Letter to the Citizenry from Sheriff Jerry Jones

Citizens of Franklin County North Carolina,

As most of you are aware I attended a meeting at Fargo’s Restaurant in Zebulon some weeks back. The purpose of the meeting was simple, to provide clarification to the citizenry as to where your Sheriffs stand with regards to your 2nd Amendment Rights to Keep and Bear Arms. Particular interest was given to the possibility of any new Federal Laws and/or restrictions and how each Sheriff would react should such measures be taken. Since that community meeting I have received countless emails and letters from concerned citizens within Franklin County. In response to these concerns please allow me, as the Sheriff of Franklin County, to make the following declarations.

As the Sheriff of Franklin County North Carolina I have sworn an oath, as have the men and women who serve under me, to “Support and maintain the Constitution and laws of the United States, and the Constitution and laws of North Carolina not inconsistent therewith”. When I swore to this oath it was not intended on my part to be merely ceremonious in nature. Those words have meaning. They represent the very basis of what makes our society different from so many others worldwide. We have established a form of Government which derives its powers from the governed, as is clearly stated in our Constitution. Our founding fathers recognized that each of us is born equally into this world with certain rights. These rights were put to paper in clear and concise wording for all to understand, even future generations.

Gun Confiscation Never Ends Well for Those Being Disarmed

Mass grave for the dead Lakota after the massacre at Wounded Knee Creek

The information concerning the aftermath of gun confiscation throughout modern history is newsworthy in light of the statements coming from the administration, department of justice, homeland security and the usual suspects in the democrat party hierarchy (capitalization left out purposefully). Coupled with the shortage of ammunition and firearms in general, the only positive news will be the increased consumer spending (and GDP) of the American public who are trying to secure their freedom.

We take freedom for granted and most people will gladly exchange freedom for security. They do not know better even though Mr. Franklin warned us about trading away freedom for security. If we truly do not understand the concepts of freedom and Liberty, how do we know if we are truly free? Is a 50% tax burden really representative of freedom? Who is more free: the people working and paying for a bloated governmental bureaucracy or the people who have sold their votes for money (entitlements)? Is redistribution a means to freedom? Of course not: it is a means to slavery. If we have to address these questions, we already know that our freedom is in jeopardy.

How do you defend the Liberty guaranteed by a free state? Our forefathers gave us the best defense against tyranny: the 2nd amendment.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

I learned this week that this amendment is the only one which states a purpose: it is necessary to the security of a free State. To me, it is also the only one which imparts a duty upon us. It is our duty to stand up in arms to protect ourselves, our families and our freedom from tyranny. Is the United States in danger of falling to tyranny? If we did not believe this to be so, we would not be stocking up on firearms and ammunition. Pray that we understand the consequences of being disarmed because our government fully understands what this means to secure their power.

Buyer Beware: County Sheriffs and the Constitution

580511_315706985198171_1105488657_n

“I will not enforce an unconstitutional law against any citizen of Smith County,” insisted Sheriff Larry Smith. The sheriff wants his constituents to believe that he would refuse to participate in a federally mandated gun grab, or permit one to be carried out by federal officials within his jurisdiction. Yet ten days before Smith offered that assurance, his office had taken part in an early-morning SWAT rampage throughout East Texas in which 73 warrants were served as part of the federal government’s patently unconstitutional war on drugs.

During a December 2011 campaign debate, Smith said that he wanted to “invest more resources” – that is, redirect wealth plundered from the productive – into a “Drug Task Force,” and insisted that under his administration the Sheriff’s Office would embrace a “Task Force mentality” in dealing with law enforcement issues.

The problem with the mindset Sheriff Smith was extoling should become obvious once it’s understood that the German term for “task force” is einsatzgruppe. By their actions many multi-jurisdictional task forces in contemporary America are increasingly faithful to their historic pedigree.

Smith’s devotion to narcotics task forces might be the residue of his early law enforcement career, which included two years as a special agent for the Drug Enforcement Administration – an agency that could be considered the mentally deficient stepchild of the CIA, which is the world’s largest narcotics syndicate.

Apple Inc missed revenue expectations for the third straight quarter after sales of its flagship iPhone came in below Wall Street’s targets, driving its shares down 6 percent.

The company said on Wednesday it shipped 47.8 million iPhones, a quarterly record that nonetheless disappointed many analysts accustomed to years of outperformance from the device that helped revolutionize the smartphone industry. Wall Street was predicting roughly 50 million shipments, on average.

Why Are We Arming the Muslim Brotherhood?

AP

AP

There is a reason that the penalty for treason is death.

