Crying Wolf?

Another Doom and Gloom story or a statistical probability? Speculation concerning “the end of the world as we know it” is rampant. Sentient people look at economic and geopolitical data to make their conclusions.  Dr. Jim Willie presents a very real possibility below; but it is still speculation.

The Federal Reserve has sent $100 billion US to European banks just last week. Obviously their banks and central banks are in trouble. As are our banks. Waiting is hard. Listening to people cry wolf makes it harder. Not because you don’t believe their warnings but because “the powers that be” have managed to stave off the collapse as they fill their personal treasuries and armories.

I prefer to be a watchman on the wall.

JIM WILLIE: THE COLLAPSE IS AT OUR DOORSTEP!

Willie states that a global financial collapse is now at our doorstep, and that the endgame will be triggered by a small-medium sized bank failure in Europe.

Willie informs SD readers that the coming European bust will ignite a global Gold rush as the only remaining safe haven, will see an end to the reserve status of the US dollar, and will result in the arrival of the Gold Trade Finance platforms.

Willie also discusses The Fed’s futile attempts to re-inflate the housing bubble, and the series of climax events that will bring a breath-taking global financial collapse to our doorstep!

Cruz Will Use ‘Any Procedural Means Necessary’ to Force Vote on Defunding Obamacare

When the U.S. Senate this week takes up the continuing resolution to fund the federal government for the remainder of fiscal year 2013, Sen. Ted Cruz (R.-Texas) will offer an amendment that will prohibit funding for the implementation of Obamacare during that period.

“I believe we will have a vote on this amendment and I have said I am willing to employ any procedural means necessary to ensure that we do get a vote on the amendment,” Cruz told reporters today.

“No Hesitation” Regarding Schakowsky …

A recent post on Breitbart indicates the depth of evil and deception within the gun control advocates:

“We want everything on the table,” Schakowsky told Mattera. “This is a moment of opportunity. There’s no question about it.”

One poignant exchange was as follows:

Schakowsky: We’re on a roll now, and I think we’ve got to take the–you know, we’re gonna push as hard as we can and as far as we can.

Mattera: So the assault weapons ban is just the beginning?

Schakowsky: Oh absolutely. I mean, I’m against handguns. We have, in Illinois, the Council Against Handgun… something [Violence]. Yeah, I’m a member of that. So, absolutely.

In another exchange, Schakowsky proposed allowances for states and municipalities to ban guns–though such laws have been repeatedly rejected by the Supreme Court:

Complacency At An All-Time High – Market-Ticker

The DOW hit “all-time new highs” all last week.

Isn’t it redundant — and stupid — to use “all time” and “new” in the same phrase?

Yes, it is — and about as stupid as believing in this “rally”.

The facts are that last night Japanese machinery orders fell 13% in January, despite the Japanese government pledging to “beat deflation” with new monetary operations (read: printing money) that has driven the Yen weaker by some 20% in the last couple of months.  That move started in December and as such should have been reflected in January’s order figures — if anyone believed it in Japanese business.

They clearly don’t.

Then there’s China.  They have a major property bubble problem, which is what always comes when you start printing cheap “money” (really credit) and allowing it to go into the real estate market.  In China’s case it’s built to the point of literal cities with nobody living in them.  That will eventually burst, and when it does you’ve got trouble.  China has the “luxury” of having an effective command economy since they’re a communist nation, but even that won’t change the laws of mathematics.

Finally we have Europe.  It’s a basket case.  Europe has failed to deal with its banks, it has failed to deal with its budget deficits and it is still trying to find a way to “pull forward demand” to fill fiscal holes.  It’s not working because it can’t — the leverage was never taken out.  Not there and not here.

D.C. to Beijing: Stand Down on Cyber – Bill Gertz

Tom Donilon and then-Vice President of China Xi Jinping July 2012 / AP

Tom Donilon and then-Vice President of China Xi Jinping July 2012 / AP

Under pressure from American industry to curb Chinese cyber attacks, White House national security adviser Thomas Donilon warned China on Monday that the United States will defend its computer networks from the attacks.

Donilon said U.S. businesses share serious concerns “about sophisticated, targeted theft of confidential business information, and proprietary technologies through cyber intrusions emanating from China on an unprecedented scale,” in a speech on Asia.

“The international community cannot afford to tolerate such activity from any country,” he told a meeting of the Asia Society in New York. “As the president said in the state of the union, we will take action to protect our economy against cyber-threats.”

The remarks were the administration’s first public acknowledgement of China’s large-scale computer hacking that has involved government entities, including military cyberwarfare units. Administration officials previously avoided criticizing Beijing for the hacking that has included theft of both government and defense secrets and proprietary corporate data stolen by hackers who broke into computer networks.

Unintended Consequences bite when you least expect.

The recent Commierado House and Senatorial hearings on the proposed anti-gun, anti self-defense, anti-2nd Amendment bills were rigged to prevent a proper amount of time for public input by ramming all the bills through in a single day.

Then yesterday it was revealed that they threatened Colorado Sheriff’s if they continued to testify against these bills.

They brought in an Arizona resident, Astronaut Mark Kelly (Gabby Giffords’ husband), to testify in favor of these gun bills. Then it was revealed that he purchased one of these ‘evil black rifles’ for himself, the day after testifying in Commierado.

The hypocrisy on the left knows no shame.

People see it and people are pissed!

Surviving the coming collapse – Doug Hagmann

Understanding what’s coming

Based on my investigation, numerous interviews and hours upon hours of extensive research, one thing appears to be certain. The collapse of the U.S. dollar is a mathematical certainty, it merely a question of when. No one seems able to answer the timing aspect of such an event, although they all comfortably believe it will be sometime within the next 18-24 months at the “outside.” Quietly, however, they have murmured that they don’t think we have that much time.

