Sen. Richard Burr’s latest attempt to pander to the left went was defeated yesterday. The amendment to the Highway bill in the Senate was another government subsidy for special interests at the expense of the people. In this case, companies who are supporting natural gas powered cars would have received money to develop both the vehicles and the supporting infrastructure.
Here is Sen. Burr’s logic for sponsoring this amendment:
“This gives it a five-hour energy drink. This is essential if you want natural gas prices to stay down.”
Sen. Burr: this energy drink is hard to swallow when the taxpayers are required to fund another redistribution to the elite. How does raising taxes on a product (natural gas) keep gas prices down?

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said President Barack Obama’s birth certificate is not authentic.
Arpaio revealed the findings of a investigation into the president’s birth certificate at a 1 hour and 20 minute news conference Thursday, calling the certificate “suspect.”
Arpaio’s team of investigators said they found that the long-form birth certificate was created electronically and never existed in paper form.
The president’s Selective Service card was also questioned.
Arpaio’s investigators claimed the document has “failed every test we put it through.”

David Horowitz gave a presentation at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on March 12, 2012. Based on the previous history of this venue, it came as no surprise that some type of reaction from the audience would take place. Although most of the students left as shown in the video, there was still a large audience who listened to and agreed with Mr. Horowitz’s talk. What did come as a surprise was the opening statement by Mr. Horowitz in which he explained that Jewish groups (including UNCHillel) on the campus did not support this event:
As co-president of UNC Hillel, I was surprised to receive an invitation from the Committee for a Better Carolina to publicize David Horowitz’s upcoming speech. I would have hoped that our opinions were already publicly known: UNCHillel does not support Horowitz’s repeated vilification of Muslims.
Over the past few years, Horowitz has periodically published ads in The Daily Tar Heel promoting his view of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which are, to say the least, inflammatory.

Would it be too much to ask Mr. O’Reilly, Mr. Beck or Mr. Hannity to hire their own expert(s) to analyze the birth certificate that can be downloaded at whitehouse.gov? Even high schools students in California who set out to prove the birth certificate was real quickly proved that it was a forgery.
If you cannot stand up for the truth, you have no credibility. If you profess to stand for America but only within your own parameters, you have no patriotism. If you have no time to do a program on an issue that America wants answered, I would put forth the proposition that you are in reality a coward or lazy. This is not any attempt to goad you into action: this is only a fair and balanced assessment of fear.

When did we cross over to where any Federal official can go before any body and dictate (in a way that sounds kind) terms to any other institution. We’ve had the examples of the law suits against states, Panetta going before Congress, and now Freeh going before a bankruptcy court. There is no shame left.
MF Global execs to receive bonus despite robbery of $1.6 billion in customer funds

MF Global employees should face criminal charges, not cash bonuses.
The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that FBI Director Louis Freeh is planning to ask the bankruptcy-court judge in charge of the case to approve potential bonuses for MF Global executives Bradley I. Abelow, Henri J. Steenkamp and Laurie R. Ferber, according to people familiar with the situation. The payouts likely would be made in pieces throughout 2012. As many as 20 or so other MF Global employees now working for Mr. Freeh also would be eligible for possible bonuses. Details could be filed as soon as this month.
This development is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS. Segregated account holders are missing $1.6 billion from JP Morgan due to illegal money transfers by executives of MF Global to cover its bad bet. Now executives of MF Global have their hands out for a bonus???? Are you kidding me?????

Wall Street and mainstream economists are abuzz that we’re seeing a recovery in the US due to the latest jobs data. These folks are not only missing the big picture, but they’re not even reading the fine print (more on this in a moment).
