A 14-year-old Phoenix boy shot an intruder who broke into his home while brandishing a gun as the teenager watched his three younger siblings, police said.

The teen and his brothers and sisters were at home alone at their residence at 55th Avenue and Baseline when a woman rang the doorbell Friday. The teen didn’t open the door because he didn’t recognize her, Police Officer James Holmes said Saturday.

Soon after, the teen heard a bang on the door, rushed his siblings upstairs and got a handgun from his parent’s bedroom. When he got to the top of the stairs, he saw a man breaking through the front door and point a gun at him.

The boy shot the 37-year-old man, who is in critical condition but expected to survive and be booked into jail.

Holmes said the suspect did not get a shot off. He declined to release his name until he is booked into jail.

Update: Russian Pantsyr-1 air defense missile in Syria

To ambush the Turkish Air Force F-4 Super Phantom Friday, June 22, over Latakia Syria used Russian-made self-propelled medium range anti-air Pantsyr-1 missiles recently supplied by Moscow (not as first reported anti-air Buk-M2 missiles). This weapon can down aircraft flying at altitudes up to 12 kilometers and cruise missiles. The unit responsible for the ambush was the 73rd brigade of the Syrian army’s 26th Air Defense Division.

The facts surrounding the Turkish F-4 Super Phantom shot down by Syria changed very quickly on Friday, June 22, 2012. The Syrian apology that was widely reported was false. The incursion of the Turkish jet into Syrian airspace was not immediately reported and the fate of the two pilots is not known although initial reports stated that both were alive.

The following information has not put this incident in an entirely new light. Previous articles have outlined the Russian strategy at the Syrian port of Tartus. This attack was at Latakia where Russia is constructing another military port as detailed on March 10, 2012:

Since 2009 Russian workers have been constructing a dock at Latakia where only a mooring facility previously existed. It seems the port is being enlarged to take heavy surface units as well. Both ports could presumably service submarines. If Russia installed coastal, anti-ship, and state-of-the-art S-300 anti-aircraft missiles at the two ports, they could prove well nigh impregnable.

But if the Assad regime collapses, a new, vengeful Syrian government would likely kick the Russian navy out of Tartus and Latakia. To avoid such a humiliation, Putin seems prepared to connive at the continuing mass murder of the Syrian people. For Russia warm water ports are apparently everything.”

Three months later, Putin has drawn the line clearly in the sand: Russian technology and advisers are firmly in place in both Tartus and Latakia. Their Buk-M2 anti-air missiles under the operation of Russian instructors made a point yesterday that this advanced technology is in place and will be used. Why was the Turkish plane in Syrian airspace? Their mission was to do reconnaissance for NATO to evaluate the Russian progress at Latakia. Mission accomplished. Putin used Syria to put Obama in check and the West will see the consequences of a failed US foreign policy under the auspices of Obama and Hillary Clinton. The Turkish military reported Friday, June 22, that radar and radio contact was lost with a Turkish air force F-4 plane after it took off from Erhac Airport in the eastern province of Malatya while flying over the sea opposite the Turkish-Syrian border. The incident took place not far from the Syrian port of Latakia.

DEBKAfile’s military sources report that Syrian anti air defenses shot the plane down in an ambush calculated to retaliate for the defection of the Syrian Air Force pilot Col. Hassan Maray al-Hamadeh to Jordan a day earlier with his MiG-21 warplane. Officials in Damascus are certain his defection was organized by US and Turkish intelligence.
DamPress and other Syrian news agencies reported at 16:00 local time Friday that two military aircraft infiltrated Syrian airspace over Latakia and broke the sound barrier while flying low in threatening formation. One was hit by Syrian anti-air fire and the second escaped. DamPress speculates that the intruders were either Turkish or Israeli. The Turkish press reported later that a search operation rescued the two pilots of the downed aircraft from the sea. The plane has not been found. Since Thursday, Syria’s entire air fleet has been grounded while its spy agencies screen flight personnel for more potential defectors.

If voting for the “lesser of two evils” is the formula we need to adopt (sic) and one in which we will “gain” better footing on which to build the freedoms we are so rapidly losing, why hasn’t it yet worked? Have we not always voted for the lesser of two evils, or to put it more pc; haven’t we voted for the candidate that said the things we liked most and both opposing candidates have said things liked by both sides, both sides claiming their candidate was best?; Ultimately each candidate being the lesser of two evils and we chose the best one. Or have we always chosen the worst one thus leaving us in the known and obvious continued decline of our freedoms, economy and status? How is it we can explain our situation otherwise? Do we have more freedoms now or less compared to the foundation of our country? Is our debt lighter now than then? Does our government, both state and federal, maintain more control over our lives while seeking more? Do we presently do anything of any consequence without first seeking “permission” from government? IF so, please advise me just what that is. “Our” representatives, at both levels and from both “sides,” author and submit thousands of pieces of legislation each year in each state. Have you checked their web sites? It is staggering! Can we say that this legislation offers less control over our lives or more? If it takes this much legislation to “run” our country, we are in deep trouble because there must be more wrong that needs legislation to correct than ever before. Why is this so? Most people understand that the US dollar is a fiat currency. A portion of the population has invested in gold as a hedge for the future. There are three ways to invest in gold: stocks (gold mines and ETFs), paper gold (your physical gold is managed and stored remotely) and actual possession.

Gold stocks whose value is dependent on mining gold are dependent on the ability to produce gold and profits. The price of gold may go up but if a mine’s supply of gold is exhausted, your investment is gone. This is simple finance 101: any stock not making a profit becomes worthless. Gold ETFs such as GLD are an easy way to trade quickly with little commission structure. The issue with ETFs is whether or not they actually have the gold reserves to cover their price.

Gentlemen and ladies of the NC legislature, you have delivered an important message via this one-sided conversation.

You are unwilling to act as honorable and moral individuals to remove unlawful infringements to the fundamental right of self-defense.  In so doing you have classified yourselves as ‘something other than honorable and moral individuals’.

Logic dictates that you cannot be “A” and “not-A” at the same time.  Therefore you render yourselves irrelevant to anyone who respects the rights of man and champions individual Liberty.

Because you are unwilling or unable to act honorably on this most basic element of law, ALL actions by you are subject to detailed examination and potential nullification by any sentient individual.
