I Knew I Wasn’t A Conservative

From YouTube (Reuters):

Reuters correspondent Sam Jacobs says the desire among conservatives to unseat President Barack Obama will pull them to Mitt Romney with the exit of their standard-bearer Rick Santorum from the GOP presidential race. (April 11, 2012)

The “Conservative” label never felt right for me. Primarily because each conservative has a different idea what it means. How can a movement to restore a nation to its founding principles succeed if it cannot define itself? How will we cause political change? We must look back in history to see how we did it the first time according to four quotes from Samuel Adams: Continue reading

Drop The White Flag and Fight

The announcement of Santorum only confirms what we all knew, that no matter who got the GOP nomination there would be a big-government liberal in the White House after the 2012 election. The announcement only sets the field. Santorum would have been no different, in my estimation, none of them would.

I know I have been through this before, but there is no, none, zero chance that any government stooge will ever do anything to keep the U.S. from economic collapse. They couldn’t if they wanted to. No president would be able to get congress to propose and pass a law that would drastically reduce the deficit. Look at Wisconsin to see what the nation would look like, look at Greece, look at OWS unleashed, it would erupt, they all know that. American spring.

Liberty cannot be secured under the current system. It cannot. As the nation drifts closer to chaos consider the moves the government could make, the moves they will have to make when they suddenly come to the realization (as I had to at one point in my business life) that the bills on the desk cannot be paid. They will be the first to know that those checks will not be in the mail and they will act.

Where do you fit in that scenario?

The Tea Party is the biggest wasted effort of the American people to date. Continue reading

North Carolina: Will We Comply?

DetentionCamp32

STATE TO FEDS: WE WON’T COOPERATE

A Virginia proposal that declares state workers and resources will be unavailable should Barack Obama decide to exercise provisions in the newest National Defense Authorization Act regarding the detention of U.S. citizens has begun moving forward again.

House Bill 1160 was adopted by lawmakers last month, and the deadline for Gov. Bob McDonnell to address the controversy arrived last night. A spokesman in his office told WND today the governor recommended some adjustments to the proposal, and its chief sponsor in the statehouse says those will be made, and it then is expected to become law.

The bill addresses several obscure sections of the NDAA of 2012, which was signed into law by Obama in December. Those sections appear to allow unlimited detentions by U.S. military forces and federal law enforcement agencies of even U.S. citizens without charges or a court hearing.

The federal plan targets citizens who are classified as belligerents, or who are suspected of involvement in terrorist activities, and the chief sponsor of the Virginia plan, Delegate Bob Marshall, told WND that he was alarmed to find out that Obama specifically had wanted that section included in the law.

Marshall contends the federal law deprives citizens of the rights they are guaranteed under the U.S. and Virginia constitutions. Virginia’s detention prevention bill was adopted by wide margins, 37-1 and 96-4, in both houses of the general assembly. Continue reading

Drones Being Used in the United States to Gather Evidence for Prosecuting Criminal Cases

First Man Arrested With Drone Evidence Vows to Fight Case

Court must decide if police are allowed to use drones to help make arrests

The tiny town of Lakota, N.D., is quickly becoming a key testing ground for the legality of the use of unmanned drones by law enforcement after one of its residents became the first American citizen to be arrested with the help of a Predator surveillance drone.

The bizarre case started when six cows wandered onto Rodney Brossart’s 3,000 acre farm. Brossart, an alleged anti-government “sovereignist,” believed he should have been able to keep the cows, so he and two family members chased police off his land with high powered rifles.

After a 16-hour standoff, the Grand Forks police department SWAT team, armed with a search warrant, used an agreement they’ve had with Homeland Security for about three years, and called in an unmanned aerial vehicle to pinpoint Brossart’s location on the ranch. The SWAT team stormed in and arrested Brossart on charges of terrorizing a sheriff, theft, criminal mischief, and other charges, according to documents.

Brossart says he “had no clue” they used a drone during the standoff until months after his arrest.

“We’re not laying over here playing dead on it,” says Brossart, who is scheduled to appear in court on April 30. He believes what the SWAT team did was “definitely” illegal.

“We’re dealing with it, we’ve got a couple different motions happening in court fighting [the drone use].”

How to Escape Justice Via Mexico

Sexton: Deportation to Mexico means escaping justice in U.S.

Two weeks ago, Juan Carlos Santos-Hernandez was sitting in a Forsyth County jail cell after being charged with three felonies in connection with the molestation of a 10-year-old girl.

A written plea offer prepared by prosecutor Kia Chavious spelled out the likely path for the 21-year-old: Plead guilty and the state will agree to let you be sentenced for one felony instead of three. You might get out in 25 years. Wait much longer or take your chances with a jury, you may die behind bars.

Now that’s moot, thanks to an ill-advised policy being followed by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency. Within a week or two, Santos-Hernandez could be lying on a beach in Acapulco, a free man sipping cervezas in Mexico.

“He very well may get a pass on these charges,” Chavious said in court last week. “(ICE) understands our position, but there is no mechanism to stop it. Once the ball is rolling, nothing is going to stop it.”

So we are now living in the top down, bottom up, inside out phase of chaos outlined by Van Jones. The president is offering two week intensive training courses for field organizers. Van Jones has launched his Rebuild the Communist Dream and his latest press release announces an “unprecedented movement wide training” for the 99% Spring:
