Venezuela Launches First Nuke In Currency Wars, Devalues Currency By 46%

While the rest of the developed world is scrambling here and there, politely prodding its central bankers to destroy their relative currencies, all the while naming said devaluation assorted names, “quantitative easing” being the most popular, here comes Venezuela and shows the banana republics of the developed world what lobbing a nuclear bomb into a currency war knife fight looks like:

  • VENEZUELA DEVALUES FROM 4.30 TO 6.30 BOLIVARS
  • VENEZUELA NEW CURRENCY BODY TO MANAGE DOLLAR INFLOWS
  • CARACAS CONSUMER PRICES ROSE 3.3% IN JAN.
  • And that, ladies and gents of Caracas, is how you just lost 46% of your purchasing power, unless of course your fiat was in gold and silver, which just jumped by about 46%. And, in case there is confusion, this is in process, and coming soon to every “developed world” banana republic near you.

Come Out of Her, My People …

The United States plays ‘god’ …

Economic collapse coming to the United States …

Murder in the name of the United States …

Wealth illusion in the United States …

The United States – a ‘police state’…

Imperial lawlessness in the name of the United States …

Globalizing torture, in the name of the United States …

The United States – land of the free … Yeah, right

The last best hope we have for protecting our loved ones while still doing so peacefully is to simply stop supporting ‘the system’. Stop spending what little money we have left with the big corporations – buy local, buy from mom and pop. Stop supporting industrial medicine – seek out natural, homeopathic, and nutritional remedies. Stop supporting big pharma – NO MORE PHARMACEUTICAL DRUGS! Stop supporting big agra – buy from local farmers and know how it’s grown. Stop supporting big government – ignore (stop voting for) the Federal government. Get actively involved at the local level.

In short, ‘come out of her, my people’. Anyone with ears to hear and eyes to see knows the destruction being wrought by the powers that have occupied our once great nation. It is time to come out of the evil empire. It is time to say, ‘ENOUGH’!

Sign of a financial Armageddon?

By Doug Hagmann

Something happened this week that brings back haunting memories of the 2001 put options of airline stocks, except this “bet” is against the entire U.S. economy. This week, an anonymous trader bought 100,000 put options on the ETF, which is an acronym for an exchange-traded fund. One commonly traded ETF is XLF, which, in the most unscientific and basic terms, is a group of funds that is like a barometer for the stock market.

Should we be worried?

I asked this stockbroker if us normal people, those with our life savings stashed in a small coffee can in the back of our kitchen cupboard, should be concerned.

“No, of course not, not unless the trader is correct with the $11 million bet. That means that there would be crash… er, I mean a significant downward market correction. If that happens, then we’ll all be looking at huge losses that could nuke the market and have a domino effect across the financial board.”

“Of course we should be worried!” This could be the opening salvo of an economic collapse that everyone in the media and our elected officials are saying won’t happen.

You Still Want to Believe? Are You Happy?

The 2012 presidential election was confirmation that the federal government was lost. This  is a major distinction that most people do not understand: the country is not the government: the people are the country and our future. Both political parties are to blame as uncontrolled spending has led to an unsustainable debt that has one purpose: to let vain and aspiring men and women stay in power by buying our votes with promises, entitlements and redistribution. The Tea Party phenomenon led to a temporary resurgence of the Republican Party in 2010 but the betrayal of this movement by high level operatives was clearly shown at the Republican convention in Tampa.

People in the mainstream  “Liberty” movement were devastated by the Obama reelection. Depression and hopelessness set in as no new meetings were even scheduled. Instead of listening to the wisdom of our forefathers and trying to develop new strategies, it now appears that most people in the Tea Party have come to a rather startling conclusion: they want to take back the Republican Party. Yes, it is time to organize at a precinct level to make the Republican Party become what? A conservative Party? It would be easy to quote Einstein’s famous insanity quote or to remind us about the lessons not learned by history being repeated. The doom portion is now becoming self-evident.  It would be easy to remind people of the treatment of Ron Paul’s national delegates by Romney and the Republican Party leadership. It would be easy to point out that the “Prince” who was in charge of the Party that was defeated by the absolute worst president in our history was just reelected. It would be easy….

