North Carolina Stands Up for the Constitution – Thank you Rep. Jones

See additional comments on Tea Party Nation.

Representative Walter Jones has introduced a resolution in Congress warning Obama that the use of military force without the approval of Congress as outlined in the Constitution would be grounds for impeachment. Article I, Section 8, Article 11 clearly defines the role of Congress, not the president to authorize offensive military force.

As Obama and Leon Panetta blatantly tell the nation how he will bypass Congress to achieve his transformation, North Carolina is the first state to say “HELL NO”.

Something to Ponder

Quote for today concerning Greece’s default causing a $3.2 billion liability:

The restructuring will shave $138B off Greece’s $487B debt. Non-elected Minister Lucas Papademos called the deal a “historic success”. He continued, “For the first time, Greece is not adding debt but taking debt off the backs of its citizens.” You’ll have to forgive Papademon, like his friends, he often confuses the words debt and money. I’m sure he meant that they would be taking money off the backs of its citizens. Forget about the upcoming madness with Spain, Portugal, France and finally the US. Do you really think the “net” 3.2B CDS Greek exposure is the true liability? I’ll help you with the answer. If they sold a couple hundred billion in fictitious insurance and immediately took the proceeds and levered them, say a 100x and dumped it on themselves, proclaiming, “It’s raining!”, do you think they will be able to cover the insurance claims now? I guess we’ll find out if chopping off the head of a zombie bank can really kill them.

Why Are Socialists Afraid of Christianity?

England may ban the display of the cross in the workplace stating it is not a requirement of the Christian faith. This may be a true statement but why would a cross or crucifix offend anyone? What is so offensive about a belief in a Christian God? Or is it fear? We can dismiss this story since it does not impact the United States or is the United States actually impacting the rest of the Christian world?

Did anyone ever believe that the White House would dictate religious doctrine to a group of Catholic bishops?

At a recent meeting between staff of the bishops’ conference and the White House staff, our staff members asked directly whether the broader concerns of religious freedom—that is, revisiting the straight-jacketing mandates, or broadening the maligned exemption—are all off the table. They were informed that they are.  So much for “working out the wrinkles.”  Instead, they advised the bishops’ conference that we should listen to the “enlightened” voices of accommodation, such as the recent, hardly surprising yet terribly unfortunate editorial in America.  The White House seems to think we bishops simply do not know or understand Catholic teaching and so, taking a cue from its own definition of religious freedom, now has nominated its own handpicked official Catholic teachers.

Did anyone ever believe that the president of the United States would make a personal phone call to a woman and state that her parents should be proud of her immorality? But  the Obama administration’s hostility against Christianity has been outlined in detail by David Barton starting in April 2008.

Save Our Homes Rally

The 99% keeps winning! In the last two months, we pushed President Obama to launch a full investigation into the Wall Street banks and a got promise from his administration to allow the Bush-era tax cuts to expire. But even with these huge wins, millions of homeowners are still underwater on their mortgages and need immediate assistance.

60% of homeowners have their mortgages through government-controlled Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. But the agency that oversees this program is run by Bush appointee Ed DeMarco who refuses to allow underwater homeowners to adjust mortgages to reflect real home values.

President Obama has the power to make sure Fannie and Freddie change their policy to provide relief to the ten million Americans struggling with mortgage debt.

That’s why on Thursday, March 15, we’ll head to Obama for America offices to tell the president: Continue reading

The Consequences of “The Right to Protect”

The following report from DEBKAfile details the Palestinian Jihad Islami attack on Israel using Grad rocket launchers smuggled from Libya. The consequences of Valerie Jarrett’s “right to protect” policy adopted by the Obama administration are now just starting to be felt.

IDF strikes Gaza terror targets following rocket barrage

The IAF struck three targets in Gaza overnight Friday in response to a number of rocket attacks from the Strip earlier in the day that left at least eight people injured.

Palestinian terrorists fired approximately 40 rockets from Gaza into southern Israel on Friday night after an air strike killed the secretary general of the Popular Resistance Committees, Zuhair Qaisi.

In the latest round of air strikes, launched after darkness fell, eight more Gaza terrorists were killed, Hamas officials in Gaza said. The IDF Spokesman’s Office said that the Air Force recorded direct hits.

In the Eshkol Regional Council a 40-year-old man was seriously injured, a second man was moderately injured by shrapnel in his stomach and a third was lightly injured. Paramedics said the injured appear to be foreign workers. An electric pole and a vehicle were also damaged in the attack.

Sheila Jackson Lee on Health Care and Sandra Fluke

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wTUtDITN2E

Sheila Jackson Lee asserts the following talking points in the above video:

  1. The affordable health care act has saved this nation.
  2. Sandra Fluke was in the crosshairs of Rush Limbaugh.
  3. Sandra Fluke was called to testify in front of Congress.
  4. Planned parenthood clinics are focused on healthcare.
  5. Sandra Fluke was the victim of public ridicule: this is the reason why Obama called her to tell her that her parents should be proud of her.
  6. She applauds his actions because it is befitting the president to have the humanity to call people under these conditions.

She represents the great state of Texas.

 They Will Come For You

It is not the people who wish for their lives to come to an end. It is not the wish of the people to see their comfort disturbed, to be forced out into the streets to try desperately to save those things of value to a great nation. There would be nothing better in life than to recline with a laptop and browse the Internet with nothing on one’s mind but leisure and entertainment. For those without conscience, this is still possible…for now. But no level of disengagement will survive the insatiable demand of government for control.

One might think themselves safe with their porn and progressive lifestyle. Wait. They will come for you, when they are finished with us.

Liberty is the item on the agenda, it is the one thing the government cannot abide. Liberty is the limitation of power, it is the forestalling of their dream of control.

The Latest from the Rumor Mill Concerning Iran

Dancers hold capsules of UF6 gas during a ceremony in Mashhad, Iran.

See additional comments on Tea Party Nation.

Details concerning the meeting between Obama and Netanyahu earlier this week are starting to leak out concerning Iran. Whether this information is reliable or a feint, it is another example of how powerless the people of the United States are as it concerns the continued future and national security of our country.

From Zerohedge.com:

Today we find what was truly discussed, courtesy of Israel’s Maariv newspaper, Spiegel and Reuters, which all tell us that it was a simple case of quid pro quo, namely that Barack Obama would supply Israel with bunker-busters and refueling planes if Bibi promised to delay an Iran attack until after the presidential election. The implication is simple – avoid an oil price shock this summer and delay it until next winter when Obama will be safely in his throne for another 4 years.

If the reports are accurate, Obama is not letting this crisis go to waste:  the Iranian nuclear threat is being used as a bargaining chip for his own reelection. Here are some points to consider if the reports are accurate:

1. Will Benjamin Netanyahu trust Obama to live up to this word and deliver the goods based on the current state of our relationship with Israel? Continue reading