Perhaps most important of all is the fact that a dollar collapse will have global ramifications. Simply put, it will bring down the entire economy of the world, so there won’t be anyplace to run to escape. Some places and areas will fare better than others, but it will still affect every civilized country on the planet.

Also of critical importance is the understanding that this is an “engineered” collapse, one that is designed to introduce a single global currency. (You know, the belief that has been identified as a domestic terror threat by DHS standards). It is unlikely that this global currency or economic reset will be instantaneous, however. There will exist a period of extreme chaos, uncertainty, and a level of suffering that has been never before seen. It is for this period that we must prepare.

There will be “bank runs” as people try to get their money out of their accounts before the digital figures present in your account – the balances you check frequently – disappear. As the economy of the world reels from this unprecedented event, chaos will become the norm as the unprepared will be panic buying, looting and pillaging. As days turn into weeks and perhaps months, people will be hungry and desperate. Essential services will suffer, and the very things we all take for granted will be strained until broken. Martial Law will become a reality to quell the angry masses who have been victimized by this controlled demolition of our economy. While some areas will fare better than others, no one will escape unscathed except the elite architects of this plan.

Perhaps this might explain the questions and controversy surrounding the bulk ammunition purchases by the U.S. DHS and other federal agencies, the para-militarization of state, county and local police, and military movements within the United States.

How to prepare?

A National Disgrace – Land of the Free Becomes Land of the Enslaved

The federal government’s plan to enslave people by making them dependent on the state is reaching new highs based on the people receiving EBT stipends. The hope and change mantra of the Obama regime has been ridiculed with different variations but the net effect is the same: faith and personal responsibility is quickly being displaced by dependence on the state and falsely perceived “rights”.

How long will this last? That seems to be the question on everyone’s mind who is trying to believe in a system that has become too big and corrupt not to fail. I thank God for the extra time that we have been given to prepare for the future. God help the ants when they realize the food is no longer forthcoming. God bless the grasshoppers who will respond with Christian charity whenever possible.

Foodstamp Recipients Hit Record, Alongside Record Dow Jones And Record Debt: 20% Of Eligible Americans On EBT

Record Dow Jones, record US debt ($16,701,846,937,879.74), and now, once more, record number of Americans on foodstamps. According to the USDA, an all time high of 47,791,966 Americans closed 2012 in possession of the highly desired Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card, managed by who else but JPMorgan. And with a civilian non-institutional population of 244.4 million in December, this means that a record 19.56% of eligible Americans are on Foodstamps.

Strike 1 Against New York Tyrants Bloomberg and Cuomo

Michael Bloomberg

Is New York returning to sanity? After an all out assault on people’s choices by Bloomberg, a judge has invalidated the soda ban. Next up is the gun control legislation by Cuomo.

David DeGerolamo

JUDGE REBUKES BLOOMBERG: Says The NYC Soda Ban Is Illegal

A judge has invalidated New York City’s soda ban, saying that the limits on sugary drinks are not legal, according to CNBC.

“A state judge has blocked New York City from moving forward with Mayor Bloomberg’s large sugary drink ban, a major defeat for the mayor,” tweets Wall Street Journal City Hall reporter Michael Howard Saul.

Bloomberg’s new sugary drink regulations are “fraught with arbitrary and capricious consequences,” the judge wrote, according to the WSJ. “The simple reading of the rule leads to the earlier acknowledged uneven enforcement even within a particular city block, much less the city as a whole … the loopholes in this rule effectively defeat the state purpose of the rule.”

Four new bills from the political elite in the Land of the Free

Freedom is running out

It’s a pretty sad state of affairs in the Land of the Free when they have to pass a law making it illegal for the government to assassinate its own citizens.

Yet that’s exactly what’s happening.

Late last week, US Senator Ted Cruz introduced Senate bill S.505, “A bill to prohibit the use of drones to kill citizens of the United States within the United States.”

More than likely, this bill isn’t going to go anywhere. It’ll get shuffled around to various committees and be largely forgotten. But the fact that it was introduced shows just how far things have fallen in the US.

Hundreds of UN Syrian Golan UN observers scramble to safety in Israel

UN observers take refuge in Israel in Golan dawn

UN observers take refuge in Israel in Golan dawn

The flight of hundreds of UN Disengagement and Observers Force (UNDOF) soldiers – Indian, Austrian and Filipino – in trucks and APCs from the Syrian side of Golan into Israel was in full swing early Monday, March 11. DEBKAfile quotes them as telling Israeli officers manning the Israeli side of the enclave that their commanders urged them to get out when they could because “We can no longer vouch for your safety.”

Many more UN troops are expected to make their way during the day to refuge in IDF camps across the border. Their officers, they said, had already placed their belongings aboard waiting vehicles ready to move across as soon as they received permission from their governments in Vienna, New Delhi and Manila or the UN Secretariat in New York.

Our military sources report that this mass exit signals the breakup of the 1,000-strong UNDOF which for 39 years manned the 8 sq. km separation zone between Syria and Israel. It was set up in 1974 to end the war of attrition fought in the sequel to the Yom Kippur War between the IDF and Cuban armored brigades flown in from Angola by the Soviet Union to support the Syrian army.
The UN force’s collapse began with the Croatian government’s recall of its 100 troops last week.

As the peacemakers flee, Russia is today hardly likely to interfere with who gets to control the Golan separation zone which was split between Syria and Israel.
DEBKAfile reports three potential candidates are eying the sliver of land for different reasons:
