Time is getting short, and if this critical bill doesn’t move soon there is a chance it will die in committee. We have worked too hard for too long to allow this to happen.

Please send the reminder – or one of your own – shown below to your Senator.  This is ESPECIALLY important if your Senator is on the Senate Finance Committee.  Let them know that you want them to use their power to get Restaurant Carry (HB 111) to the Senate floor for passage.

Keep Drinking the Kool-Aid

Stand Up for Liberty and All Else Will Fall into Place

A recent article by T.L. Davis posed the following:

Here’s the question: Is it better to let someone lead who is so intent upon it that his leadership will provide cohesion to the Liberty Community? We are now a ragged bunch of individuals seeking only self-defense against a tyranny better thought out, better prosecuted than our efforts toward liberty. We are behind, struggling with some manner of discourse with our fellow citizens that will wake them up, that will save them so that we might have reinforcements. But, we are approaching the moment when we can no longer look out for the sports enthusiasts and game show attendees among us.

An article posted on Western Rifle Shooters made the following suggestion to this question:

How’s about everyone that wants to be “leader” apply online, here, or somewhere, and give their name, and a short platform of what they believe in, what they hope to accomplish, and how they intend to lead. Then, we can vote on nominating the top three or so of the candidates, the winners will campaign for a certain time, and then we can have an election.

However, here is the real point that Mr. Davis was making:

Let me state quite clearly that the previous post, Naivete, was not written to call for a leader, it was to expose some issues concerning leadership. My statement was that we need a leader, what needs to be done cannot be done arbitrarily, it must be done deliberately, with planning and tactics and overall strategy. We are too small in number to be effective otherwise.

Let’s start at the beginning: the period of time just prior to the American Revolution. Our founding fathers realized that freedom is a natural law given to us by God. They did not look for a leader for guidance but to God. How did they proceed? Fifty-six men signed the Declaration of Independence relying upon divine Providence:

Wisconsin Union Hail Mary

Public School Teachers in Green Bay can retire, join an “emeritus program,” and earn a full years pay for working 30 days over 3 years. I kid you not, this is a real program, and 140 Green Bay teachers have applied this year.

140 teacher retirement requests approved
The emeritus program gives one full year’s salary paid over three years. That is in addition to pension benefits. In return, the retiree provides 10 days of service to the district each year during that time. The emeritus program is something that has been negotiated into the teachers’ contract through collective bargaining.

How many other school districts have programs like this? This is indefensible! the taxpayers of Green Bay should be appalled that their school board ever agreed to something like this in the first place. Now, State Senate Democrats are defending this sort of collective bargaining, where no one is on the side of the taxpayer!

AFSCME Boss Gives Race-Baiting Speech at Occupy Milwaukee Rally

On Wednesday, the day after Governor Scott Walker’s recall election victory, Occupy Milwaukee held a rally in Pere Marquette Park, A march followed, which was at times was violent. But the ugliest occurrence yesterday was the speech given by Gilbert Johnson, the president of AFSCME Local 82.

After requesting that the occupiers hug the person next to them, Johnson besmirched the Tea Party movement–and of course myself, since I am a tea partier–by referring to our rallies with the sexual epithet of tea bag.

“You never see this at a tea bag, man,” Johnson said to the crowd of about 120 people “What you have is a bunch of haters, people that tell lies, people that want to go back to the ’50s. White man rule. White man only.”

A few moments later he added, “Here in the state of Wisconsin we have people that lie. They want money and they care only about themselves. You know the statistic came out that the minority population would soon be exceeding the white population and all of the sudden we start having fear. And they started, ‘Let’s get guns!'”

Silence Is No Longer an Option

Yesterday, I had the privilege sharing the opening prayer and remarks for the NC Senate. In an age when the courts are tallying the number of prayers that are prayed in Jesus’ name, I knew that what I was about to say would be a direct challenge to the secular mindset that dominates much of our government. For those of you that are unaware of what has been taking place in NC, see the link to the NY Times article.

The dictatorial decision of the 4th Circuit Court should be challenged by the people, and that is exactly what some are doing. Nonetheless, I am willing to do my part in championing the general religious sentiments of the people of our great state. Thus I offered the following prayer and remarks to the NC Senate yesterday.

Congress Seeks To Establish Ministry of Truth!

Once again, the National Defense Authorization Act is used as a Trojan horse to unload  a dangerous threat on America.  This time it is offered up in an amendment sponsored by Representative Thornberry from Texas and its called Dissemination of Information Abroad.  This bill has also been referred to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs as a separate bill titled HR 5736, The Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012. This bill will overturn a prohibition that has been in place since 1948 and make it possible for the US Government to fund the dissemination of propaganda to influence American citizens.

