You know you’re no longer living in a free country when…

PhotoByKthreadYou know you’re no longer living in a free country when the government tells you what you can and cannot put in your body. Or when an unelected board of bureaucrats and corporate insiders can confiscate the assets of hardworking small business owners.

Yet these have become par for the course in the Land of the Free.

The latest bout involves a family-owned raw milk operation in Missouri that was decimated last week by the heavy hand of government, courtesy of the State Milk Board.

Of course, this isn’t even an actual government agency, but rather one of more than 200 such committees in Missouri which wield tsarist authority over their domains.

State Milk Board members include both state bureaucrats and corporate leaders from the milk industry. How convenient that a few big producers are given unelected, absolute authority to torpedo a raw milk competitor…

Disgusting: Not a Message from the President but from Organizing for Action

Friend —

Today in Nevada, President Obama laid out his plan for comprehensive immigration reform, and right now, he needs to know who’s ready to help get this done.

Add your name in support of the President’s plan for immigration reform today.

Ask pretty much anyone, and they’ll agree: Our nation’s immigration system is broken. But working together, we can fix it so everyone plays by the same rules.

To that end, the President has proposed the following steps:

– Continue to strengthen and secure our borders;
– Crack down on companies that hire undocumented workers;
– Establish a legal path to earned citizenship for the 11 million undocumented immigrants who are already here — including children who were brought here through no fault of their own;
– And streamline legal immigration for those who are already playing by the rules.

Solving this problem is not only essential to a strong economy and a thriving middle class, it’s also the right thing to do.

The time to act is now.

Assault Rifle vs. Sporting Rifle

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8C-CLsMRcA0

From YouTube:

Published on Dec 30, 2012

The media and the anti-gunners are trying to tell Americans that “assault weapons” need to be banned for public safety. The problem is, assault rifles were banned in 1986. What they want to ban now are semi-automatic sporting firearms. The firearms they want to ban account for less than 1% of the firearms used in crime. We need to stop this mindless attack on our Constitutional rights.

This link will take you to a Congressional website where you can quickly and easily email your Senators, Congressmen and the President: http://www.congress.org/congressorg/mail/?alertid=61046526&type=ML

Hunt and kill these NAZI’s, and any others who invade private property, or infringe any of our unalienable rights. The time for talking is OVER; if you come to violate the rights of citizens, expect to be fired upon.

T. L. Davis: “Do Not Comply”

Do Not Comply

T. L. Davis
It is sickening to travel the supposed Second Amendment sites and realize they are embroiled in discussions on how to comply with the upcoming laws banning assault weapons and high capacity clips. Comply? These sites should be alive with plans to defy and nullify these laws, not through some silly strategy of registering some guns and not others; not through selling these weapons in other states to get a good price while prices are up. Are they insane?From the Revolution on down we have fought wars against the same people: tyrants. We have sent our young men into butcher mills in Europe to protect the British, to free the French, to conquer Hitler. For what? To merely roll over when our own despot arises on a popular platform with propagandists singing hymns to collectivism? Elections don’t matter when the overall purpose of the government, run by whomever, is to alienate not just yourselves from your rights, but all subsequent generations from theirs.

The United States Government, no matter who has been at the top, or which party has controlled congress, has not paused even a second while reducing our children to abject future poverty, burdened from birth by enormous debt; to effectively enslave them to the government or even to a foreign government. What makes you think they are not interested in bankrupting not only their finances, but their society?

Comply? Are you seriously taking a look at the modern landscape, where the government rolls on unabated in the destruction of every aspect of freedom and are not alarmed? You seriously are not planning your resistance; are not lying in wait for that one final defilement that causes you to flash?

BANK RUN IN PROGRESS? MASSIVE $114B WITHDRAWN FROM 25 LARGEST US BANKS FIRST WEEK OF JANUARY!

gold bank runSD contributor AGXIIK warned readers months ago about the FDIC’s expanded deposit insurance which was set to expire Dec 31st, predicting that the expiring expanded deposit insurance enacted in the wake of the 2008 financial panic could trigger a bank run.

