if the central banks of the world were not hoarding gold like crazy.  During 2012, central bank gold buying was at the highest level that we have seen in almost 50 years.  Meanwhile, insider buying of gold stocks has now reached multi-year highs and the U.S. Mint cannot even keep up with the insatiable demand for silver eagle coins.  So what in the world is actually going on here?  Right now, the central banks of the world are indulging in a money printing binge that reminds many of what happened during the early days of the Weimar Republic.  When you flood the financial system with paper money, that is eventually going to cause the prices for hard assets to go up dramatically.  Could it be possible that the banksters are trying to drive down the price of both gold and silver so that they can gobble it up cheaply?  Do they want to be the ones sitting on all of the “real money” once the paper money bubble that we are living in finally bursts?

The following article was written in 1996. The consequences of the  “exuberance” of the stock market was seen a short period later at the dot com bubble burst. Then the tragedy of 9/11, the bank bailout, mortgage bailout and now today, we have the open manipulation by banks and the Federal Reserve. You have two choices:

1. Learn from history and get out of the 1’s and 0’s.

2. Jump back in before it is too late as outlined in this article: Crash Indicator: Mom and Pop Take the Plunge Back Into Stocks For Fear of “Being Left on the Sidelines”.

The decision on who will end up with your money and assets is up to you if you “want to play a game”.

Silence of the Lambs in America – Doug Hagmann

As Americans, we are witnessing the systematic dismantling of our country by the incremental erosion of our liberties and rights by methods that are shaking the very foundations upon which this country was founded. We’ve seen this before, as history is filled with examples of our current predicament; but somehow, today, things seem different to those who are paying attention. In many ways, things are indeed different, yet it is fitting to cite what was written long ago: “The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”

Today’s headlines proclaim that those of us who cherish the rights bestowed upon us by our Creator are now considered to be terrorists. This is the result of the cancer of moral and cultural degradation that we have allowed to take root in the very soil stained with the blood of our forefathers. The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children. What are we going to tell our children and grandchildren about what we’ve done to stop the metastasis of tyranny?

The lost art of “Cut Shells”

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3M46XVfVOU

From YouTube:

Also known as “Cut Slugs”, these effective yet surprisingly simple alternative shotgun munitions were once used in the early 1900’s when deer stopping loads were needed but not always available. You can turn a simple bird shot load into a man or game stopping “slug” with a quick turn of a knife.

George Zimmerman: One Year Later

One year after the arrest of George Zimmerman, the media coverage of this incident is minimal or rather nonexistent. Is it because the case against Mr. Zimmerman is lacking any merit? The trial is set for June: just when the weather will start to heat up.

How about a prediction? George Zimmerman will be found not guilty due to the evidence showing that Trayvon was beating him up as his injuries clearly show. A waste of taxpayer money, a miscarriage of justice for Mr. Zimmerman and another indictment of a president who declared that his son would be like Trayvon.

Zimmerman’s mother pens letter to public on anniversary of son’s arrest

On the one-year anniversary of her son’s arrest, George Zimmerman‘s mother released a letter to the bemoaning the justice system and criticizing the media for perpetuating a “false narrative.”

The letter marks a significant departure for Gladys Zimmerman, who has remained largely out of the sight since the Feb. 26, 2012 shooting in Sanford. The family went into hiding after the story broke.

She dubbed her son’s arrest as the day “the justice system failed us as Americans” saying he was put in handcuffs to placate a public manipulated by Trayvon Martin’s family lawyer Benjamin Crump.

Little evidence, she said, substantiates murder charges against her son. Instead, George Zimmerman’s self-defense claim has withstood the barrage of media reports attacking it.

“From the beginning, this case has been heavily publicized and a false narrative was developed surrounding a very real tragedy when there was little evidence available to the public,” Gladys Zimmerman wrote, adding that the days following the arrest were “particularly disheartening.”

The Counter Revolution – T.L. Davis

TLDavisThere is nothing left to wait for. The Feds have made their moves already and where federal legislation may not work, they have gone into the states, Missouri for example. They are coming every day in every state in different ways.

The revolution from individual freedom and personal responsibility has taken place. The ideals of liberty are gone. The concept of collectivism has permeated everything that was America and destroyed it.

The wiser of us will caution you against action toward the despostic forces of gun legislation, but keep in mind, the Second Amendment is not all that they are violating. Every single right is under siege. The only rights left are those we are willing to die to protect.