Immediately, the question comes up, why should we care?  Isn’t domestic propaganda something that this administration has been engaging since 2008? Would any of us disagree that the mainstream media is a tool of this administration?  Read on and see just why there should be national outrage over this bill.

Woodrow Wilson established the Committee on Public Information through an executive order with the purpose of influencing American public opinion toward supporting the US involvement in World War I. The man appointed to be the chairman over this committee was George Creel, a well renowned investigative journalist and editor of the Rocky Mountain News.

In 1942, FDR established the United States Office of War Information by executive order to “truthfully inform” the American people about the government’s efforts in World War II.  FDR appointed Elmer Davis, a well-known CBS News analyst, as director of OWI.  Davis’ job was to coordinate information from the military and mobilize public support of the war.  OWI was to create an avenue for the government to develop and disseminate the information that they believed people needed to know about the war.

In 1946 Rep. Sol Bloom (D-NY) introduced a bill that would grant the Secretary of State the power to give monetary, service, or property grants to nonprofit public and private corporations to prepare and disseminate informational materials.  Although this act was intended to disseminate information abroad, there were no limitations to keep it from being used upon the American people and opposition began to form.  After having lived through two regimes of government propaganda and having seen the effects of such government propaganda machines as Joseph Goebbels’ Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda, Congress decided this was not something they wanted to engage in.

Putin Just Handed the Election to Romney

Putin just dumped the Syrian civil war into Obama’s lap. I guess Vlad did not take too kindly waiting until November for Obama’s reelection for future direction  from the bear. Why does this hand the election over to Romney? Obama has two choices:

1. Put Valerie Jarrett’s right to protect policy where it belongs and admit that Libya’s kinetic action was not justified. This option makes Obama and Hillary look likes fools for foreign affairs on center stage.

2. Keep arming the rebels which means supporting Al Qaeda.The resulting flow of weapons of mass destruction into terrorist hands when the rebels win will make Obama and Hillary look likes fools for foreign affairs on center stage.

Either way, Obama looks like a fool, Putin wins (again), Syria loses and Romney has another great campaign issue. At this point, you almost have to feel sorry for Obama: he could not even give Syria to Putin. Well that thought did not last too long.

Kay Hagan – Why North Carolina Needs a Recall Mechanism

Kay Hagan has been a disappointment for North Carolina since her inauguration. It is hard to tell whether Gov. Perdue or Hagan is more supportive of the Obama agenda. North Carolina desperately needs a means to recall politicians who have abandoned their constituents in favor of political advancement. The following letter shows her ignorance of Agenda 21 or more likely, her attempt to divert attention from this plan.

Thank you for contacting me regarding Agenda 21. I appreciate hearing your thoughts on this important issue.

Drafted in 1992 at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in Brazil, Agenda 21 is a non-binding plan to encourage nations to use fewer resources and conserve open land.

I do not agree with claims that Agenda 21 is a conspiracy to deny property rights and send people toward cities. Agenda 21 is not legally binding and only offers policy guidance to governments that want to promote sustainable development and reduce pollution.

While there is no legislation pending before the Senate related to Agenda 21, I will be sure to keep your thoughts in mind should any such legislation be considered in the future.

Agenda 21: No Longer a Conservative or Tea Party Issue

The News & Observer has once again showed its liberal bias (or ignorance) in the following article concerning Agenda 21. Since when is it a conservative or Tea Party issue to be opposed to Agenda 21? I hope that Mr. McCrory understands how important this issue is to our future and is not pandering for votes.

Once moderate, McCrory sides with tea partyers in opposition to Agenda 21

Pat McCrory sent a tweet at the state GOP convention that drew little attention: “Proud to support @NCGOP’s resolution against Agenda 21.”

With his statement, the moderate Republican mayor staked his flag with the most conservative members of his party and the tea partyers who believe the United Nations endorsement of sustainable growth, public transportation and open space policies is part of an international conspiracy.

McCrory endorsed a resolution calling Agenda 21 “a comprehensive plan of extreme environmentalism, social engineering and global political control.”

“I’m very sorry for what happened. I thought something had to be done on the fiscal cliff before the election,” Clinton told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, referring to comments he made this week suggesting the Bush tax cuts should be extended – something Obama vehemently opposes. “I support [Obama’s] position [on the Bush tax cuts], and I think on the merits, upper-income people will have to contribute to long-term debt reduction.”