Many scoffed at the report and its implications, due to the fact that the story received zero attention by the likes of Bloomberg, CNBC, or even ZH.

It appears that the expiring expanded FDIC insurance has in fact triggered a massive deposit withdrawal at the nation’s largest banks, as the Fed is reporting that $114 billion were withdrawn from the largest 25 US banks over the first week of January, the largest fund outflow since the 9/11 attacks, even exceeding the pace of the outflow during the 2008 financial panic!

Army says political tussle taking Egypt to brink

A protester stands in front of a burning riot police vehicle after it was seized on the Kasr Elnile bridge in Cairo January 28, 2013. A man was shot dead on Monday in a fifth day of violence that has killed 50 Egyptians and prompted the Islamist president to declare a state of emergency in an attempt to end a wave of unrest sweeping the biggest Arab nation. Egypt’s army chief said political strife was pushing the state to the brink of collapse – a stark warning from the institution that ran the country until last year as Cairo’s first freely elected leader struggles to contain bloody street violence. Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, a U.S.-trained general appointed by President Mohamed Mursi last year to head the armed forces, added in a statement on Tuesday that one of the primary goals of deploying troops in cities on the Suez Canal was to protect the waterway that is vital for Egypt’s economy and world trade.

Sisi’s comments, published on an official army Facebook page, followed 52 deaths in the past week of disorder and highlighted the mounting sense of crisis facing Egypt and its Islamist head of state who is struggling to fix a teetering economy and needs to prepare Egypt for a parliamentary election in a few months that is meant to cement the new democracy.

Case-Shiller Home Price Index Posts Second Consecutive Monthly Decline, Average Home Prices Back To Fall 2003 Levels

The Case-Shiller Home Price Index is unique among other economic data indicators for recommending that analysts focus solely on its Non-seasonal adjusted data series, as this is what the report uses in its own headline figures. It adds that “for analytical purposes, S&P Dow Jones Indices publishes a seasonally adjusted data set covered in the headline indices” – a far cry from the BLS, whose Arima X 12 models are the basis of the data “moves” on a monthly basis: moves which are based not so much in the underlying data but on the seasonal adjustment and fudging the government employees apply to it. And it is the unadjusted Case Shiller data that showed that in November, the 20 City Composite index posted its second consecutive monthly price decline in a row. Yes: on a year over year basis home prices did rise some 5.5%, but on the other hand, “average home prices across the United States are back to their autumn 2003 levels for both the 10-City and 20-City Composites.” And while the price decline into the year end is somewhat seasonal, it certainly does not fit with all the other economic data released by the government showing a housing picture so bright not even the tiniest drops in prices were allowed.

A Sheriff Who Will Defend the Right to Bear Arms

Letter to the Blue Ridge, Georgia Newspaper from Sheriff Dane Kirby

Recently, tragic events of violence have occurred throughout our country that have prompted the President, Vice-President and other members of Congress to analyze the federal gun laws that are in place in our country. There has been talk of banning certain types of firearms, regulating magazine capacities, and ammunition restrictions. People are very concerned and afraid that the federal government is attempting to take their firearms.

I have been approached by several people recently and asked what I would do if they “came to take our guns”. I would like to take this opportunity to let everyone know what my position is on this particular issue.

When I took the Oath of Office after my election to office and again after my re-election, the last line of this oath states “ I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Georgia, So Help Me God. The 2nd amendment to the Constitution of the United States gives citizens the right to keep and bear arms. I am a very strong supporter of our 2nd amendment rights . I want everyone to be very clear that I have no intentions of violating my oath of office.

It is my firm opinion that the problems and violence that has happened recently did not happen because people are allowed to have guns, or even high capacity magazines. Continue reading