Santelli On The Hypocrisy Of The Elites: “No One Will Ever Take Away The Punchbowl”

Tolerance and Survival

(American Thinker)   It  is easy to understand why Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (AZ) made a speech  in support of gun control. She remembers that a deranged individual used a  firearm to cripple her for life, but she also needs to remember that there were  two gun-wielding individuals involved in the incident. The second gunman, Joseph  Zamudio, wrote Giffords and Jared Lee Loughner’s other victims a blank check on  the spot for any amount up to and including his life. Even though Zamudio had a  permit to carry a concealed weapon, he had no legal obligation whatsoever to  walk into a situation that involved an active  shooter.

Consider also Nick Meli, a  concealed-carry permit holder who drew his weapon on Clackamas mall shooter  Jacob Tyler Roberts. Meli was not a police officer whose duty required him to  stand his ground against a deranged gunman. It is also noteworthy that Meli,  like Zamudio, made the correct decision to not shoot: Meli because innocent  bystanders were in his line of fire, and Zamudio because he was not sure of the  identity of the assailant.

Then we have Assistant Principal Joel Myrick,  who used a .45 Automatic to stop Luke Woodham’s school shooting at two  fatalities instead of Adam Lanza’s twenty-six. Nothing but a personal sense of  duty to others prevented Myrick from simply getting into his truck, driving  away, and hoping the shooter wouldn’t kill too many people before the police  arrived. These are but three examples of the fact that armed citizens are  responsible citizens.

Weapons Equal  Responsibility

Free people own weapons, while slaves are issued  weapons. Ownership of weapons has gone squarely hand in hand with responsible  citizenship since the time of ancient Greece, where landowners who could afford  costly bronze armor banded together to defend their communities. Mercenaries  might run away, but the landowners had to stand and fight to keep their  principal source of wealth. The Second Amendment camp’s  “Molon labe!”  comes directly from Greeks who took personal responsibility for the defense of  their community.

There is no longer any acceptable excuse for “tolerance” of the abuse and systematized chicanery of Constitution-hating collectivists, by those of us who abide in Liberty.  Every free voice needs to be telling them to STFU and GTFO, or face destruction by our hands and our guns – “coexistence” is NOT an option, as they have proven that they will never be satisfied, regardless of what compromises or accommodations we may make with them.

Soros Fears ‘Rebellion’, Warns “The Euro Could Destroy The EU”

Asked what kind of change is needed, Soros said,

“Germany needs to realise that the policy it impose on the euroarea – the austerity programme – is counter-productive. It cannot actually succeed. At the moment they [the South] is being pushed – unwittingly, not with bad intentions, but the effect is that they are being pushed into a long lasting depression and that is what is happening to Europe. And it may last more than a decade, in fact it could become permanent, until the pain is so big that eventually there may be a rebellion, a rejection of the EU, and that would then be the destruction of the EU, which is a terribly heavy price to maintain to preserve the euro, which is meant to be just a servant of the EU.”

Russian Flyover Prompts Japanese Fighter Jet Scramble As Abe Opens Second “Disputed Island” Front

While the collapse in China-Japan foreign relations (and subsequently, and much more importantly, trade) over a handful of islands in the East China Sea and strategically located near potentially vast maritime oil and gas reserves is by now well-known to everyone, what may come as a surprise is that while Japan is engaged in one mini cold war over disputed rocks with China, none other than Russia tested the waters overnight so to speak, with a fighter jet flyover above yet another set of disputed islands, the Kuriles located in the far north of Japan.

Shrinking U.S. labor unions see relief in marijuana industry

The medical marijuana shop next to a tattoo parlor on a busy street in Los Angeles looks much like hundreds of other pot dispensaries that dot the city.

Except for one thing: On the glass door – under a green cross signaling that cannabis can be bought there for medical purposes – is a sticker for the United Food and Commercial Workers union (UFCW), the nation’s largest retail union.

The dispensary, the Venice Beach Care Center, is one of three medical marijuana dispensaries in Los Angeles that are staffed by dues-paying union members. Another 49 in the city plan to enter into labor agreements with the UFCW, the union says.

Together, the dispensaries are a symbol of the growing bond between the nascent medical marijuana industry and struggling labor unions.

Hackers access Federal Reserve website, data

The Federal Reserve has acknowledged that an outside party gained access to its website and a limited amount of data, raising questions about the central bank’s cyber-security measures.

“The Federal Reserve System is aware that information was obtained by exploiting a temporary vulnerability in a website vendor product,” a Federal Reserve spokesman said in a statement.

“The exposure was fixed shortly after discovery and is no longer an issue,” the spokesman said. “This incident did not affect critical operations of the Federal Reserve System.”

The Fed did not say which of its websites had been compromised, or detail the information obtained by intruders.