David DeGerolamo

Egypt to Receive F-16s

The State Department has refused to cancel or delay the delivery of several American-made F-16 fighter jets to Egypt, claiming that the arms deal serves America’s “regional security interests,” according to an official State Department document obtained by the Free Beacon.

The news that the Obama administration would uphold an aid package to Egypt that included the military hardware prompted concern on Capitol Hill from lawmakers who said the deal was not prudent given the political situation in Egypt, where Muslim Brotherhood-backed President Mohammed Morsi has clashed with democratic protestors.

“Sixteen F-16s and 200 Abrams tanks are to be given to the Egyptian government before the end of the year under a foreign aid deal signed in 2010 with then-Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak,” Fox News reported Tuesday.

“President Morsi has failed to promote promised democracy in his country and neglected to continue Egypt’s legacy of maintaining peace in the region,” said Senator James Inhofe (R., Okla.). “I am alarmed and disappointed in the Obama Administration’s decision to decline my request to delay delivery of F-16s for further consideration.”

It really will be the total globalization of the Obama presidency

Now there was something (WHI)  mentioned that might have been missed by most of your readers.  It touched on something the media has hinted at, but behind the scenes has a lot of us scrambling to prepare for and that is Barack Obama’s campaign machine being kept in place and even strengthened to not only be used as powerful political leverage for the 2014 midterms and then during and after the 2016 election, but well beyond that time frame as well.  I think the phrase was “community organizing on a global scale”.  I will confirm that (WHI) is 100% correct about that.    It’s called Organizing for Action and it’s actually bypassing the traditional DNC and its goal, if what I’m told is correct, is to raise hundreds of millions of dollars and utilize “issue bombing” to exert tremendous pressure on politicians to vote as Barack Obama/Valerie Jarrett would want them to vote or face further damaging public relations courtesy of the Organizing for Action machine.  This also means the current Obama team thinks they are capable of choosing Obama’s 2016 successor and make no mistake, that also means then that the same agenda that has so many of us frustrated and fearful now will NOT stop after 2016.  It really will be the total globalization of the Obama presidency.  He will extend his influence well beyond just eight years in the White House.  Now let that sink in. The possible ramifications of that scenario should scare the heck out of all of us who already recognize just how bad things are going now.

If they pull it off, it would basically mean a way to effectively secure a third term and more for Barack Obama, but on an even more global scale than the traditional role of American president that Obama already feels he’s much too important to be constrained by.

As bad as the 2012 election outcome was, people need to understand they could still get much-much worse.  I’m not about to give up and I hope I can count on you and all the other alternative media and true patriots to help fight back.  You can do better. I can do better.  We all can do better.  I still believe there is a lot more of ”us” than “them”.  We just need to re-organize.   It’s the future and the future is now.

Important Legislation Alert

The bills are now being considered.  You can’t yet see the text of all of these, but here is the list. Start contacting your senators and tell them to vote NO on each one individually.  A couple of these are a bit ambiguous with regard to how they are named.  But based on the co-sponsors, I am certain they are anti-gun.  However, feel free to wait until the text is available, but don’t wait too long.  Some of these could get pushed through quickly because the Republicans are not going to filibuster.
As far as S. 34 is concerned, I have my doubts about that one.  I believe that the bill would allow the government to strip someone of their right to bear arms simply because they were suspected of something or are on a no-fly list.  We’ve probably all heard about the issues with the no-fly list, but the reason I am inclined to oppose it is because it is a measure that does not give the accused due process.  All they need to do is “suspect” you.  I’m not comfortable with that, but again, if you want to wait until the text is available, please do so.  Personally, I’m going to oppose everything across the board based on what I know of the co-sponsors. Survival of the Most Adaptable

Forget survival of the strongest, the meanest, the fastest,  the toughest, the fittest or the smartest.

All of those are fine qualities in a prepper but there is one key to survival in nearly any situation that trumps all of the above.  That key is adaptability.

adaptability:

The ability to change to fit changed circumstances.

Accept what is.

You have to accept what is.  In the event of a disaster, natural or otherwise, many people suffer some cognitive dissonance.  Their psyches are simply unable to assess the reality of the situation and accept that it’s actually happening.  Sadly, this renders them pretty much useless in a crisis situation.  Cognitive dissonance is defined as…

“the feeling of discomfort when simultaneously holding two or more conflicting cognitions: ideas, beliefs, values or emotional reactions…Dissonance is aroused when people are confronted with information that is inconsistent with their beliefs. If the dissonance is not reduced by changing one’s belief, the dissonance can result in restoring consonance through misperception, rejection or refutation of the information, seeking support from others who share the beliefs, and attempting to persuade others.”

Sadly, we are surrounded by cognitive dissonance, by people who stubbornly hang on to the way things were yesterday and refuse to adjust to the reality of today.
