Court says Obama recess appointments “invalid”

This story is developing but I have no doubt that Eric Holder’s Department of Justice will conduct a thorough investigation of this matter after it is appealed, and appealed and…

From Reuters:

A federal appeals court on Friday rejected President Barack Obama’s “recess” appointments to a labor board last year, saying they were constitutionally invalid.

The appointments to the National Labor Relations Board were made while the Senate was out of town but potentially available to act on them.

“Considering the text, history, and structure of the Constitution, these appointments were invalid from their inception,” the panel said.

Obama also used such a “recess” appointment early last year to install Richard Cordray as head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, but the court’s ruling did not specifically address his appointment.

Simon Black – Scam complete: the US government takes a page from Diocletian’s book…

diocletian_wikipediaGuayaquil, Ecuador

Early in the 4th century,Emperor Diocletian issued an infamous decree to control spiraling wages and prices in the rapidly deteriorating Roman Empire.

As part of his edict, Diocletian commanded that any merchant or customer caught violating the new price structures would be put to death.

This is an important lesson from history, and a trend that has been repeated numerous times. When nations are in terminal economic decline, governments will stop at nothing to keep the party going just a little bit longer.

I thought of Diocletian’s desperation a few days ago when I read about the recent sanctions imposed on US rating agency Egan-Jones. It’s a similar story–

For years, major rating agencies (S&P, Moody’s, and Fitch) have championed the outright fraud of our financial system by pinning pristine credit ratings on insolvent governments and their heavily inflated currencies.

In doing so, the rating agencies are effectively claiming that the greatest debtor that has ever existed in the history of the world is nearly ‘risk-free’.

Gun Stealing Devil – Wild Bill for America

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pG_PxJ4Zwww

Bill is correct in his analysis: the government will use executive actions (not orders) and health care to implement gun control. They will also impose regulations and taxes on the manufacture and sale of ammunition. But then you already knew that.

President Obama is counting on you – Joe Biden

Friend —

The President did something big last week.

He proposed a set of major reforms to help protect our children and our communities by curbing gun violence, and he’s already announced 23 executive actions that will go a long way in helping keep our kids safe.

This is an important start — but I have no illusions about what needs to be done and how difficult it will be.

Every step we intend to take will preserve the tradition of responsible gun ownership in our country and uphold the Second Amendment. And while we’ll never end gun violence entirely, if we can save the life of even one child, then we have a responsibility to act.

This action includes not only what we can do, but what Congress can do. To make a real and lasting difference, they must act soon.

The President has called on Congress to act on four specific legislative measures: closing background check loopholes, banning military-style assault weapons and limiting high-capacity ammunition magazines, making our schools safer, and increasing access to mental health services.

WOMAN ARRESTED WHILE REFUSING SMART METER INSTALLATION ON HER PROPERTY

Two Naperville Women Arrested While Protesting the Installation of Smart Meters on Their Homes

Jennifer Stahl has been a strong advocate against the smart meter program in Naperville, Ill., for the last two years. The issue came to a head Wednesday afternoon when she was arrested while refusing to let the utility workers install the controversial device.

“I was protecting my property,” Stahl said in an interview with TheBlaze Thursday afternoon. “I felt my emotion was like a momma bear protecting her babies.”

The Hell Diversity Has Wrought

I’ve been thinking about fault lines, and fractures, and diversity, and when it’s all going to implode. I hope I’m still around because it is going to be one gorgeous show. Few things are as entertaining as a truly good disaster.

What is going to kill us is diversity. It isn’t working well. By diversity I mean here the intermixing of large groups of people holding utterly differing and opposed values. There is too damned much diversity in America. It isn’t getting better.

It Would Make My Government Proud

It would make my government proud.

Sheila Bair

Sheila Colleen Bair was the 19th Chairperson of the U.S. Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

The following article written by Ms. Bair gives us no hope for the financial future of our country. Imagine if I told my small circle of readers the following:

1. Get your money out of 1’s and 0’s (anything where your assets are tracked electronically) and convert them into something that is necessary, barterable and/or will appreciate. Things like precious metals, firearms, ammunition and food.

2. The government’s plan is to inflate federal reserve notes (and your life’s savings) in order to increase their spending. Get out of the US dollar (see number 1).

3. The government’s plan is also to redistribute your assets through higher taxes for entitlement programs in order to buy elections and stay in power. See 2012 election results. (see number 1.)

Yes, I have stated these facts for the past four years.

Now Ms. Bair is stating the following:

“With interest rates in the basement, why keep squirreling all that money away? Let’s take out some loans and rack up some debt!”

SABOTAGE! KEY IRANIAN NUCLEAR FACILITY HIT?

An explosion deep within Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility has destroyed much of the installation and trapped about 240 personnel deep underground, according to a former intelligence officer of the Islamic regime.

The previously secret nuclear site has become a center for Iran’s nuclear activity because of the 2,700 centrifuges enriching uranium to the 20-percent level. A further enrichment to weapons grade would take only weeks, experts say.

The level of enrichment has been a major concern to Israeli officials, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu repeatedly has warned about the 20-percent enriched stockpile.

The explosion occurred Monday, the day before Israeli elections weakened Netanyahu’s political control.

Iran, to avoid alarm, had converted part of the stockpile to fuel plates for use in the Tehran Research Reactor. However, days after the recent failed talks with the International Atomic Energy Agency, Iranian officials announced the enrichment process will not stop even “for a moment.”

GRNC Alert 1-24-13: GRNC joins National Coalition response to Feinstein’s lies

Statement by GRNC president Paul Valone

As one of the founders of the now thirty-seven (37) organizations of the “National Coalition to Stop the Gun Ban,” representing millions of Americans, Grass Roots North Carolina refutes lies being fed to the American people. We reiterate: We will not compromise on the Feinstein proposals, and any legislator who supports them will be the target of coordinated Coalition action.”

Bread, Circus, and the Super Bowl

I substitute for teachers in the government school system. The kids are always asking me about my sports team preferences, be they professional or college teams. They are amazed when I confess to them that I no longer follow sports.

When I was in the local Rotary Club, almost every conversation revolved around sports. The other fellows could give never ending recitations on stats and scores from seasons and games played in virtually any prior year.

When I attempted to generate a conversation involving geopolitical, political, economic, or spiritual issues, the conversation was immediately diverted back to sports. Sports, it would seem, is safe. Sports requires no commitment to world view, no judgment of morality.

While I have no problem with sporting events, I understand that they are just games. Once I figured that out, my team winning was no longer a matter of ‘life or death’. And, as I looked at the myriad of problems in the world, even championship games lost their importance.

Back to the kids in school. As they are recovering from their shock that I don’t follow sports, I explain ‘Bread and Circus’ to them. Remember? Caesar gives the people bread and circus (enough food so the bellies don’t growl and the games) and then steals their liberty and wealth. But the people don’t seem to notice because they have their bread and circus.

I’ll sometimes even throw in the “when I became a man I put away childish things” quote. Now, I still enjoy competition and I still enjoy a very occasional game (playing or watching). But I have come to be able to discern what is really important from what is not.

Why should you care what I think in this regard? Simple. The Super Bowl is upon us with all its attendant hype. Many folks can tell you everything you care to know about the two opposing teams but can’t tell you the first thing about the Constitution, or about the future the elitists have in mind for our kids. Bread and circus …

Watch the following clip and share it liberally. Maybe we can wake a few more souls up from their stupor before it’s too late.

Ted Nugent claims his ‘buddies’ are willing to start an armed revolt

Firearms enthusiast Ted Nugent, appearing in a Discovery Channel special. Photo: Screenshot via Discovery.com.

Detroit-born southern rockabilly Ted Nugent isn’t known for moderation, but from the sound of his latest comments, the re-election of President Barack Obama (D) has made him ever more extreme.

Speaking to fans during an NBC-sponsored gun show, Nugent said that Obama “is attempting to re-implement the tyranny of King George that we escaped from in 1776,” adding: “If you want another Concord bridge, I’ve got some buddies.”

The comment was a reference to the Battle of Concord, in which a British soldier broke a standoff and fired upon assembled American militiamen, in what later became known as “the shot heard around the world” that helped launch the Revolutionary War.
